- In this video we’re going to go over 10 essential tips for getting the most out of the post-game of Dragon’s Dogma 2. We’re going to cover how to prepare for the Unmoored World section of the game, best farming techniques, how to get the best gear in the game and some things that you’ll want to do before jumping into new game plus.
Post-game refers to the epilogue section of Dragon's Dogma 2 after the final boss. Similar to the original Dragon's Dogma, the post-game has higher level enemies, better loot, and more fun boss fights. Dragon's Dogma 2's post-game is referred to as the "Unmoored World." Interestingly, at this point in the game - the logo on the title screen changes from Dragon's Dogma to Dragon's Dogma II.

This is the only video I've seen so far that mentions how to navigate the red dragon. Most videos just say to use the blade on yourself and go to unmoored world. Thanks for highlighting that we can fight the dragon and explore

its better to treat rests as limited saves for when you die, also carry wakestones if dying is that big of a deal, weird that you didn't mention either of these, Also pretty sure you can go around the border gate and visit the dragonforged w/o story progress, I smuggled myself through in an oxcart the first time, but there's also the mountain path and the cave path on the coast
Resting Even on inn on endgame doesnt save your Game, if You die You always go back to the begining of the end world, so is just a emergency alheal, is better to just Carry a bunch of wakestones anyway

@@hakuyue no the fog does not advance until you rest, and yes You can die and restart everything
@@jesusarmandocontrerasalvar9272 false. You can choose to start at your last rest or the start of unmoored when you die and don't use a wakestone.
If anyone needs preparation for the end I recommend right before the boss fight farm the two dragon's that spawn in the volcanic island. Go with a party majorly full off thieves because they can steal wyrmlife crystals off of dragon's. You'll get about twenty each time you fight them. Wait at the inn at the volcanic island for seven days to reset and rinse and repeat. Had like 600 wyrmlife crystals and because the dig site and volcanic island vendors sell ferrystones I was able to get like 50 of them. Plus I used alot of the crystals to buy the elixirs so that the endgame was a breeze.

It's possible to complete the Arbor Heart evacuation without needing to do the step to take the cutting of the Arborheart anywhere, although I'm not positive what triggers that. I did complete all of the Arbor Heart quests during the normal game, and destroyed the beam dragon prior to speaking to the leaders of the town, but all I had to do was speak to Taliesin three times and he said they'd evacuate. I had both Doireann and Taliesin's reputations maxed prior to this as well. Not a huge deal, but it saved a couple of ferrystones and some time.
Pretty good video, thx for this! You couldve added all the unique gear chests spots in postgame, so I could plan a route to take since there's only 7 days time and u wanna get the most out of it..
For Sphinx quest if you can't remember where your first Seeker Token was, you can dupe one if you have a spare & get a Finder's Token to complete that step.
Additionally, if your pawn got Dragon's Plague in the Unmoored World it will carry over to new game plus. I didn't notice because I wasn't worried about it and lost Vernworth the first night I stayed there, with less than a day of adventuring.

Just camp if you feel that your pawn contracted the disease. Throw all of the pawns in the water easy solution. It happened to me one time and that was enough
@@alexsmith3518 I agree my brother. I am hyper-sensitive to it now. I will never go through that shit again. I have decided to take the plunge into Elden Ring (dark souls) for a first-time player of this style of game. It is a kick in the nuts but having fun "getting good." I will come back to DD2 later as it became too easy and the new game plus was lackluster.
Two things, the excavation site isnt required, or my game glitched and gave me the archicement anyways
And for the elves you can also just talk many times to the leader to convince him yo evacuate, i dont know if it has to do with afinity or random chance, but for me i didnt knew of the elves mission and only talked to him many times and he evenually accepted to leave

@3:47 Seafloor Shrine already has it's own portcrystal, you don't need to drop one there. @9:39 You don't need to reach Bakbattahl before you can speak with the Dragon Forged in NG+. You can go through the Guerco Caverns (West of Harve) to the Dragon Forged before you even reach Checkpoint Town.
for a moment i thought i F up and went to end game when i wanted to do NG+ first but i guess i have to finish those 1st,and even tho i did not encounter the Sphinx good thing is that it will respawn cause i have no clue where i picked my 1st token

Don't you have to be next to the Dragon's heart to use the Blade? I got bad vibes about this video....
1. All Heal Elixirs are rare, but you can make perfect forgeries for 12k gold. Take Wakestones with you to avoid game overs.
2. Don't immediately buy anything from the Dragonforged. Some of these items can be found in chests around the map.
3. Get your Main Pawn back by going to Bakbattahl's research lab.
4. Make sure to do the Elves and volcanic island quests before triggering the Unmoored World.
5. You can easily bypass the gate to the southern region by taking one of two routes. One is in the canal just NW of the Checkpoint town. The other is an eastern passage which is near the line splitting the eastern and western sections of the northern region. It will take you directly past the Dragonforged.
6. You can make perfect forgeries of upgrade materials. In fact, this may be the only way to get them in post game as some monsters are missing.
Is the sorcerer's appraisal in the second start cuz that's the only other quest I couldn't complete gave the five books away on the 1st quest
I missed the evacuation quest in Battahl after finding my pawn, I destroyed the dragon but went straight to seafloor shrine after that, I killed all the Dragons and went back to Battahl last but the NPC is nowhere to be found for me to evacuate the city, Any clues?
I never needed to rest in the post game due to health loss. BUT, I HAD TO rest once after rescuing all of the people from all of the towns/cities to get them to all actually get to the shrine.
Just a note, playing on PS5 and working on my 3rd newgame+. During my second run in the unmoored world did not take a single night to sleep only healed through consumables and the cloud still ate the volcanic island before I ended. I'm sure resting is a possible factor but I'm unsure if time still doesn't pass outside of that at least in new game+.
Is unmoored world the only place to get the best endgame gear? Did NG+, but I didn't farm enough of the bis equipment.
@@Ardious there's certain items only obtainable during unmoored world out in the open world, that an increased high level mobs to farm for mats. That being said, it's a single player game, fashion is greater than stats, especially since you can just outlevel most of the challenge. Fashion in the end is the true endgame.

You need to kill all of the red beacon dragons to slow down the spread of the red mist. I did this first and it allowed me to save and not have it spread.
Does your count for how many seekers tokens you have, also reset?, so you can get the rewards again, or not...?

@Minhajtheminhaj oh its ok thank you, I just wanted to see if you could get the rewards twice or not. Not doing so bad finding them so far with the trickster augment. Plus no real rush if the count carries over to NG+ I guess.
So quick question here. I shoudlnt use the Godsbane blade while riding the dragon right? so what should i do instead?
Id flight him first to get the crystals, and to flight a dragon lol, then at the coordination, DO NOT SIT ON THE THRONE, go talk to the blue guy sitting on the table on your left
So how many WLC should I take into postgame so that I can buy all the gear from the Dragonforged? Looks like I'd need a ton?! Just the items you showed were more than 800 WLC combined. Maybe I can forge WLC at Rest Town?
U can buy all that stuff in new game+, u do t need to buy all in post game

Keep in mind that the dragonforged guy is locked behind the story, so you have to do the story before being able to talk to him
You really don't need to bring any with you because you going to end up with over 600 just by completing the red beams
I completely did not know about using the godsway on yourself and just started regular ng+
Its sick how bad the gamedesign is isnt it? I even missed the colossus fight, because i actually explored the map and took the hidden route to the end part of the map. I watched an ending tutorial before i pressed ng+ so i could actually play the end game area. But this shouldnt be the case. Worst game decisions ever. And running in an armor covered in sperm, after upgrading it to the max, is the tip of the iceberg.
@@FFeeLiT Oh wow really.? I didn’t even know you could totally miss the fight either. I will say the design could need some fixing. It sucks having to search up videos to get through a mission or realizing you’ve completely missed something.

@FFeeLiT it think it fits the game to be able to miss things. I noticed the heart beating and the dragons dialogue "you have made your choice" made me realise theres more to do in this scene on the dragons back. You can go back to the scene taking to the pathfinder in the throneroom.
So its not as cryptical or impossible to find for curious mind
@@LLachs283 bro the questing in this game is by far the worst ive seen in 20 years. Its not only bad, but also in a pre alpha stage. For me its just an excuse for poor work theyve put into the game to release it quickly.
Trying to evacuate battahl but I don’t see mnella anywhere. The empress told me to find her in the city but I don’t see her. I did the red portal thing before this so I’m thinking she might’ve died ? if that’s the case where do I find her body ? I know it goes to a morgue but where’s that at ?

In unmoored World can we kill boss first than evacuate village or we have to do évacuation first?
You can do them in either order
Kill boss before sleeping or else the fog will swallow the settlement.
Is better to kill bosses first so the clouds don't advance, then take your time cleaning the map
2:49 you can also swap between vocations at the Vocation Guild and it'll instantly restore all your HP.
Also, can you change your Arisen and Pawn's name on New Game+?
Yes you can use your previous run's characters and edit them like a new character.

There is another store option to buy from the dragonforged for class stat gain boosts. Not entirely sure how it works tho.
Improve ability reduces stamina cost by half, the class one increases stats for that vocation
@aurun1015 like per level literally or does it calculate per level gained while active or already gained and talies up your bases based on that?
@@RaidenKaiser I believe it does it from base stats, same as when you switch vocation your stats change soim I 'think' it's from a base level rather than each level accumulated after doing it. I think lol...

But if you _gained_ it, it should count even if you didn't use it and lost it somehow. Judging by the other way - I got all master skills, except for MS - motherfucking Sigurd refused to give it to me, so didn't want to wait/gift and just used Crazy's Shop mod to buy one (prob the most OP and fun skills at the same time)
Try the vendor that makes forgeries, choose buy rare items (or something like that) and he sells important items that you lost or sold (but at a higher price).
I never used all heal elixer, I did everything without sleeping. Thief ftw, feintless form and blades of pyre on everything. 😅😅😅😅
Hmm. Can we continuously talk to the pathfinder instead of sitting on the throne, to keep repeating the final boss fight and farm the 100 Wrmcrystals ? Or nah lol?

The sphinx seeker token quest didnt reset for me in NG+ which was really annoying, I made my first one collected was on the Vermund Aquaduct but the finders token wasnt there :(

dragonforged cave is not locked behind story progression theres a cave that will lead you there and this is also a way to get into battahl without a permit

Just go ng+ and don't do the Main quest, theres literally no difference...besides the sea shrine but thats all
True ending, best ending, ending with best gear & oh don’t do this quest or you’ll lose mass items to gain and quest’s you would’ve been able to complete.. man this game got me too damn nervous to advance through at all I don’t know what the hell I should do 🤦🏻♂️

I unknowingly fucked up quest with fucking books for final spells for sorc... I miss 1 book and it's nowhere to be found
There are total of 6 or 7 books, i think the meteoron book (forgot the name) has 2 or 3 books.
All you need is just gave 3 books to the girl and 3 books to the guy without even need to do forgery, unless you use 3 of them.

The best preparation for the unmoored world is to do it after your game +. You'll get the best gear in game + and you'll be level 70 or higher when you enter the unmoored world. You'll also have enough ferrystones and allheal potions if you save them up during your earlier playthroughs.

I dont understand, why have so many power progression options when NG+ has no scaling. Killing everything in 1 hit is extremely boring! Im on my second playthrough but i started a New game instead
Just change class and do it for your pawn too….try different choices and so on….
One shotting for me is good beacause the are spots where there are enemies every 5 steps and it makes all boring
They get stronger in the unmoored world. Trust me certain enemies still cause major issues despite me leveling up aka headless horseman 😭😭

I’m conflicted about this game. I enjoyed it to an extent, but it disappointed me at soma many ways. They don’t care they made our money.
I still can't believe that these psychopaths deleted my Inn save after having an NPC tell me specifically that I should save, launching me into postgame with ZERO warning.
Worst feature in any game ever is how these clownshoes control your saves and delete hours of progress. I deleted this mess, because after several more hours into the postgame, I died and didn't use a revive, and they brought me all the way back to the beginning. These people are trash. It's not about getting good, it's about getting continually screwed out of real-life hours and hours for a half-cooked IP. Don't even get me started on "dragon plague" which wiped out an entire town before I was barely even started. Never even got a chance to do the sphynx challenge. 🖕🖕

I used the wakestone that you get from killing the sphinx & revived everyone! Still probably fucked up some quests because I seemed to have missed quite a few.
I heard you can also wait a few ingame weeks.
Important npcs and merchants respawn after a week or two ingame, You deleted your game for nothing 💀

Milions of years to develop this for a neerfed dogma game with at most a 1-2 hour story, thats it, I give at most 3 hours of story if you rush it, rest is completely go around unlock extra stuff and beat same enemies oevr and over. Game industry went to shit themself and people justify this bullshit should go fucking themself too because they are the first cause that this stuff happen.
This game is not very well made because I missed so much content, items and ruined quests. I don't do guides/tutorials I think it's kind of cheating. I just play the game on first play through and just experiencing it as is. I actually did not get to play ANY of the end game content Unmoore world. Because once I got to it, I assumed I was on a time limit as the world was ending and teleported to all the red beams and killed all the bosses including the Sea Floor Shrine boss...which ended my game and now I'm locked out of the endgame content. I am not going to put 60 hours into the game again to experience the end content. I swear the Devs go out of their way to screw the players on this game. This is where having multiple save slots would have been great...screw you Capcom!
Dark arisen was made with more love. Imo they rushed this game. I still like it but underwhelming. Clunky and glitchy hillclimbing and un wanted movements
