There are a few more armor pieces I’ve found in unmoored world. One is the enshadowed battle garb, which can be found on a gore-chimera just south of the promethian hood. Next is the hyperboreal lorica, which can be found on a pus dragon just northeast of Harve* Village. Third is the Dominator’s Armor, which can be found in the dried riverbed opposite of the direction you’d head to get to the light near Vernworth (if you head down to the docks, go northeast from there). 4th and 5th there are 2 more armor sets on volcano island. Idk how many times I've revisited this guide. Leaving a second comment because it's just that great. And also to reassure, that Lamond gave me no trouble. I gave him newt liquor to get the meister skill and a random escort mission with him. He wanted to go a completely dif direction at the time, so he helped me kill my first drake and more before it was completed.
Me too. I got the “safe” ending. I’m glad I did though because there’s so much preparation into getting the true ending/unmoored world. I was broke and needing lots of upgrades in my first play through.
Bro, this 💯 I would have preferred 10 more hours of quest, the eternal red darkness just gave me anxiety 😂 idk why, just did.. Capcom messed up with it in my opinion.
@@dgjacobs80 I'd be cool with it if once you cleared the red beams you had unlimited time to play around as long as you like. But since you still only have like 7 days I just felt like why bother? And finished it instantly
Appreciate the vid - ty! For anyone like me that didn’t save the heart of Sacred Arbor in the regular world, can’t initially evacuate Elves. However, if you speak Taliesin, rest & speak with him again the dialogue changes. Rest 3 times and in the final conversation Taliesin will admit defeat and evacuate the citizens of Sacred Arbor. Just be mindful of the number of days you’ve slept.
The spearhand quest is not affected by any quest. The maester ends up in harve, and you get the skill by going to Dragon's breath tower in the far south east of the map and allowing the maester to join your fight with the dragon there. All of the golems on volcanic Island drop electrum. I had 20 before coming to unmoored.
Most accurate and detailed guide while still being to the point. This guide is definitely easing my anxiety since beginning the Unmoored World :) thank you shatter! Much love 🖤
You see, the DD game turned me into a fantasy apocalypse prepper, which means that I stocked up on everything long before the game threw another apocalypse at me!
Some of the abilities are OP as hell. It made the fight with Grigori easy. Heck, even the bosses in the Unmoored World were easy. Choose Wayfarer and use augural flare. Next, use the Magick Archer skill Sagittate Avalanche or simply spam the regular lock-on attack. Grigori will go down even faster if you put the flare on his heart. I had to stop using this setup to make the Unmoored World more challenging.
I love how both of the dragon's dogma games don't shy away from letting you make yourself completely OP if that's all you want to do, a lot of other games would balance patch stuff like that but DD just lets you do it if it's fun to you. In a lot of ways you select your own difficulty with what you use, as well as stuff like how many pawns you use. My solo NG+ playthrough feels totally different. Augural Flare + Skull Splitter is also insanely broken. Augural Flare on Warfarer just is in general lol
if you want a challenge, don't overlevel yourself for the end game. i've seen players at level 70 plus. you can beat the unmoored at level 50. maybe some people like easy mode !!!!!!! lol
I died during the first light pillar quest in Bakbattahl. A corrupted goblin through a grenade at me which one shotted me in full Dragon-forged equipment. I opted not to use a wakestone as the guide suggests thinking I would start at the beginning of that light pillar quest again and was forced to start over from the beginning of the unmoored world. Either this guide is wrong or Capcom has patched / changed the rules since then. Video says this around 15:40
45:30 your first example, Boltscales, can be dropped by certain Asps that spawn in Darkhorde Cave south of Sacred Arbor Edit: they are found in base game to be more specific, not just unmoored world
There’s a golem in a maze-like cave system north of the bridge that Talos destroyed, where there used to be water. He dropped 6 electrum for me and a free Godscale Beastcoat which can be bought from endgame vendor, but nice to get for free since it’s regularly 110 wyrm crystals
On the third part of the evacuation mission in bakbattahl you can choose to take a few punches and walk around and they will get tired and hungry and forget why they were fighting in the first place.
If you're strong enough, get a forager spelcialist pawn and use em to find boss enemies in the unmoored world. There were a few armor drops with em. Also, talk to the elf leader again immediately after he turns you down. I did and then he was just like, "sure, ill evacuate now i guess." I never did the forest forger quest.
I’m convinced the unmoored world is Dragons Dogma 2. Just the unmoored world. Just that 2 hour long piece of the game. It’s the best part of the game and it’s so short 😢
So for the elf you can still evacuate them if you keep talking to the father non stop, eventualy you will be so stubborn that he will give up and evacuate haha
Can confirm. I had no affinity with the father and only did the first quest with the kid (giving him his first bow). Talked to the dad, sleep, talk, sleep, talk and then he finally gives in and exacuates.
This just got me through unmoored. Wish I didn't petrify my Talos. He didn't show up in Unmoored. Only found one of his spikes that fell in the water. The others fell on beach and were wakestone shards.
Also, if you have any fresh/ripe fruit, dob any combining before Unmoored, all mine went rotten in storage. Medusa heads went to garbage too, had 7 of em... Was NOT happy about that
For Civil Unrest quest: 1 - "Bear Witness" to the dual by the vocation change. Then change to Warfarer or Spear, equipping the Shield skill. 2 - In front of the cheaper house, two men are fighting, put on the shield and speed through the dialogue. Cast the shield every 5 seconds for 30 seconds and they stop fighting you. Do not attack them. 3 - Grab dried food from your chest, since unmoored rots all of your food from pre unmoored. Go up near the entrance to Battahl by the bazaar. Two dads are arguing. Say "Neither are wrong." Talk to the duaghter on the right, as you face the entrance to Bakbattahl. Talk to her and give dried food or a beast steak. NOTHING ROTTEN OR RIPE. The dads stop bickering and support their kids sharing the food. Civil Unrest is now complete with a perfect execution of all squabbles.
To get 3 Newt Liqueur and get help from Lamont in Unmoored World. Throughout your game play, you should have gotten some Fruit Wine bottles from various characters and chests. These Fruit Wine bottles can be combined with Saurian Tails to craft Newt Liqueur. I am not sure 100%, but I think you get 2 Newt Liqueur from one Fruit Wine + Saurian Tail craft. So if you have two Fruit Wine bottles, you are in luck. If you sold em or used them for something, you are screwed. Check your storage. Fruit Wine bottles and Saurian tails might have been stored there and forgotten about.
You can still buy a Newt Liqueur from the NPC Earland in Bakbattahl while in the unmoored playthrough. He is north of the Flamebearer Palace Road text on the map. He stops you for a cutscene to offer the newt liqueur. You can also craft it with 1 Saurian Tail and 2 Fruit Wine.
Oh giving up in the final sequence reloads the last rest/inn save in the unmoored world, that's what happenedd to me. So if you didn't rest at all, I guess it would put you right at the beginning of the unmoored world
29:36 I,Talos is missable if you let the NPC's deal with it through lava(basically ignore him and bum rush to the excavation site). If Talos dies through this, you'll have 2 extra red light pillars to deal with. If Talos dies after losing 1 hand, you have 1 extra red light pillar to handle. If he dies before losing a hand, he takes care of both the light pillars. I cant remember if you get the WLC from letting him kill the pair though.
This is good info to know. I had no idea! I was just trying to get through the main story as fast as possible and that involved defeating Talos as fast as possible. Thanks again for the information!
@@ThcC0wboy No, you'll miss it if you ignore him. Fastest way is to use the unmaking arrow once he's ashore. Afterwords, mount the ballista and let him have it. The reason why you want him ashore is to pick up his drops from the spikes which each give a wakestone shard for a total 6. If you wish to be prudent with the arrow, then stock up on stamina curative and let him have it as a thief with the appropriate attunements for stamina conservation. You can also spam Maelstrom as a Sorc(meteron is too innacurate). Dont forget to use the skill that lets you store a spell as well. I wouldnt recommend archer since you have to aim which takes too much time and has dropoff damage. For your pawn set-up, go pure dps with thief or sorc as well. Having a healer with Celestial Paen is up to preference as well since enemies will all ignore you, not spawn throughout the encounter. As a side note, I wonder if the spikes embedded in him are the same as the spikes from all those post-game dragons you have to fight
I used the shield spell from the mystic spear vocation, they kept peaceful solution for back bthal quest the fighting dudes hitting me for a while then stopped and said they had enough and that took the heat of or something
Thank you for making this video. I must of gone over it 8 times. Much appreciated. Would it be possible what is the black armour the character is wearing?
I am not a fan of a time limit for the endgame. Would be fun to be free and explore. Also, if the dragon forged gear sticks around to Ng+, does the regular merchant gear? I noticed some much better gear there too, while not the website best was still cool and might give aesthetic options.
CORRECTION - There are 6 Portcrystals available and then a 7th in NG+. The 6th Portcrystal can be bought from the dragon forge vendor with Wrymslife and the 7th one is in NG+ for doing the Sphinx riddle again. AND you are also missing a massively huge pro-tip before heading off into the end game. The Eternal Wakestone can have a forgery made of it and it makes an exact copy, meaning you can spend quite a bit of that gold you got saved up and stock up on these before heading in there. That said, it cost 20k gold a copy and is confirmed to be an exact working copy of the original. If you are headed into the end game you probably have a ton of gold saved up so the 20k isn’t that big of a deal. The 6th portcrystal should be placed in the elven town. You should also farm as many Wrymslife crystals as you can before entering. You are going to need like 120 per class to buy the best armor and weps in the game.
You don’t need a port crystal in the elven town because a permanent one appears there and is available as soon as you interact with the port Crystal at sea floor shrine. As for the 6th port Crystal, isn’t it only available from the dragon forged after you get to NG+
@@ItsShatter no I have bought port cristal from dragon forge. Before i make the last part of the final mission!first run!and now I go to farm dragon, for buy more ferrystone!
@@lukedawg2787 The port crystal you get in new game plus is a forgery. You can use the copy any item to get another. In my opinion I'd copy port crystals until you have ten because that's the limit.
just a heads up great guide but if you die doing a red beacon you do not go back to the start of the fight. i tried it with the worm in sacred arbor and lost hours of ganeplay. still great guide just update that if you can
Electrum will drop in the normal world off one single Golem just south west of the volcano camp on the southern path, which is just south east of the orc camp between the mystic archer master and volcano camp. However that golem will drop anywhere from zero to three electrum each time you fight it, usually just 1. The only resource that seems a problem to find in the normal world is eldricite. As they seem to only drop from the purple wisps which seem to be absent in the normal world despite a forager indicating the resource is on the normal map. Cursed Dullium bones are significantly easier to get in the unmoored world compared to the normal one as the headless horseman seems to be everywhere there!
Question: I'm preparing for the first entrance into the unmoored world. Do the portcrystals change locations in the unmoored world. There isn't one in Sacred Harbor, I placed one of my mobile ones. There is one in Bakbattahl, but you placed a mobile crystal there. Did the latest patch (big) change this? Late to Drsgon's Dogma because I use a 6 month rule on new games, so they are polished.
I replayed from the start; they did change port crystal locations with an update. Sacred Harbor doesn't have a fixed one, Bakbattahl does have one. If you want to add an addendum to your video description.
That seems reasonable. I got it in a previous playthrough. I didn’t do the necessary steps to get warfarer on the second game playthrough/one that I used to record the footage for this video.
Excellent video thank you, we appreciate it. I must say though, this is video for people literally did absolutely nothing prior to fighting the dragon lol ONLY doing main quest til like level 25 or 30 and then fighting the dragon. Nothing wrong with that but as a gamer, exploration and completing side quests IS the main quest lmao then you actually go do the main quest
You can farm electrum any time you want before Post Game in the entrance of the cavern where you do the quest to get Sara to become your dwarf smith. The golem respawning there drops them.
Finishing the video: before post game, you can find the spiked saurians, the serpents as you said in the Darkhorde cave south of the Elf encampment. I was actually looking for that material with pawn quests and a few minutes later I came across that cave full of those saurians. Farmed it until I got 20 pieces of the material.

Somehow I missed this whole place. I am going through another play through and use this helpful video.
Me too. I got the “safe” ending. I’m glad I did though because there’s so much preparation into getting the true ending/unmoored world. I was broke and needing lots of upgrades in my first play through.
Well my hats off to you sir, as you are the only one to make an UMW guide. Good job.
I played this game blind and it was well worth it. Finding the unmoored world on your own is a great experience!
I think it’s almost impossible for somebody to discover the unmoored world without a guide.
I find the unmoored world stressful and not fun at all but wanted to see the final cutscene lol thank you so much, this is exactly the guide i needed
@@dgjacobs80I didn’t mind unmoored quests but the red gave me anxiety/felt overwhelmed too. Almost a fright at times
Much love 🖤
I've been hip to your guide when I played baldur's gate 3, just dropped in to say your awesome with your narration keep up the good work
You see, the DD game turned me into a fantasy apocalypse prepper, which means that I stocked up on everything long before the game threw another apocalypse at me!
Augural Flare on Warfarer just is in general lol
if you want a challenge, don't overlevel yourself for the end game. i've seen players at level 70 plus. you can beat the unmoored at level 50. maybe some people like easy mode !!!!!!! lol
Now, THIS is how walkthroughs are done. Well done, my friend. You definitely deserve more subs, including my own now, lol.
This is the most thorough guide so far. Thank you!
Thanks!
Thank you so much for the generous donation Chumalou! Wishing you a great week!
Great guide! Helped me figure out a few things on what was going on at the this segment of the game.
Best guide I've found so far! Thanks man, we all appreciate your hard work!
Excellent guide and a brilliant walkthrough.
No fluff, thorough, and all to-the-point.
Thank you so much!!
❤🕹👍❤
Very nice my dude. Thanks a bunch for your hard work 👍🏼
Wow. This game is more complicated than i’ve ever thought.
45:30 your first example, Boltscales, can be dropped by certain Asps that spawn in Darkhorde Cave south of Sacred Arbor
Edit: they are found in base game to be more specific, not just unmoored world
There’s a golem in a maze-like cave system north of the bridge that Talos destroyed, where there used to be water. He dropped 6 electrum for me and a free Godscale Beastcoat which can be bought from endgame vendor, but nice to get for free since it’s regularly 110 wyrm crystals
Whoa!! The amount of work you do to do this is remarkable. You gain a subscriber here.. thanks!!
Thanks a lot man. Your guide helped me. I did a lot wrong for the unmoored world. Can't wait for the elden ring dlc. You should stream it man!
32:28 make newt liqueur with fruit wine and saurian tail, then dupe it at Ibrahim’s shop.
On the third part of the evacuation mission in bakbattahl you can choose to take a few punches and walk around and they will get tired and hungry and forget why they were fighting in the first place.
10:59 You don't have to go near the dragon glowing heart, you can do it while mounting the dragon and use the sword on self. It works.
Assuming this is legit, thanks for sharing the info!
@@ItsShatter A Twitch streamer TeaWithMandy did it. So it should be. I saw it myself.
@@ItsShatter did it myself, never climbed to the dragon’s heart so I can second that it works
If you're strong enough, get a forager spelcialist pawn and use em to find boss enemies in the unmoored world. There were a few armor drops with em.
Also, talk to the elf leader again immediately after he turns you down. I did and then he was just like, "sure, ill evacuate now i guess." I never did the forest forger quest.
u are best on youtube!!😊
Thanks for the guides shatter, you always do an amazing job explaining and showing steps needed to get stuff done. Thanks for your work
I’m convinced the unmoored world is Dragons Dogma 2. Just the unmoored world. Just that 2 hour long piece of the game.
It’s the best part of the game and it’s so short 😢
Crazy good guide. Beats Fextralife by a mile.
Even explained the dragonsplague cause directly.
So for the elf you can still evacuate them if you keep talking to the father non stop, eventualy you will be so stubborn that he will give up and evacuate haha
Wait are you serious? That’s amazing if true
Was NOT happy about that
This guide was the best. No comparison. Pet marshmallow for me.
Still using your elden ring guid till now ....your the g.o.a.t
I died during the light pillar quest and it made me restart from day of awekening
btw the sacred arbor light pillar mission does send you back to the start of the unmoored world so use a wakestone if u die there
For Civil Unrest quest:
1 - "Bear Witness" to the dual by the vocation change.
So if you didn't rest at all, I guess it would put you right at the beginning of the unmoored world
Proper in game guide dude..not rushed and explains everything with clarity..👍👍 I’ll be using this when I’m ready for unmoored world👍👍
At 20:35 You gotta let you self get beaten up when the two start to fight you. Just use Spear Hand skill Mirour Shelde
Very smart.
I followed this guide to the T. Thank you.
20:38 just let them beat your ass, they'll get tired and say they cannot continue fighting, then they'll walk peacefully
Awesome guide! Very helpful. Thanks alot.
Thank you for a very deep and informative guide.
Amazing guide was very helpful thanks!
Great guide and easy to follow. Thanks for your effort!
Super solid! Thanks for making this.
@@ItsShatter so the fastest way to kill him is ignore him ? Did you also the achievement this way?
@@livenreloaded good to know thanks
I wish I would of seen this video a few days ago, I thought I beat the game after the dragon and credits. Now I am doing it again!!
I used the shield spell from the mystic spear vocation, they kept peaceful solution for back bthal quest the fighting dudes hitting me for a while then stopped and said they had enough and that took the heat of or something
sick guide! will tackle this tomorrow! much appreciated
Fantastic work my man!!
Thank you for making this video. I must of gone over it 8 times. Much appreciated. Would it be possible what is the black armour the character is wearing?
Nice work on this one, I'm sure Marshmallow was supervising your every move to make sure it was done properly🧐
@@ItsShatter no sir you can buy 1 from him from the get go. The only “extra” one you get in NG+ is from doing the sphynx riddle again.
@@lukedawg2787 yes you’re right, you can get it right away.
In my opinion I'd copy port crystals until you have ten because that's the limit.
just a heads up great guide but if you die doing a red beacon you do not go back to the start of the fight. i tried it with the worm in sacred arbor and lost hours of ganeplay. still great guide just update that if you can
In the civil unrest you can let the two guys beat you up and eventually they get tired and give up.
Very clear and cohesive guide, this helped me out a lot thank you
Electrum will drop in the normal world off one single Golem just south west of the volcano camp on the southern path, which is just south east of the orc camp between the mystic archer master and volcano camp.
Question:
I'm preparing for the first entrance into the unmoored world.
I like my musings only because they help your channel.
One appears after the unmoored world that isn't there before.
31:56 did you have warfarer? I think you have to unlock warfarer from Lamond if you want him to cooperate
At 40:17. What are the helm, armor, and greaves you have on your character? I like them a lot!
The guide is excellent, helped a huge amount thank you
