OSU is the first team in championship history to score 4 TDs on the first 4 drives. Not to mention 31 unanswered points. This was a beat down. The defense was completely outplayed here.
Riley Leonard played his ass off this year. Good Job! Now, it's time to get another mobile QB that has better accuracy. Also, a QB that can process plays faster and get the ball out quickly.
I agree. The OC play calling is not creative. I have never been a Mike Denbrock fan. No creativity against top teams. I wish he would have stayed with BK.
Wearing my Irish shirt with pride this morning, great season and a whole lot better season in 2025, your doing a awesome job Marcus and I hope you're our coach for a very long time.
It was more about getting exposed than anything else. Not a very good scoring team and a defense that has never faced an offense like this. Ohio State did whatever it wanted on offense and at one point it was 31-7. Considering the limitations on offense, this team over achieved.
ND was catching on D (and I'm being kind because a times they got BLOWN off the ball). As well, they didn't tackle well in situations where they were in position. It was a bad day. Injuries were indeed evident. Watching the first half, it became evident ND needed to execute every time they had the ball. And true to form, they had a couple brain fart posessions. Don't need to score on those, but eat clock...it made that X Watts interception chance critical...didn't get that either. In order to make it a rock fight they needed to enter the second half tied or down a score. Gotta spend and develop Dline...went down fighting
Ohio State built up a 31-7 lead and then took their foot off of the gas peddle. Though the final score might indicated that it was a close game, the outcome never was in doubt. Bucknuts #1!
Two things can be right at once. Ohio State did take its foot off the gas pedal. But if Notre Dame holds OSU on 3rd-and-11, they have a chance to tie the score. Ohio State clearly was the better football team. There is no doubt about that. But the game still was in doubt.
I know, that was a good opening drive, but you're not going to do that all game. You gotta cruise up and down the field, not slog. So it was imperative if that's how we were going to score, that tOSU not be allowed to score, or really have to work for it like ND did. And unfortunately tOSU did whatever they wanted the whole first half. But whatever, we were an injured team.
@@caseyburns678 osu has best wr room in the nation, arguably the best running back tandem in the nation, an experienced, solid qb who is a def run threat. Solid tight ends. The only question on offense was the patched up o-line…they had great tests against tenn, oregon and texas…and improved because of it. ND is an excellent team. They just ran into a generationally excellent/great team.
@@MrRainrunner what is the excuse going to be next time we make it to the national championship and lose? This is not new, we have not been able to play with the elites since the 1980s.
Disagree, we will have more opportunities I am honestly curious why you don’t think so, unless you’re just one of the million ND trolls/haters coming to tell us we don’t belong or whatever
@tedmullenix8930 he has a point. ND had an easier path to the title game and several programs were down this year. Teams like Oklahoma, Alabama, USC, Michigan, etc will only get better than they were this year. Might be another decade+ before ND gets another title shot.
depends whether they keep Marcus Freeman. He did a spectacular job! With the 12 team playoff, you will be back often. That opening drive of yours looked awesome...made me think it might be another game like against Michigan. It was impressive and a bit scary.
"Out of character"? I think you meant to say "injured" lol If we had just Benjamin Morrison we win, let alone everybody else out. Ohio was fortunate to play us when we were so shorthanded.
Notre Dame has a $15 million roster from my sources and Ohio State had just 7 transfers on this year's squad. The bulk of their talent was recruited out of high school and they paid them to stay, just as Notre Dame does. No excuses. It's beneath Notre Dame to do so.
An OSU alum here, it was a good game. The Irish didn't quit. Good program and a good coach.
Great year for the Irish and great coverage by you guys. Appreciate your work

Kudos. OSU - the best team money can buy.
@@JoesLast2BrainCells There are 3 teams in the top ten that spent more than OSU!!!!!! Sour grapes???????
The Buckeyes previously had to learn the lesson that the Irish has just learned to get where they are.

Buckeyes fan giving props to ND for a good game. With 12 teams in the playoffs you should get more chances.
Was also in the stadium (OSU fan), great these two historic programs met, Irish fans were great, positive vibes in stadium, fan of Marcus F of course.
Thank you are all your work. Great season looking forward to Game 1 v Miami in Sept 2025
I have good news for you. August 2025.
You guys are always professional & positive. Thanks for the great coverage all year. It was a great season, just a very disappointing ending.

Awesome season, now spend the offseason re-vamping the run game. Design, scheme, etc

I think with Marcus Freeman Notre Dame is going to be great for years to come. He is a great coach with astounding character.
We were decimated on both front lines. But we were the Fighting Irish!
Once OSU got over 30 points, game was over. ND wasn’t scoring more than that.
Still
ND till
The end!!

The Irish will be in the playoffs as long as they don't lose more than 2 regular season games

THE OHIO STATE !!!!!! BTA
Where was jaylen sneed? ausberry played bad and kva wasnt impressive tonight either
Finished number 2 in the country. That means we’re the first loser
