One detailed look at NIL shows the absurdity of all the talk about Ohio State buying a team: Texas 22 million. Ohio State 20 million. Georgia 19 million. For the past few weeks, all we hear is Ohio State NIL. The talk got most intense prior to, during and after the Texas game, without a mention that Texas pays more in NIL than Ohio State does. The AVERAGE SEC school pays 30% MORE in NIL than the average Big Ten team. Even at the top we see this, but Georgia and Texas averaging 20.5 million. At some point it might be nice to hear about the NIL plague without mentioning Ohio State, where they were slow to jump on the NIL bandwagon, but were essentially dragged into it by reality checking.
My son plays D1 TE today and he played 7-7 with Brock Bowers from 8th - Junior year. They absolutely dominated but more importantly Brock was out leaping CB’s & Safeties by a foot. I knew he was going to special but had no clue this good. His mom & dad are amazing people as well.
Ohio State won the first 4-team playoff. They won the first 12-team playoff. I don't think people remember how close they were to winning the first BCS Championship too. In 1998, they were #1 from preseason to November 7, were 8-0 and beating teams by the average score of 38-9. They were up 24-9 in the 3rd quarter against Nick Saban's Michigan St team and lost 28-24. They won their next 2 games by the average score of 38-12 but finished #3 in the polls behind Florida St. Won the Sugar Bowl 24-14 to finish 11-1 with every win by double digits.
After Ohio State went up 28-7 Chip Kelly took his foot off the gas completely. Howard threw 7 passes in the second half!! After starting the game 13-13. I hated the majority of the second half because it looked like we had no interest in blowing out ND. ND is tough and I give them credit for fighting, but that's not a close game if Chip just keeps calling the game like he did up until we took the 28-7 lead to start the second half. Michigan beats Oklahoma on the road
Baylor beats Auburn at home
FSU beats Alabama at home and UF on the road
Georgia Tech beats Georgia at home
Louisville beats Kentucky at home
Memphis beats Arkansas at home
Kansas beats Missouri on the road
Arizona State beats Mississippi State at home
But the sec is dominating 😂😂😂😂
Randy moss was great. Bo Jackson
These guys are too giddy over ND. They could have easily been beat by PSU… probably should have been
Colin is so dumb when it comes to the B10 vs SEC thing on graduates. Maybe they just have bigger older schools.
Side-note, the SEC was always worse than the B10, they just had a better top tier team.
LSU does not have a money problem. What a joke.
Truth hurts huh? 😂
what are you two applauding ND for ? their position as an untested independwnt school is NOT commendable. Every conference should BLACKBALL ND from their schedules. Make them join a conference snd COMPETE
Marcus does not strike me as an NFL coach. I could however see Ryan Day go. Especially if he could take the patriots.
Day would maybe go to Cincinnati or somewhere like that maybe, I think.
Does Collin do any research? Every time Joe comes on the podcast he has to correct him. Guy is a yapper who just shoots off at the mouth with zero pushback because it’s his show.
cj car will not be a freshman next year. he'll be a sophomore. get your facts right please. thank you
I will never respect them
A. Never have a big boy schedule … ridiculous
B. Won’t join a conference
C. Never have to play championship game as they can sit at home eating Cheetos watching teams lose to help their cause
It’s an absolute joke
BIG deal someone had to win 😂.
Its not like something wrong happened 😂. Starting in September we can start all over again
The ND not being in a conference may change if the playoffs say you must be in a conference to participate. The hand needs to be forced
Why do they need to be in a conference?
