The Walmart is the most popular campground in Whitehorse, Yukon - where RVers from around the world and RVs of all types boondock for free on the way to and from Alaska.
We thought so too. Unfortunately just a couple weeks after we visited, Whitehorse Walmart announced they were no longer offering overnight parking for RVs. Our blog has details about the announcement. :(
We agree. Also detached toads and even BBQs out. Crazy! To everyone's credit, however, the local RV parks fill up so fast each day during peak season that there's no doubt many of the folks staying there arrive after finding zero vacancies.
Pretty cool. You always hear Walmart horror stories and people getting kicked out. Love to see RV friendly places!
