Well done Ireland. Thank you players, supporters and everyone else to coming to South Africa. We enjoyed you guys so much.
Please return to South Africa.
Cheers from Durban. 🇮🇪🍀🇿🇦🏉
Ireland handled us😂 impressive win Ireland. They dominated almost on all fronts. 2 drops is crazy. What a game🤝🏼
Thank u from Ireland 🇮🇪 🤝🇿🇦
Much respect to South Africa World Cup winners and no1 from 🇮🇪
@dazza9859 Don't lie, they're not number 1. They're actually number 8 in terms of number of trophies won
He's spent a lot of his life here... More of an Irish rugby supporter than most Irish rugby supporters.
Lovely man funny as well .Gent .
Game reconlgnizes Game. Well done Ireland absolute full value for the win. My fellow Bok fan will agree, lets not forget we did the exact same thing a couple of months ago THREE times in a row.Ireland well done!!
Great test series, love the IE SA rivalry, always brilliant games.
Didn't think Matt could give me goosebumps talking about that game 😊 Absolutely. So good for rugby 🇿🇦🇮🇪🎉
What a game Ireland and South Africa went all out. Ireland truely outplayed us. Congratulations guys and thank you for the entertaining game.
Ouch to lose but Ireland were the better team, nothing between these teams. Great rivalry brewing.
You're playing catch up at the moment when it comes to recent games with Ireland. Last 5 games, 4 wins for Ireland, only 1 win for the Bokkes. But the Bokkes are world champs so they're still number 1.
@@PB22559was just gonna say that not much of a rivalry 4-1 too one sided.
@@PB22559you’re cleary not a rugby man. A newbie shall we say. The man tried to congratulate him and you felt the need to give him a history lesson! You stink of insecurity
Matt Williams played mind games on Rassie, n Siya kolisi too the bait n forced Rassie to mix the bomb squad as we have seen they substituted player's one by one very deep inside the second half didn't do six same time like last week, great work Matt you won🎉🎉🎉🎉
Willie Le Roux went off in the 1st minute (straight away they down a man despite it being a backline player. There are players in the forwards who can fill in as backs hence why we have the 6/2 split), there was constant back and forth changes with blood bins, it changed the whole bench plan. Don’t fool yourself the clown MW had nothing to do with it. If anything he is bad for rugby, he act like this is a little girls game…its far to physical for him.
Have lived in both countries for lengthy periods so find myself on the fence.
So did we - the Boks were terrific hosts and very generous in their appreciation of the Irish team and supporters.
Frawley has a leadership quality at 10 that evokes confidence. He is an attacking threat with ball in hand, and has a boot on him that’s probably 20% greater than a typical 10…. He was exceptional when he took 10 from Byrne in urc against Munster. And he played 10 (exceptionally well) when Leinster beat La Rochelle away. No disrespect to Crowley. But for me, Frawley has a higher ceiling and is the best 10 in Ireland right now….
Good insight for someone not watching the Northern Hemisphere. Had no idea who Frawley was. Not now.
@@Bloxnz Lots of speculation that Frawley has been held back because the father of the Byrne brothers is a big Leinster financial sponsor. In any case, delighted to see Cullen embarrassed because his selections have been shit.
He's also physically tough and looks bigger than the other 10s (though Crowley does tackle well too). Hard to judge ceilings between him and Crowley as they are both quite similar in a lot of ways. Frawley is more mature and experienced and I think that showed in the way he managed the game yesterday. Rather then either/or, the prospect of the two of them for Ireland is a great one.
..Ciaran frawley is 28' now ..Stuart lancaster mentioned years ago what a talented he Is ..but ironically has only been playing 'bit parts' with leinster and Ireland ..needs to be sorted out and clarified..

Indeed, there’s politics in everything including rugby.
That little burst from Frawley and then the grubber kick that Sacha took into touch, was the difference in the game. I thought Sacha made a mistake myself although he may have felt he had no choice as he did not know for sure where the ball was going to go. It reminded of the fatal James Lowe decision from the previous week. I hope Leinster have a change of mind about Frawley playing 10. I think they will be under tremendous pressure now to make that change.
Speaking of Antoine Frisch he scored a try for France yesterday.
Frawley is dancing to Bob Marley’s Redemption song!
Huge performances all round, but a big up for Caolin Blade, new into the squad but really tested SA in the last few minutes, and the pass to Frawley for the dg had to be right.
If we could sort out scrum out we would be nearly impossible to beat. The coaches have to get working hard on that.
That scrum question is boiling up nicely....work and new talent scrumside coming fast It will arrive for the six nations .❤
We don't have the players in depth at loosehead or tight-head, unfortunately. After Porter and Furlong there is a big drop-off in quality.
@@decekfrokfr3mdxWell that I know of anyway there are Jack Boyle and Paddy McCarthy coming along at loosehead and Scot Wilson at tighthead. There could be others that I don’t know about but it’s an area that we have to focus on.
Well done Ireland, great series and looking forward to this rivalry. Too bad there is no 3rd test. :(
NO MENTION OF THE REF THIS WEEK HEY LADS ? TWO croc rolls ! MARX broken leg !
Bullshit non knock on peno. Bulshit scrum peno. Missed a blatent knock on in ruck next ruck ryan penalised. Beirne on the ball for a turnover ref allows it to continue then penalise ireland.
Delighted marx's injury is not as bad as it could hsve been glad the crock roll is out of the game.
They DID mention it! Go back to somewhere from about 35mins ..Quinlan said it and Williams agreed that Ryan should have been carded for it and Quinlan said possibly the two of them
Schalk Burger was in awe that Ireland only trained once on Wednesday, yet transformed their intensity and performance.
Well done Ireland!
Well done Ireland - in case you didn’t know Matt Williams, Bok fans don’t like you - i am surprised you didn’t complain that Ireland won with 2 drop goals, i would have thought you would have manned that it was not ball in hand and against the spirit of the game - We respect Ireland and well done to them - they are a good team coz thankfully they don’t abide by your philosophy.😂
O.mahony on at the end, great job. wonder if the same happened with Sexton, that 1/4 might have gone different.
Great stuff lads.. mentality and bottle won out the day .
SA are incredible at getting up for a big game, remember thinking how incredible they were in that QF at the WC against france, but their performance dropped off massively the following week, barely limping past a poor England team which is what gave me for hope in game 2 of this series. Nothing between IE and SA at the moment, great stuff, such different styles
Argument over- Frawley should be given full backing as 10. He’s got X factor,
Geez he drags the chain with his answers
How do the other 2 stay awake
He must fall asleep in seconds!
Keeping o mahoney on the bench meant we were going to take off a world player of the year for a man who isnt much of a tackler or a carrier. In fairness he ups his game (to average) when its put up to him and he did make a half tackle and a carry. Just picking pom as captain blocked some serious backrows and we saw how dominant our pack was in the 1st ½ when they had 8 forwards going all in no passengers. A stupid yellow cost us the GS. Pull the plug get a new captain.
The game was won in the first halve bokke came back but ireland just found something in their locker well done .Bokke can only learn from this .Nothing in this game .Bokke couldnt closed it out in that last 5 min with a rookie 15 .Thats rugby well done ireland .
27:40 He had a few big moments, but kicked one out in the full. Not ready to take over from Crowley who boots the ball away aimlessly 10 times a game…
The Boks really did not create anything in 2 tests part from their first try on the first test. They were gifted 2 tries by Lowe and never looked like scoring yesterday.
Sheesh Alan, not every answer has to be a monologue of herculean proportions. Sucks the life out of the Podcast.
Congrats Ireland. You deserved this win. You were hungrier than the Boks.
The Bokke were lethargic and executed poorly. Kicking out of hand and applying pressure were poor, they didn’t protect the catcher well and lost confidence in their lineouts and mauling. Poor general positioning lead to Murray’s try. The Irish cleverly targeted Malherbe in open play and Boks were too slow to close the gap on Malherbe’s inside when Murray scored. Pollard played with a shoulder injury for 30 min but couldn’t go off due to the 6:2 split. Foreign based players widens South Africa’s player pool but many of those players aren’t fully fit when they return for test duty to SA. Snyman, Kolisi, Pollard (and Nyakane) are examples while Faf and Kwagga weren’t as sharp as usual.
Too soft on Leinster. Insisting on playing Ross Byrne game after game is a joke. Nothing against RB personally but he's hit his ceiling and it's not very high. Delighted Farrell's selections have made Cullen look foolish.
Indeed but Farrell always seems to get more out of the same players.
@@johnmc3862 True but Frawley plays well for Leinster also, he's just brought on for a few minutes as a 15 or covering 10. Every time he replaces Ross Byrne at 10, Leinster steps up a gear.
Cmon they were calling for farrells head after his first 6n... then he started 13/14 Leinster players and he was a coaching genius.
I got to the point in the 2nd half where I could not listen to the commentators they were doing my head in much more enjoyable with the commentary turned off, Alan Quinlan is the most negative person always when it comes to Ireland can’t listen to him live.
Du Toit acting like a footballer, crying like a baby to the ref at the end, trying to get the DG overturned even though Kolbe took a blatant dive. Kolbe was on the floor with his hands in the air claiming he'd been obstructed. Pathetic stuff from both of them.🤡🤡
It was Kurt lee 😅😅 and Pieter asked the irishman not to interfere ,He was the Captian and the other bloke what was he just a player 🤔 🙄
@@josephconradie5935 It was Kolbe, not Kurt Lee. If you're going to give your opinion, at least know what you're talking about.
Pieter was like a petulant little child calling for obstruction when it was a blatant dive. Pathetic stuff from him and KOLBE.
@PB22559 it's a draw mate deal with it , half is better then a quarter isn't it
@@josephconradie5935 You're full of it mate. You didn't even know which of your cowardly players took the dive lol
@PB22559 lol 😆 😂 maybe I did maybe I didn't and it's still a draw it's not like you are no 10 in the world, the result is expected ,there is no upset or Ireland didnt achieve anything 😉 and it's neither historic
27:40 the mistake was more due to being cold and coming off the bench..
My God Quinlan...Its a bore fest listening to him.
39:07 Amazed at how deferential Alan Quinlan is about Irelands win. “Heroic performance, could have snuck it. A bit of luck! Here’s what I’ll say. ua-cam.com/video/3IYZpHWATrE/v-deo.htmlsi=dHgLyzghnJW6WW_L
Time to leave the rugby championship and join the 6 nations . They chucked us out of super rugby
Think rassie has to make a call on Pollard, with another hia thats two in 5 weeks, libbok at flyhalf as helps our attacking play and sasha at fullback.
😂😂😂😂😂😂 yes 8 out of 8 penalties... if Libbok were playing he would kick 4 at best. Pollard is just fine. Two times world champ is not to shaby. Manie is a good player but up until now he blows hot and cold too too often
What are you smoking !!!!
You analyze just as k@k as matt Williams
I see some irish fans gloating about the stats against the Springboks saying "we beat the boks 4 out of the last 5, WOW". That is a very true stat that they love to cherry pick but here are some more stats that they dont like to cherry pick. The last 20 matches between the SA vs ire, SA won 11 out 20, Ireland have never won a series home or away against SA, SA has more victories against irleland home and away and lastly it took ireland 22 years to win against SA home or away. So i really dont see this as a "rivalry" when you look at those stats. recent victories have been narrowly scrapped by ireland and to celebrate each of those victories as if you won a trophy....it clearly shows which team is number 3 in the world.
Facts are correct but I have seen very little gloating from Irish fans myself. They are happy with their win but what's wrong with that. Its all been very respectful on the whole.
@@brianmacartan5371 Yes theres nothing wrong with being happy with the win but i thought ireland won the series the way they all were celebrating...it was just strange for me but yeah those stats that are mentioned are hard and truthful for both teams
Ireland are really only a world class team since Schmidt took over in 2013 nearly beating them 1st time. Irl are nothing to the history and what SA have achieved in the game but have been on upward trajectory since Schmidt and more so with Farrell.
Honesty i dont care for stats like these. I dont care for no1 in the world I dont care about a game in 1932.. its nice but it doesent matter at kick off.
Winning a wc matters
Winning a 6N matters
Winning a championship matters or even a series but what matters most at kickoff is winning the game in hand.
@@RugbyFactsthe more a team celebrates after a win the more they are complementing the losing side. Always remember that.
Congrats to Ireland... stuck in there and won it at the end. SA did not play well at times. That is sport! But Ireland still cannot make it to a semi and SA have 4 world cups in the bag :) SA coming back stronger the next few games. Cannot wait for SA vs NZ... going to epic.
Yeah but nobody anywhere is trying to say that Ireland have a more successful rugby history than SA. Irish rugby only really ignited one day in the six nations against Scotland at Lansdowne Road in the year 2000. It’s been a long road from there with various milestones along the way. WC success will come. We just have to keep banging on that door and it will eventually open.
This wasnt the world cup. We cant replay that competition but we took the Raeburn shield (the linear world cup, check it out) off you at the weekend 🎉🎉😊
World cup draw went against Ireland, What the hell?
They were on a much tougher side than England. Had to play SA in the group then the AB’s. Had they been the other side they surely would have got to the semi final.
Went against all 4 top teams and Scotland. SA and NZ made it by the skin of their teeth but games coukd have easily gone another was
You see Tim we are not superhuman no need to change the scrum and subs you get petrified to quic.🙃
Talking rubbish Alan Quinlan, Frawley is world class and will probably wear a Lions 10 at some point next year. Ross Byrne is a mid level URC 10. Cían Healy has a better chance of featuring at 10 for Ireland next season than Ross Byrne does
Christ. I can't listen to Quinlan anymore. He's only interested in his paycheck. He knows he can't be too favourable to his country of birth, if he still wants gigs with Sky and others. Jackman is heading the same way. These aren't opinions. They're just neutral waffle.
Quinlan was never that insightful in fairness.
Just rehashing the words passion intensity agression and "when I played"..... no real insight
Williams is going on like they won the World Cup 😂
Ross Byrne can move on from Leinster. He is not good enough. He doesn't break and hasn't got pace. You can't play at the highest level without those things. It's as simple as that. Frawley needs game time at 10 for Leinster. Crowley might well be class but he was poor with the boot over these two games...
Its a drwm series. RELAX..
Weren't saying that last week 😮
Technically the 2nd test was the more important of the two. They both had a week to prepare, adjust and improve. Ireland were the better team. The Bokkes and Rassie BADLY wanted to win this series 2-0 but they weren't good enough to beat Ireland in their own back yard.
You had home advantage and Ireland had a load of injuries but you still couldn't win the series.😂😂
@@PB22559what a waster, go away fool
Yeah that's why you came on here, to relax 😂😂😂
Although the lucky drop goal in the 80th minute secured a one-point victory, it wasn’t a significant defeat for the team. The Irish managed one impressive try, but the rest of the game felt like a relentless battle. It certainly wasn’t a pretty match to watch. Perhaps a third test is needed to settle the debate on who is truly a better team.
Whats lucky about a drop goal? Firstly a team has to get in position and secondly the kick needs to be accurate. The only lucky thing was that the ref didnt dissallow it for that cheating dive
First drop was a punt kick, no points!!!!!
Eh, no.
It 100% wasn’t . Players are practicing those kicks since they were kids. The better ones have it so slick it’s hard to see. It would be much more difficult to a punt kick as it’s not the rhythm or the way they practice.
Any idea how hard it is to punt from that low... actually, I could have stopped at "any idea?"
Matt Williams is a Good analysis, thou we love to hate him as South Africans.
But his bais to his team, especially when he Complains about the Bomb Squad.
Anyways I think It would be the most stupid thing if world ruby would listen to him on that.
Imagen in soccer you control who each team put on the Beach, even in ruby it be stupid.❤ 24:20
Matt, please stop saying 'we' when referring to Ireland. You're an Aussie and would support Aus over Ire 10 times out of 10.
He is a naturalized Irish citizen. Leave it out
@@rightkick_cemetery He is an Aussie and would support Aus over Ireland. That's all that matters. If you don't believe that, you're lying to yourself.
@@PB22559to be fair he is speaking as an Irish supporter and presenter/commentator here. Dont be upset my friend. We don’t shout at CJ Stander when he still proclaims himself an Irish supporter.
@@BoomsRiddico4868 CJ Stander played for Ireland. There's a big difference. If i move to Aus and become a rugby pundit, that doesn't make me Australian or an Aus fan.
These posts however do make you out to be very, very very small minded. It just doesn't need to be said and is nit relevant. Matt Williams has more right to talk about Irish Rugby as we than you do. As he has actually significantly contributed to the building blocks of the success we are seeing now. If only he'd more more use of his time making dim witted and spiteful comments on UA-cam instead of bring useful in the real world.....
