The 'low ornament' v 'high ornament' way to think about clothes and furniture just changed my entire brain. you've put one of my strongest preferences (low ornament) into such clear terms. loved this video!
I loved this video so much, but perhaps you could try to do another one which includes other skintones. As you said, they play such a roll on the image, and it would be refreshing to see how other skin tones could take part in the outfit.
haha yeap, the message I got from this video was to get a tan hahaha I look like strawberries & cream, pretty active in my daily life but not much tan.. very pink skin tone. I have been trying to incorporate warm tones in my wardrobe(: sometimes contrast is good done well... On reflection actually about this vid - If i think about it after my partner moved in - our home is a good blend of warm/cool tones as he is actually warm/hazel - how cute, maybe I should just play some of his clothes
Absolutely loved this concept. I have recently come to see the similarities between both my interior design style and my style. I hope you make another video like this.
this was a creative video idea! the rooms/outfits at 3:30, 7:00, and 15:20 stood out to me. Especially the last pairing. The combination of the sun, wood, and plants tie the room together naturally. And the dress on Ashley Olsen has a fun, silhouetted pattern.
such a helpful video, the first pic / fit was legit perfection and something I would totally wear. was also looking at sheets with the blue stripes just yesterday
I’ve been thinking about hair and skin color so much! I have dark brown hair and I keep saving inspo of outfits on very blonde people, so when I try to recreate the looks I find that the colors don’t come out as I was envisioning them because the color blocking is off. Skin and hair definitely play such a big role in an outfit
Love this video. It's so creative and so interesting. Just found your channel and didn't realize I had already watched and enjoyed a bunch of your videos!
I loved this sm! so creative!! and loved all your examples. You cover a lot here, but would love to hear more about specifically how to find one's interior design style using one's wardrobe and vice versa. you could talk about materiality, colour scheme, ornament, etc
This is such a helpful video! I love both fashion and interior design, but I have trouble articulating what I like. I watched this video a few times and wrote down the phrases that capture what I like. So helpful! I echo the other comment about looking for a viedo incorporating complexion and hair color into an outfit. Even knowing that Im an "autumn" has not been much help when it comes to shopping or making my clothes
@@RiverHayes604 yess I’ve been brainstorming this!! I wanna figure out how to do one that doesn’t revolve around “color seasons” but still focuses on natural colouring. And I’m so glad you found this helpful!! 🫶🏽
General comment about your channel - I love your fresh, unique take on fashion and interior design! You do a deep dive critical analysis on both, rooted in nuance...like a video essay.
Dear Phoebe, I discovered your channel today and I am enthusiastic ;-) I like your calm manner, your creativity as well as your very well taste and explanations - very inspiring - many thanks!
I'ld love the same exercise, but with masculine fashion too ❤ I think feminine fashion is considered more flexible, and it could be harder to someone imagine those rooms as outfits for males.
