Would this work with an air fryer?
I really love your videos❤️❤️ can't wait to see more 😆
Ok, this sandwich is SO GOOD. I made it with less thick mushrooms but omg it was so good!. The mushroom tasted like chicken, the texture was a bit of but it was SO SIMILAR. I did carrots with no cabbage and it was amazing 10/10 would make again.
I've never seen that mushroom before. I'm guessing there's nothing close to that that I can substitute it with??
I’ve heard that tofu or cauliflower can be a good substitute
I think they’re called oyster mushrooms but chanterelle mushrooms would work too. Or just any cauliflower
The mushroom they were using - it’s call “Hen of the Wood” or Grifola frondosa or maitake mushroom. You can generally find it at Whole Foods, Chaimberlain’s, or any Asian food store (personally cheaper) like H-Mart
I haven't had a chicken sandwich since even before I became a vegetarian, because I was never a big fan of them (I wasn't a big fan of chicken for quite a while before I decided to cut it out of my life), but I'm gonna try this recipe and see if I suddenly become a vegan chicken sandwich fan. It looks really really good. I trust Joyce's praise of it.
Does the homemade one taste or have the texture of mushrooms? I'm intrigued and would like to try it, but I am not a fan of mushrooms.
Find a recipe with cauliflower instead. Cauliflower baked/friend enough with the right season can be spookily like chicken.
In my country it's called forest chicken because it tastes like it so, even tho I've never personally had it I suppose the taste is chickeny?
