REMASTERED IN HD! Music video by No Doubt performing Hey Baby. (C) 2001 Interscope Geffen (A&M) Records A Division of UMG Recordings Inc. #NoDoubt #Remastered
I miss No Doubt alot. I'm a black chick from the projects in Boston and I remember loving No Doubt from the start. I think telling friends my favorite song was Dont Speak at the time gave me my first glimpse into how people judge and label. Apparently I wasn't normal for liking this music because Gwen didn't look like me. I simultaneously felt how ok it was to be different though. Realized I couldn't be friends with people who ignored artistic beauty because of the color of the person creating it. That was 95 when I was 9 years old. Listening to that song feels the same now at 32. Imagine what I would have missed if I didn't dare to be different. I hope artists really know how appreciated they are. 💛
I feel ya on that. I'm a black female and til this day, I get flak for liking what is considered "white music" I simply like what speaks to me, no matter the genre. Love No Doubt from the start
Lorie Jackson I truly understand. I attended a mostly black school so I loved rap, soul and pop. All types plus TLC, Envougue not sure of spelling but yeah I love it all. Once I got older, my country friends just didn't understand. Don't get me wrong, I love all types of music but I grew up on LL Cool J, Bobby Brown's group even though I can't remember the name of it, Whitney and of course Michael Jackson. Now at 46, when I hear those songs, I always think of Jeromy rapping in the Halls or Elton break Dancing in class complete with his red leather jacket and glove. I truly miss those days. Music today just isn't the same...
almost same thing happened to me. except im Indian and was living in a small city in south India at that time.now im 32 too. and i now look back at my young self and want to tell that lil girl that "people are still the same(even when you grow up) and are judgemental af.so dont ever try to change yourself".they still give weird looks if you dont conform to their standards and notions about life.and growing up with different perspective about the world , only gives you the nametag of "weirdo/wannabe".but that wont matter as long as you stay true to yourself.
You couldn't escape this video even if you tried in 2001, it was played over-and-over-and-over again on MTV and Vh1. Back when No Doubt were high in demand in wake of their then-pending studio project "Rock Steady" (2001). Promo for them was well executed, so many catchy hits off the CD.

Literally the Black Eyed Peas signed on Fergie to mimic the success of Rock Steady and Gwen’s style. And then Nelly Furtado and Fergie both put out solo albums mimicking the successful formula to Gwen’s LAMB
Knew em when!!!! From Buena Park CA USA. Am just simply so very much proud of the band!!!! OC CA USA pride and joy!!!!!! Congratulations to em all!!!! Hey Gwen Stefani cool for your husband Blake Shelton,. Star o course Hollywood Walk of Fame. Yes!!!
I remember seeing this CD at the store and just not being able to stop reading it, “No Doubt Rock Steady No Doubt Rock Steady No Doubt Rock Steady No Doubt Rock Steady....” I just felt compelled to read the entire thing and I wouldn’t let my dad pull me away and I was terrified he was going to make me lose my place. So No Doubt helped my family realize I have obsessive compulsive tendencies, thanks guys
@Ak Am So did the black eyes peas though. I mean yes they are very different but they did have similiar interactions in their music with how they approached things, especially considering fergie's solo career, etc.
I heard Gwen say on The Voice that the Black Eyed Peas used to tour with No Doubt and then when Gwen went solo, The Black Eyed Peas were bigger at the time, and she toured with them.
Where do you think the Black eyed peas got the idea to add Fergie to their lineup. I saw No Doubt in concert back in 97 and the Black eyed peas opened for them, before Fergie.
Gwen Stefani is still beautiful, she didn't aged at all. Maybe just a bit, but not significant. She is like what now..? around her 40's? Damn. Song is catchy, came out when i was 10 years old. Still good! :)
She is not old..look at JLO and many 40 years olds today..I don't know many 20 year olds that look that good..even the 40 year old guys are looking good..age is nothing but a thing.
I'm more of an 80s/90s pop music fan . By the late 90s I had largely tuned out most contemporary music. But No Doubts songs hold up very well now in 2024. This is one of their best. It reminds me of someone also. Just saw them play at Coachella on the live stream and Gwen the guys really brought the energy .
Musical differences? She probably wanted to explore different types of music, that the rest of the band didn't want to invest in, hence going solo. It worked great for her so, why not?
moleahjobe Yes, because she's not allowed to explore her own personal musical investments. That is such a selfish attitude towards it. Not to mention that they can reunite whenever they want (which they did, and released a single, kinda wish there was more).
A. Read my comments properly first, i said she should not have gone solo, i didn't say she shouldn't have left the band. B. they regrouped all ready and brought out a shit album in 2012.
***** Oh, Ok. However they want to frame it, she was responsible for No Doubt not doing anything for a long time. The future of the group hinged on her decision of 'if or when' she would return to the group. Not exactly the actions of someone who is concerned about the future of No Doubt. It messes with the chemistry of the group and loyalty of the fans.
The kids that grew up in the 90's and early 2000's lived the best era

Adulthood is learning to appreciate all the good music I was "too metal" for as a teenager
Do you regret it?
Thanks for this lol!!!
I was thinking this exact thing. I hated this music when I was young and was so mad when No doubt went to pop music. Now it's alright.
Too real
Metal sucks
Ever since i got into No Doubt I would love to hang out with Adrian
Esperando el Coachella 2024. Reeviviremos esos tiempos
I'm down a no doubt rabbit hole after watching Gwen's new "let me reintroduce myself" video

Abril 2024 Quien!!🎉
Watching this at 29 now and they were just having the time of their lives lol such pure love and energy between them even to this day!
Hard to believe Gwen is in her late 40's. She still looks young.
she is so rich she probably bought herself more youth
She isn't the only one. Whatever sorcery (or surgery) was involved, it worked on all the band members. No Doubt must have discovered the fountain of youth, lol.
She's vegan.
That's because she's obviously a robot.
It's true!
90s babies that were super fans of Gwen before The Voice & Blake Shelton, thumbs up!
I’m 2004 a baby but I literally grew up listening to Gwen’s solo albums
Up up up 🔥 2024
I was 21 years old back in 2001.. when this came out! I am 42 years old now 21 years later in 2022!! Still loving this song🥰🥰🥰
Me too 🙂
Bro I was born in 2001 lmfaoooo
@@sunmoon3147 you missed out dude
I was 18 and graduated HS that year. Oh what a time to be alive! We took so many things, such as music like this, for granted.
@@fortunateson2 yep! I am 43 years old 😊
yoooooow jamaica's front runnning dancehall dj Bounty Killer made the perfect combination for that track at the time.the song is a classic kabooom
I think Gwen must've been jamaican in a past Life, or probably has distant jamaican roots somewhere in her family. And her Music is awesome.
Lol right🎉🎉🎉
+Travis brown i'm sorry she has not, she is from: British/Norwegian/German/Italian decent... As long back as to medieval ages and probably further... Basically she is Euro-Saxon/Scandinavian/Celtic :D
+Duc De Puce -The Rat I knew that.
The band in its entirety was influenced by island music. I'm not sure of the specifics but if you look them up you'll see what I mean.
@@LaLunitaLuna So they can make better Island music than actual Island music ?
Her Style Is Fire >>>
One of my first, if not my first, ever CD singles was "Hey Baby" by No Doubt. I always thought Gwen Stafani was kickass, and nothing's changed.
I bought an Extended play CD for their release of "It's My Life" 20 years ago. There are only about 5 songs on it, but it was worth it.
She still looks exactly the same as well!
I remember at age 7 I had the biggest crush on Gwen Stefani, she's so hot.
i was a might bit older and yes i still love her what a beauty !!
Lol.
she's 46 years old she's old enough to be my moms sister
I used to have a crush with the drummer... hahahaha
Bluewolf Tv she's still hot even at age 46.
Gwen just sips on her chamomile ☕️🐸
Jane Luna all these years I thought she sang "I'm just sipping on a can of beer" Your comment made me realise what the actual lyrics are.
😂🤣
I thought “camel milk”
Amaliz Bhali wow
@@trendy_nails You're even dumber. Open your ears you cabbage
Gwen and Rodney Price. 🔥
I was 9 years old when this song came out 😭😭 gwen stefani was my idol and I loved no doubt. I remember I bought houndstooth pants that looked just like her jacket in this video and I felt so kool lol
The definition of COOL
+modarXmodar: In "The New Rolling Stone Album Guide" (2004), they called Parliament's "Flash Light" "one of the 20th Century's greatest songs about absolutely nothing." I'd nominate this song for the 21st Century's list.
modarXmodar I know that's right because this was my favorite song from No Doubt in 2001 and I still love it. *sighs* such insanely fond memories.
modarXmodar ok
Circa 2002 lol
modarXmodar lol I read it cold
I love actual music, but honestly I miss those times when No Doubt, Black Eyed Peas, Nelly Furtado ruled the charts
It was the absolute best wasn’t it?
Same 😩😔
Lol @ actual music then says black eyed peas 🙄🙄
Literally the Black Eyed Peas signed on Fergie to mimic the success of Rock Steady and Gwen’s style. And then Nelly Furtado and Fergie both put out solo albums mimicking the successful formula to Gwen’s LAMB
No Doubt isn't actual music?!? wtf Rock Steady is a great album
Bounty killer 💯☝️🔥
Knew em when!!!! From Buena Park CA USA. Am just simply so very much proud of the band!!!! OC CA USA pride and joy!!!!!! Congratulations to em all!!!! Hey Gwen Stefani cool for your husband Blake Shelton,. Star o course Hollywood Walk of Fame. Yes!!!
no doubt, its bounty killer, killing it with his master lyricism as usual.
Still to this day Gwen is one of the most banging chicks from the 90's!
UA-cam is the closest thing we have to a time machine. Great memories of better, happier times then! Truly a beautiful masterpiece forever.. ♾✨
before The Black Eyed Peas we had No Doubt... :)
FERGIE FERG LEMME LOVE U LONG TIME
@Ak Am So did the black eyes peas though. I mean yes they are very different but they did have similiar interactions in their music with how they approached things, especially considering fergie's solo career, etc.
Black eyed Peas been around since 1994 or 1995, they just didn’t have fergie.
Still good! :)
45 this October and still smokin' hot
45???! What!?? She is smoking hot
She's 45 today.
She is not old..look at JLO and many 40 years olds today..I don't know many 20 year olds that look that good..even the 40 year old guys are looking good..age is nothing but a thing.
i was 8
Yeah I know what it's like I'm an ages baby the truest all the songs back then are dope and still is
I'm more of an 80s/90s pop music fan . By the late 90s I had largely tuned out most contemporary music.
But No Doubts songs hold up very well now in 2024. This is one of their best. It reminds me of someone also.
Just saw them play at Coachella on the live stream and Gwen the guys really brought the energy .
She still looks the same. Beautiful.

She should've never left No Doubt. Why mess with something that works so good? Happens all the time with good bands. Too bad.
Musical differences? She probably wanted to explore different types of music, that the rest of the band didn't want to invest in, hence going solo. It worked great for her so, why not?
xXMustPlayGamesXx why not? because just maybe, had gwen not decided to go solo we would have a lot more classics like this from no doubt.
moleahjobe Yes, because she's not allowed to explore her own personal musical investments.
Love Gwen and No Doubt.
1990-2009 was the last great era of cheesy pop hits.
damn its been long time since this came out
yeas she is
lol ahhhhhhh i see what you did here
Rafael Torres auto answer: i see what you dd there
