I don't think we realised it at the time, but this song is actually a technical masterpiece, full of interesting samples and beats, its a bit more than just any old pop song, the production is top notch.
The early 00’s were the top era for creative superstar producers. I would argue - more than today, since today everything sounds the same (hip hop or trap derived). This was done by a Swedish production team, but it was the era of Timbaland, The Neptunes… Also the melody in this is crazy inventive!
Just discovered recently that Galantis had a hand in the production.
