- We recently paid a visit to the stunning Meinl Factory and premises in the lovely town of Gutenstetten, Germany. However, the real reason we were there was to hand pick a brand new selection of Meinl Cymbals for our Exchequer Street store. Massive thank you to Bernie, Udo, Norbert and all the staff for inviting us into their home and looking after us so well. It really is a magnificent place. Why does Meinl never show their factory or how the cymbals are made? Are they ashamed? All these videos show is people picking out premade cymbals in the distribution area. Where are the CRAFTSMEN and WOMEN that make these instruments?

I would like to have new drum but i cant afford it...Ive learned my drumming everytime i went to church for practice...honestly I really like Meinl. it sounds good.. I wish I have one for my birthday...I dont care if second hand as long as i have my own..

Where is the factory? They sent you to the distribution center! I didn't see them make any cymbals...what a waste!
They are not making cymbals they take Diril cymbals and put Meinl stamps
So they are basically made in Turkey? That's all I neded to know.

Where is the factory? Where are the guys or gals that make the cymbals? Where is the production? All I saw was a warehouse....not a factory.
There are only two brands of cymbals that I will play, either Meinl or Paiste. I was a Zildjian snob for years but they got boring. Forget Sabian, another cymbal that sounds the same. Only Meinl and Paiste continue to innovate with sounds not heard before.

Yeah no, only the low end cymbals are made completely by machines.
Most of the cymbals are made in Turkey, not Germany. The German factory is for labeling and distribution.

There was plenty of handcrafted, personal touches throughout the factory but we were only allowed to show so much.
A factory tour? Or a trying out cymbals and an explanation of the layout of a warehouse tour?? Complete waste of 10 minutes. Who cares what cymbals you chose and why, I thought this was a tour of the meinl factory showing how they made their cymbals...
Very boring and misleading video... It's just a guy telling us what a great time he had at the factory... blows
