✅How to BLEND COLORS WITH A MAG NEEDLE 💥 FOR BEGINNERS 💥

  • In Todays Tattoo tutorial we will be going over How to blend colors with a mag needle for beginners. We will be using the CNC Q2 machine with a 23 curved bugpin mag with my machine running at 7.5 volts. I will start with red and pack the color then push that color down lightly towards the next color. I will then repeat the process using orange and finish up with yellow. This is a quick, basic color blend, you can spend more time and make a really smooth blend or whatever you desire. Color is not my specialty but I know a lot of you had questions about this so I wanted to do my best to help those of you looking to get into color work.
    Hope you all enjoyed the video and if you did give it up a thumbs up and consider subscribing!!

      @@ArtSomething No Dave seriously thank you so much for giving us this content. I'm learning how to tattoo and I have learned a lot watching your videos. Recently I've been having some issues dealing with the voltage because I can't find the right balance between my hand speed and my voltage (I'm cutting the fake skin I'm practicing on) I would really appreciate if you can give some tips on that. As I said mad respect on you Dave thank you so much for all this information

    Great for basics, one suggestion i have is to change the direction and angle of the pass with each color. Over time the blend will appear smoother than passing at the same angle

    My personal problem is when i make shading and color packing the skin is become red and after healing process i see the real results .How about you Dave ?

    • @ArtSomething
      @ArtSomething  4 роки тому +1

      Yes the skin will become red and I think thats why its best to try to get it packed with a pass or two because if it gets to red you will have a problem seeing the saturation. However once you have done enough color tattoos and seen them healed you will start to really know when the color is saturated properly and when its not. I hope some of this makes sense.

    If you're wanting a more gradual color blending you can also mix inks and have a reddish orange and a yellowish orange in between. Hell, I've used 2-3 tones in between. Similar to grey wash, the more gradual you want it, the more shades you'll want to use. Mixing color is a whole other thing though. and to everyone who thinks hes crazy tattooing his own leg, I've been doing sessions on my leg ranging from 10-15 min to a couple hours for the past 18 years. It's very important to know how it's gonna feel on yourself before someone else. I never use a new machine on a client before testing on myself. Tattoo artists legs are the original practice skin. ;)

    Dude i tatted my own leg the other day. I was like fuck it! dave takes it for the team... so can i. So i decided to do the same! Trying to reach a life goal of being a tattooist. And your videos are a stepping stone to that goal. Much respect!!! Keep the videos coming!... P.S the way you say the product ..Ink Eeze. Is that how its suppose to be said. I see the name and tend to say ...INK ( EASY).. Maybe im wrong. I dont know! Lol.

    When the two colours meet are you sort of whip shading or are you just doing faster circles also is it a lighter hand pressure to prevent damage when they meet ? Im new to colour mainly do black and grey so when I tried this where the two colours meet it seems choppy instead of a smooth transition any advice ? Maybe because it was on fake skin also which I know is harder than real skin.
