This channel has honestly taught me more than the artist who I paid for an apprenticeship with. Literally had to bug him 24/7 just to even have him explain to me what he was doing whenever I watched him tattoo. Thank you for these videos! -Also excuse my account name, I made this Gmail when I was a kid lmaooo!
started tattooing a few months ago, and for someone who is trying to self learn, your videos really help! always appreciate the clearness and the overall flow!
Do yourself and the tattoo community a favour, go look for an experienced artist that is willing to give you a proper apprenticeship learn properly from a professional and you will also earn respect from respected artists. This was a sacred community help keep it that way. Its great to see so many people wanting to be a part of the industry but do it properly you will thank yourself.
I've been waiting ages for a stippling video like this, thanks for the sacrificial offering of the leg. You literally put your blood, sweat and tears into this channel. I find that setting the depth and riding the tube during stippling helps a lot to control the depth of the needle during the rapid hand movements.
LOL no problem im happy to give up a little leg space. And your right you can bring the needles in a little bit and ride to tube as it can help keep a more consistant depth as well, again assuming the needle depth is set right. Thanks again man appreciate the support!! 🤘🤘
Can’t thank you enough mate, a year in and you helped this old dog learn new tricks 😭💯 god bless you and thank you beyond belief for these videos!!! 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾 If YOU progressed in your tattooing and wanna piss off the stuck up artists that forgot where they started, GIVE DAVE A LIKE!!!!!! 💯🔥💯🔥💯🔥💯🤙🏾🤙🏾🤙🏾
I really appreciate these videos that you make. I live in a small town in the mountains where there's no one to really apprentice under... The more I read online The More I got discouraged due to the gatekeeping surrounding tattooing, but then I found your videos! I ordered a machine and a whole bunch of stuff that you recommended along with a whole bunch of fake skin and the passion for learning to tattoo is back!!! So just kind of wanted to say thank you for being so open to teach people like me the basics so we can start learning about tattooing in a safer way. Really appreciated, and I look forward to all of your videos!
Thank you so much Shelby as I know how hard it can be to learn how to tattoo. And your right its not always easy to find an shop to take you in when you live far from a city. So Im happy to help through these videos and im glad you enjoy them. I wish you the best of luck as you continue down this awesome journey!! 🤘🤘
Legit the only tattoo channel I follow. Love how you say the "what, when, where, and how". To many other channels just tell you rather than explaining. You are awesome brother!
Your techniques, tips, and overall advice are great! I’m practicing on a fake hand and found your videos to be very helpful. Thank you for making this!!
THank you FON I appreciate the kind words. And I hope that through these vids we can all work to improve our tattooing skills together... Sorta.. Thanks again FON and keep Rocking!! 🤘🤘
Thank you for your service., I have not even bought my machine yet I just want to do it to as a hobby to occupy my mind & I am learning all this before I even start lol
Thats great to hear Erick im glad your enjoying the vids and that they are helping you get started in tattooing. Keep up the good work and Keep Rocking!! 🤘🤘
Great stuff and insightful as usual brother. Thanks for sharing the tricks of the trade. I hate when people learn from others and then hoard information so others don’t learn. I’ve had that happen many times when people ask me for tattoo advice, shading coloring etc, and then turn around and tell me, “Dude man, I can’t share that, my mentor told me to never share my techniques.” Flabargasting, but very real. What comes around goes around the-way-of-the-Universe! 🙏🏻
You can Stipple with almost any needle. Liners, Round shaders, and with Mags. its all about getting the needles to skip across the skin like a stone on water leaving little dots as it goes. And this can be done again with almost any needle configuration. Hope this helps and thanks for watching and supporting the channel! 🤘🙏🤘
Thanks Thacks I appreciate that man. I cant take credit for making that. A subscriber was nice enough to make it for me. And he did a great job!!! So thank you again Thack!!🤘🤘
@@ArtSomething well i tried hehe , no long throw tho 3mm - dont know if the needles didnt work to my liking `` chyenne d tip 5rl `` didnt matter if i went slow with the machine or fast it just didnt make any stipple effect at all in the skin . wiped it off and the ink would just not even go in
I’ve got stippling with a 3rl down! But when it’s comes to bigger liners like a 7rl I’m not as good as it. Do I just apply more pressure as the surface area is bigger?
Thanks Flou and I wish I had these vids too lol. And I guess thats why I make them now, in an effort to help those out who are trying to help themselves.
Not sure if there's a chance you'll see this but thank you for teaching me so much! I'm on my 8th tattoo, slowly trying more with shading and truly feel like I'm progressing. :) You are so helpful and a great teacher!
Tattoos on our own skin is the best😂, I did my thighs a dove lining and shading, 2 diamonds only lined, and a traditional rose to practice my color and my right thigh is a huge breast cancer ribbon outline and writing. what throw would be suggested for stippling , short or longer ?
A longer throw makes stippling a bit easier so I would definitely prefer a longer throw over a show or a throw for stippling.

No problem Amelia Im glad you enjoyed the video. And thank you for the continued support! 🤘🙏🤘
Would this work with bigger liners? Or is 3RL the ideal size?
You can do it with larger needle grouping just practice on some fake skin until you find the right hand speed and voltage.
Do you always use a smaller liner like 3 or 5 or can you still stipple with 9 or rs, I can shade just haven’t got stippling down yet, but this video helped a lot, also what machine you running
Loooks great good stipple shading I’m a low volt fast hand speed stipple shader but I’ll have to give it a go at a higher volt thank you for what you are doing for the learning artist out there live the dream don’t ever give up god bless
Does this technique work for shorter stroke or will it chew up the skin? I use the cnc q3 and it’s stroke is fixed at 3.5
Its definenetly a little easier with a longer stroke. But no you can still stipple shade with a stroke of 3.5
Could you do a video on your preference on aftercare
