I have a Note 8 exactly with the very same problem, but I don't have the equipment you have to fix it, so I will better look for a complete good board. Maybe just heating it to melt the solder and letting cool down can help. I recommend you to use kapton tape to cover all components around the chips, so they won't desolder.
Great informative video . I can tell your knowledgeable with the Note 8 . I have an AT&T Note 8 . It's very hard to get a connection with the charge cord to the charge port on the phone but when there is a connection, I try to lay the phone flat , so it will charge and as soon as the phone tilts , the charge loses contact. However the phone will charge upright . Do you have any ideas what the issue may be ? I've tried googling information , on why the phone wont charge flat but will charge in an upright position and cant find anything ? Do you think the charge port could be bad ? Do you think the phone will charge using a wireless charger ? Any information is greatly appreciated. Thank you.
Thanks bro, I have the cellphone with the same issue I just changed 5720ic now the phone powers up but still not charging, when I received the phone was dead, I have also changed tha max 98506 ic, any idea what could b the problem, Thanks
these phones are pretty challenging to solve, The only other thing I would try is check the voltages on main rail and possibly change the max77838 chip.
There should be a dot in one corner of the IC AND another on the board. If it has two gold marks on opposing corners you’ll need another board for reference
@@jonathantejada1155 I just switched logic boards in my Note 8 because the chip was bad and wouldn't charge anymore. I had already replaced USB board but there was no change. Everything except for the fingerprint sensor works. That must be mated to old logic board. Oh well.
