Funny what bums people out. Have owned every Note from the Note 2.... this battery rocks! I have used my phone all day ..it's now 6 pm and my battery is at 73%. So never mind the specs...phone is efficient in use of power. Finger print scanner.... usually the phone is laying in my hand...I've registered first finger on both hands and it's so easy to unlock...plus i don't think you mentioned 'smart lock' so when its in my home or a safe place it doesn't require unlocking. Another cool feature. Note 8 best phone ever. Thanks for your videos. :)

In the interests of honesty rather than entertainment, the 10nm technology on the Note 8 uses much less power. In actual fact, the battery life on the Note 8 is longer than the Note7 despite the smaller battery.
Debating this as the price is now so low, just curious as to when purchasing a brand new phone along time after it came out, does the latest update bring it all up to scratch ?
I was in the same boat- I had a Note 3 for 5 years until the screen broke. Needed a phone asap, so i picked up a cheap, $60 Samsung J3. After doing enough research and stuff, i decided on a certified refurbished Note 8 for $400 from Amazon. Phones nowadays are so advanced, you don't the newest flagship. The 3 that I used before was starting to slow down and become obsolete, but I was still able to do 90% of whatever I needed it to. Therefore, the 8 that I just bought should last at least a few years and do whatever I need. ~$400 every 4+ years doesn't seem too bad.
Love this video, I've not seen one that praises Samsung for what they have achieved with the note 8. In the UK we never got the note 5 and after that the note 7 was recalled I was gutted. I'm a massive note fan and think this phone is nearly perfect. People pick at things too much.
I'm 95% sure that you're wrong about the gear VR not working with the note. Samsung never mentioned coming out with a new version and that's a big function for them to miss out on.
Love my note 8, would be great if they make the note able to fold eventually, like the new Razor. The pen can be expandable when you slide it out and you'll have to make it small when you place it back in the phone. That would be a big seller!
I know this video was made prior to the release of the phone but I have it and it is really good so far and I have over 200 apps installed, use the camera often and the battery life wrecks what I was getting on my Nexus 6P. The Note 8 runs so smooth too btw. I am using Nova launcher and it is so fast. What I suggest is activating developer options and adjusting the animations to .5X oppose to the 1X it is set at by default. Makes a tremendous difference.

Apple removed the headphone jack to compensate for the space of a larger Taptic Engine to give consumers that realistic home button feel. Furthermore, iPhone and Galaxy devices have different internal designs. You can't really compare both devices.

I confirm for the battery note 8 is last less thant the A5 2017 but not only due to the small battery but also due to the power inside But i totally disagree about the placement of the fingerprint scanner : since this phone is a two hands using device and even with only one hand i did not experience problems with unlock it with fingerprint scanner
Here are my 10 things. 1. No sd836 that is due out in early October and the Pixel 2 will have. 2. No support for 600/700 MHz, will be a big deal for many countries in the future. 3. No fast charging, compared to say Dash charging. 4. No storage over 64gb which is terrible in 2017. And no I don’t want slower SD storage. 5. All the security options to unlock suck. Poor fingerprint placement, no 3d face recognition and iris scanner that is hit and miss. 6. The blurry photos only works when the object is 1.5m in front of you. 7. Speaker is terrible for a £1000 phone with average DAC and no stereo speakers. 8. All glass chassis which will prove fragile even with small drops. 9. Before you load any of your apps 4gb RAM is already used by Crap Wizz 10. No Android O even though it will be a month old by then. 11. Price is stupid. 12. And the price is stupid.

Loved the Note 7 perfect size, and I like the sharper edges, much easier to hold and looks nicer in my opinion. BIG issues with Note 8 for me is the size, too damn long AND the finger print scanner is awkward as hell for a lefty.

Absolutely no issues with my note 8 battery life. And yes the fingerprint scanner does suck. But with practice it gets better. And besides with the iris scanner and with the face recognition software, you got options.

I've seen a couple of videos where they put the battery to test. It last much longer than the S8+. Mad thing
