iPhone 7 Plus no ear speaker no Mics Solved
Very nice repair and watch, extremely educational, too! One day, I'll have the temerity and tools to pull a repair of this level. However, today is not that day and I will be replacing this TV 😭 The repairmen are trying to charge me the cost of a perfectly new one. I thought I was gonna be cute and pull some savings but I understand their quotes now. 🤣
Rodney, your video helped me save my blinds! Then I found ANOTHER incredible tip you should know about: When installing (or repairing) these blinds, it is possible to let them open all the way to the end of the string and continue winding around the spindle the OPPOSITE WAY!!! if this happens, the sensor switch never feels slack at the bottom (window sill) and it thinks it is still OPENING, when it has completely closed. In this state, it’s like the brain thinks it is opening when it is really closing. It took me a lot of troubleshooting to figure this out, but as soon as I held it in the air and let the blinds open all the way and continue closing again, I had finally reversed it back to normal! OMG this is crazy, but I swear nothing was working as expected, and the fact that it was wound oppositely makes so much sense now. The sensor was reacting in the opposite manner! FIXED.
So my blind has worked off and on poorly for over a year It easily goes down But will not go up So the blind will close and go up a tiny bit then stop and fully go down
What do you think is wrong with
Maybe that can be the problem but most times is also the motor
Hey, Rodney how do contact you?
Thanks for this video. I just finished carefully following every step and I’m happy to report this was a 100% success! No more white spots. Total investment for new LED backlight strips, Kapton heat resistant tape and two cheap (like in your video) suction cups: UNDER $50!
What type of tape is used when installing the new light strips?
Hi Joey, we used Kapton tape. heat resistant with almost no residue. Its probably ok to use almost any tape. sctoch tape or masking tape should be a good substitute.
Thanks. I called too and one of you told me about the Kapton tape. I bought some immediately.
do you still do this type of repair work? i have a note 8 no boot condition
Why do they wire from the negative pins of the CPU to the negative of the capacitor?
I love this guy's personality. Old Rodney knows what he is doing!
Do you sell these blinds?
What a completely useless video. English language instructions are the first pages of the manual.
Rodney thanks for the tip it works for some of my blinds, I have 11, lol. One will power the blind up but will not work to power the blind down, any ideas, thanks in advance
You're a lifesaver man, thanks so much.
Another quick question. Found the microswitches on digikey you have. Can you tell me what the resister is that you used? They only have 3,500 different 0 ohm resisters. lol

@@brianireland-e6b How do I contact you about fixing some of my blinds?
I have the blue and green boards. Is the red the replacement for them? Do you know the part number for the boards?
excellent
What a shi* quality video thanks for wasting my time
Where did you buy that Transformer from and does the bulb go bad I have power to the bald but there's no illumination
Hi! Found you here. Need some help with my housing being off from the actual plug. Hopefully, I can pick your brain. 🧡
Rodney, you are a funny guy. Intelligent. Run for Senate or House, we need problem solvers with honesty and humor. Hmmmmm, Senator Rodney….. sounds good!
Very informative video
Thanks Rodney. That "Thing" is likely a 1 amp fuse made by Buss. My problem was on the circuit board that wire connects to. There is a surface mount fuse on that board that was blown. Was able to jump it with a tiny fuse and a pair of wires. You at least lead me down the right troubleshooting road. Thanks.
rodney, do you have anything for a PowerTilt Motor replacement?
Look more like a glue logic problem since its charge well and boot up normally after a total power down reset state and fail to do so subsequently after the first power down or reboot. I had one motherboard with an Intel chipset that exhibited similar symptoms after I somehow managed to corrupt the BIOS with a modified custom one. Even after I flashed back the original stock BIOS externally, it's manage to boot normally the first time but subsequent boots after restart or power down the motherboard itself manage to corrupt it's own BIOS.
? ᵖʳᵒᵐᵒˢᵐ
Am similar issue gonna try it
I had a friend get a device fixed at your location in Coeur D Alene and they were very pleased, I'll make sure to bring any services I have your way in the future
If it’s drawing small power after prompting to boot it should be VDD Boost. Like you said if it’s drawing 0.08 power that should be a very small short so i suggest you to do a clear visual inspection and use diode mode measurements around VDD Boost and finally voltage injection according to the schematics voltage description. You will be back in business mate.
I bought two Lenovo Thinkvision P-27 monitors to use with my MacBook Air and mini-Mac respectively. While great when work, both have had issues with the USB-C ports from day one. One of the USB-C ports has snapped off completely rendering it unusable. At less than 1 year old and well within the 3 year warranty, Lenovo has refused to replace the broken one. Their customer support stated the consider it to be a “customer induced problem” - even though they hadn’t inspected it to determine if there was a faulty component. My advice, shop elsewhere and don’t risk your hard-earned cash. There are plenty of other solid brands at the same price and quality.

Keep on trying mate. Try locate the short and follow the line. Don’t rush to desolder chips rather do visual inspection and voltage injection. You can use a help of freeze spray to have an idea. Back to visual inspection and I am sure you will work it out. Not all the time heated spot is the absolute shorted component but it could be the shorted line. All the best mate.
en mi caso fue el condensador que estaba bajo el codec de audio, que alivio!
HV coronal discharge?
I have a Note 8 exactly with the very same problem, but I don't have the equipment you have to fix it, so I will better look for a complete good board. Maybe just heating it to melt the solder and letting cool down can help. I recommend you to use kapton tape to cover all components around the chips, so they won't desolder.
Can't remove the ram heating this side..
Skip this video in two seconds, because that horrible music.
Good one you asshole not all we have the right tools 🧰
Great video Nate. What's the approximate repair time on this with two people?
Awesome! Great job!
Very Nice! Thanks
Your name looks familiar!
How can I know the direction of my sound I C on my Samsung Galaxy Note 8
There should be a dot in one corner of the IC AND another on the board. If it has two gold marks on opposing corners you’ll need another board for reference
how much do you charge for that repair?
Can you boot without tristar?
no
On iphone 6plus i have hs4 reff conn n hs3 reff conn, But hs3 reff conn konek to fl1800
Is that from a customer or a dumpster dive find?
Do you know how I can increase the volume/audio on this? It’s almost undetectable and the speakers are set on 100%. Thank you kindly! Take care.
You saved me bro, thanks
i had same on 2 iphone 7 qualcomm boards recently...this issue of shorting baseband seems so common ! it used to be fixed with pmd replacement
Great Job this - same little sucker TY Man for sharing . gratrz fom Poland :]
