This was so fun to watch, I was laughing at the "Do it for Hagrid!" It was such a brutal wait, but you guys kept a positive outlook, props for sticking through it!
Omg I cant imagine how much i would’ve loved this as a kid. I would have an awesome time riding being 18 but if I was the kids age that was sitting in front of them the theming would’ve been so magical.
Even as an adult, it was an incredible experience and is one of my favorite Universal attractions. The kids in front of us were having a blast just screaming "The wait was worth it!" and "This is amazing!" the entire ride. Just seeing how much joy it brought everyone only made our first experience even better.
0:50 "So our wait is gonna be about 4 hours but the back of the line is about 8 hours" little did you know it'd really be 9.5 lol. I wonder how long those in the back of the line had to wait :O
Oh I know. It's crazy that our wait was more than double what we originally thought it would be: Big Yike. It definitely makes me wonder how long people behind us were waiting for sure. I think the worst part of it all was watching the people around us give up and leave during the 3rd weather downtime after spending 7 hours in line!!!
My family and I went to universal really early to ride this, we had to wait 2 hours but it was totally worth it!! It was kinda funny cause I had the exact same reaction after the ride as you did.😅
The ride absolutely blows me away every single time I ride it! It's such an adrenaline rush, and I think Universal did a great job of combining coaster and show elements to make it feel like you're in a Harry Potter story. I'm glad that you enjoyed the ride too!!!
I absolutely love this ride! I am usually nervous on rides and my first time on one i white knuckle and shut my eyes. This though my eyes wide open, a huge grin as i laughed and screamed and cheered! I loved it! Those launches are an exhilarating rush! And at the end i lifted my arms and just had a blast! Definitely a favorite for me 😁. Now the ride makes me so happy that even watching videos makes me well up with joy- and maybe even some happy tears? I just adore this coaster 😁
That's amazing! I think that just proves how successful Universal was at creating an immersive, yet thrilling experience for everyone (mostly everyone anyway since it does have a height requirement). I'm so glad your first time on this ride was a memorable and enjoyable one. Thanks so much for watching and for sharing your story! 🤙🏻😊
I went in July 2020 near when it re-opened. It was basically empty, and I’m definitely glad we didn’t reschedule for christmas! The virtual queue passes went quick, but you basically walked on the ride if you got one early enough. We actually ducked under a railing to watch the preshow and we still spent more time walking through the queue than waiting in it. The only area with a line was the room right before the boarding area, and keep in mind everyones 6 feet apart! We also hit every major ride (we skipped some simulators) in both parks and then wandered diagon. Definitely went at the right time!
That's amazing! Honestly, in terms of crowds, that was probably the best time for you to go since they were still in the introductory phase of their reopening process. I'm glad you were able to do so much there, because, although the theme parks were nowhere near as busy as they normally would have been, it was definitely more crowded around the holidays!
Wow, seeing other people experience this just makes me so happy! I’m so sad for you guys that you had to wait for 9 hours! That’s crazy, but also shows how brilliant the ride has came to show that people would take the time out of their day to ride it. I have always feared coasters, but going on this ride feels like I’m on an actual motorcycle it’s such a rush! Definitely recommend ☺️
Universal really made something special with this one! I'm so glad that you were able to enjoy this ride without having it trigger your fear!! Universal has a lot of super intense coasters, but I think they did the right thing and made this one just thrilling enough without going overboard. It was definitely a long wait, but it was so worth it to be able to say that we rode it on its opening day! 🤙🏻
@@thatguyRyan I miss you guys too, but I am so proud of how much you both have grown! Thankful I got to meet ya both and have this platform to stay in contact with you

I rode this one or two moths after it came out. It was a really fun experience. Not a big roller coaster fan but this one was worth it. We waited about one hour to ride this.
Wow that's not a bad wait time at all, especially with how soon you were able to ride it after opening day! I'm glad you still enjoyed it even though you're not a big roller coaster fan. I think that just adds to its overall greatness as an attraction!
It's so cool that your company rented out the park, and I can't believe you got to ride it 4 times!! It's such a good ride, and I hope your reaction was just as priceless. Thanks so much for watching!

thatguyRyan yeah we also went to sea world and rides there didn’t even have lines like we could ride the big rollercoasters as many times cuz there wasn’t any line. It was the best feeling just going straight to the ride without waiting. I had a great time. The lines we waited the most were when we went to Halloween horror nights for the universal studios park. We were able to get inside most of the haunted houses. Only left out like two. My legs hurt that day lol
Being able to get on a cool or fun ride without having to wait at all is such a good feeling! I haven't been to Seaworld in a really long time, so hopefully I'll get to go there again sometime soon! I did go to Halloween Horror Nights last year though and the lines there for the haunted houses were very long (but I also went very close to Halloween day so that could have been why lol).

That happened to me a few weeks ago too! I thought for sure that I was going to get evacuated, but they got it going again. Thankfully roller coasters have a lot of fail safes in place so that things like other motor bikes landing on you don't happen!
Bringing food would've been smart and I wish that Aaron and I would have done that for the super long line lol. Still a great experience overall though! :)
Isn't that just the best when that kind of opportunity presents itself?! I always feel so accomplished when I'm able to ride a super popular attraction with little to no wait!
I totally understand. Under any other circumstances we wouldn't wait that long either, but we just wanted to be able to say that we rode it on opening day lol
This ride is 100% worth it, i love my experience and story with it. Its smaller sure but i feel it may be one of my more thrilling coasters so far due to the tricks and launches. I was nervous- but excited. I got on and had the time of my life 😁
It was a really crazy (but fun) day! Thankfully there were water fountains and fans placed throughout the queue, and, even though it was still hot, it was pretty cloudy that day, which helped block some of the direct heat from the sun. Very long wait, but great day overall! :)
I was so happy with the ride! I can't wait to get back over there and do it again sometime soon! Also, the Parkeology challenge is absolutely more draining because it requires constant mental and physical energy. However, this line was a whole different kind of draining because, although it didn't require a lot of energy, having minimal access to food and water while standing in the same spot for hours definitely takes a toll lol. Both are such great experiences though!
Sweet that'll be awesome!!! Good luck! I wish I could join with everyone, but it looks like I'm going to be getting some new training that day. Keep your eyes peeled for me in Frontierland! I'll be doing another run soon though :)
Yeah I didn't see his video until after I had posted mine, but I was surprised! I know Universal has much stricter video recording policies than Disney does, but I don't remember seeing any signs that said we couldn't film the ride, and none of the team members asked me to put my camera away when I brought it on board. I'm not 100% sure, but I'm wondering if the park changed the rules after opening day?
@@AlesiaDucky Oh that totally makes sense! That's super interesting, and I'm lucky I was there early enough to be able to record mine and Aaron's initial reactions to the ride! But safety and successful operation of the ride should definitely be number one priorities, so I don't blame Universal for quickly changing the policies for this attraction.
Yeah we went on the first day of operation, which was insane because we ended up waiting a very long 9.5 hours for the ride! I was hoping we would get to see Tom Felton (Draco Malfoy) who was also there for the ride that day. Either way, the ride itself was phenomenal and it's even cooler to say that we were there on Day 1!
This was so fun to watch, I was laughing at the "Do it for Hagrid!" It was such a brutal wait, but you guys kept a positive outlook, props for sticking through it!

There is no way I'd wait that long for any ride.
I totally understand. Under any other circumstances we wouldn't wait that long either, but we just wanted to be able to say that we rode it on opening day lol
@@thatguyRyan i think that if you want to do a ride that bad you should. I'm just sating this is my personal oppion.
This ride is 100% worth it, i love my experience and story with it. Its smaller sure but i feel it may be one of my more thrilling coasters so far due to the tricks and launches. I was nervous- but excited. I got on and had the time of my life 😁
9h standing? i would collaps in that heat.o.O
It was a really crazy (but fun) day! Thankfully there were water fountains and fans placed throughout the queue, and, even though it was still hot, it was pretty cloudy that day, which helped block some of the direct heat from the sun. Very long wait, but great day overall! :)
I loved hagrids
Oh same! It's such a fun and immersive coaster
@@thatguyRyan yea
Ride looks fantastic. More draining. One line for that long or your parkeology run?
@@thatguyRyan glad to hear it. I think I'm running with the big EveryRideWDW on the 24th so maybe will see you out there
Sweet that'll be awesome!!! Good luck! I wish I could join with everyone, but it looks like I'm going to be getting some new training that day. Keep your eyes peeled for me in Frontierland! I'll be doing another run soon though :)
Didn't know you could film on this ride, tim tracker wasn't allowed.
Are you sure your on Opening day? The line on opening was 10 hours!
You can't make drop tracks intamin
NO ride is worth this long a wait. If any ride has more than a 90 minute wait, it’s not happening for me. Ridiculous.
