I had a strong light like that in my garage for welding too, but it keept triggering my auto dark helmet all the time lol. Maybe the shroud fixes that.

Awesome build dude. Did you put a knob at the bottom top to keep it from swinging side to side? Couldn’t tell. If not, that would’ve been a cool thing to add.

Cool project. Are you going to add anything to stop the swivel?

Thanks! I actually decided to put a small bend in the bottom of the tub and it kept it from moving around unintentionally. I don't want to put any sort of locking knob on it because I want the movement to be easy when I want to swing it around.

Brads Workbench for two years it was great, in the last week it’s been acting up a little bit, throwing blades off the wheels... hopefully some more adjusting fixes that.

Great build. I, too, need a TON of light when I weld. Also, thanks for explaining "weld nuts" - never heard of them called that before, and I've seen very few makers actually care - most just use the zinc-coated...

Are you making these lights upon request...if so I'm interested...my only request is can you make it a little lighter i.e. less weight...been looking for something like this to use in my office that lights my entire room vice my desk...

Does anyone know how to add a LED to an old porter cable router? Similar to tools that have LEDs to illuminate your work. Thanks

FYI. Unless I read it wrong, you have two different "In this video" sections. You might want to remove the second, wrong one.
Nice project, by the way! This has the same output as many LED shop lights that replace fluorescents, but puts the lumens in a smaller, directeable area.

Nice video. Could someone tell me what type of welding that is?
