This looks so professional, this should be the gold standard for those also creating UA-cam videos. Simple. Ergonomic. Affordable!

Hey, we’ve gone from in-person to video and back to in-person announcements. One thing stood out to me: it was either a talking head (and I way complicated the lighting and sound) or I spent too much time trying to figure out B-roll. Do you mind sharing how long you typically spend in post and a few examples? (You can just point me to your church’s services) Thanks!

Feel free to checkout @cbcowasso and look through them. I’d say we spend about 2 hours on them. Sometimes it’s recycled standard announcements and other times it’s more involved. But if in person works well for you you, go for it 👍🏻

Did you use the Panasonic G85 to record this video? My church is looking to upgrade our camera but we're having issues deciding what to get since we want both high quality video and photo.

I don’t remember honestly. Can’t go wrong with the g85 or gh5 in my opinion. I’d stretch for gh5 if possible. amzn.to/3Wc65cT

Thanks for the video. How have your people responded to the video announcements? Was there any kickback about not seeing real live people up on stage? Do you have trouble with staff members not being ready on time? How do you handle the person who tracks you down last minute on Sunday wanting their event announced that Sunday? Blessings

Great questions! Nothing but positive feedback really. We need to move to having a few lay leaders get involved instead of always having staff do it. That will be more planning. No last minute announcements, and we use the 50 percent rule (loosely) for choosing what makes the cut.
Video is usually 2-3 minutes long.

Great job as always. I found an old storage room that I'm working to convert to a "studio" type room that we'll use for filming videos, my weekly worship / devotional, and make family pics. This type of rig would be perfect.

I really enjoy your videos as a volunteer who's learning all these things for the first time! Thanks! Keep em coming!😊

Great video, and really helpful. Video notices always feel like a proper headache so haven't done them yet, but might give them a go with something like this.

I was the same, we now do a church news video and my rule is its 2-3 minutes long every 2-3 months. So when big ticket items build up we shoot a fresh video, play it the first Sunday and then post it on socials/email and pin it to our YT channel so everyone sees it. It's been a super nice way to ease our church into it!

I honestly pushed back for years on doing them as I didn’t have the bandwidth. Having a part time tech director has helped as he typically edits. But this setup makes me not despise the setup and tear down 😀
