Started AC 2 as a literal kid about a decade ago. My child brain couldn't appreciate the story truly then, just spent my time beating up the funny Italian NPCs and getting desynchronised for killing them. The music, architecture, and narrative was nearly wasted on me. It wasn't until I graduated Uni and had fallen on some rough times that I actually gave the game a fair shot - and boy, was it worth the revisit. The theme of growing attached to Ezio as he grows older and matures was so organic and resonated strongly with me. It's probably because I remembered having been literally an impatient brat complaining "when do we get to the assassin bit? this prologue is so long!" back in the day. Just as much as Ezio is an impatient young man in the early stages of the game who distracts himself from his objectives, I was too busy screwing with the game and not doing the missions and therefore not advancing the plot. Seeing Ezio "grow" as a person, literally checking the in-game calendar and doing the math after the end of every chapter. I realized how realistic the game is when it comes to the passage of time. Life goes by so fast. One day you're a carefree little spoiled brat, and the next, you're full-time committed to an occupation you don't remember choosing in the first place. The Ezio trilogy really aged like fine wine, and it's a shame there's nothing quite like it out there.
I only recently played AC2 and Brotherhood for myself at 21 years old, and I've never played any AC games before. Somehow, in spite of being no longer a kid, I have developed major nostalgia and warm feelings for both those games. imo, AC2 has better music, and I love relaxing ambience videos like these. Thank you
@@thispurplebean2 I have yet to play AC 1 so I just recommend doing some quick research on the game. Revelations is good tho I just completed the story a few hours ago, definitely worth it!
@eliminator1472 I'm part way into Revelations and the story feels slow... does a big antagonist show up soon? Cause Ezio killed the big bad in the first mission and the driving conflict just feels slow and empty
24:08 This moment and this music reminds me of my beloved girl death, I listen to this song every day in a slow version, and these Ezio's Family songs make me think about my life and the time passed with her. Rest in peace my love. Good luck in developing your channel
I played this game for the first time in 2020 while taking care of my grandpa during his cancer treatments and I finished it a couple of days after he passed he didn’t get to see the ending 🥺😔

if only all jobs were as glorious as that of an assassin

Da Italiana dico che ho letteralmente i brividi. 💚🤍❤️
Hate the fact that they removed the whole free roam background music from ac3 onwards. Even in revelations the bgm is practically unhearable.

AC Unity is not planned in the near future, but maybe some time next year. We'll see :)
Not good enough to deserve one
@ its top 3 😂
@WBEbetterCC78 disagree. Maybe top 5 but only because the majority of AC games kind of blow
The ads broke the atmosphere 😢
