one of the best history periods in a game ever
I still look back at it like who wanted the Italian renaissance era but it was the best thing they could’ve done
who could've known Renaissance Italy could be such a banger? That era was so rarely represented in games, it was really Ubisoft peak time.
@@jeanculasec1466 wait until you learn about the whole history in Italy.
Italy and Greece history could let Ubisoft make more than 30 new Assassin's Creeds.
One of the best periods in my life bruh . That rainy weather .. came after school .. left everything played the game went to rooftops.. smelling the fragrance of rain and mud comin from outside while i listen to this song .. life was so good back then .. it was so good and easy.
AC2, AC Brotherhood RDR1, RDR2, Mafia 2, Kingdom Come Deliverance and Ghost of Tsushima, Battlefield 1 are all at the top for best historical games even if they’re not entirely accurate.
😭the memories I was 14 when I played the game!! Now I'm 27!! It was the best time!
Wow same!!!
It’s crayz man time flies by :( I miss these days , I was a little kid playing living the best life , now I am 23 and life isn’t the same and it’s very hard for me , but I am happy I got these games I won’t ever forget , it reminds me of my childhood
@@jordanmarazzi3548 Glad to see you again. I hope you're doing better :)
@@Pharysz thanks bro :) and hello and unfortunately not bro but it’s Monday today I just woke up and I am ready to change man , I need to change I quit smoking weed today and next time I see your video I will update you :)
I was 11 when this game released. I remember playing the multiplayer mode every day after school, I even reached max level 50.
Got Assassin's Creed II and Modern Warfare 2 for Christmas 2009, I'm 27yrs old now. Music hits hard with the nostalgia, goddamm.
Dude right? And then one year later it was ac brotherhood and black ops 1. What a time to be a gamer
Didn’t get them for Christmas, but I got both around that time. Time flies man
Hey you know something? Christmas never got better than that! I was in the same boat my friend
My cousin would sleep over and we'd play this, mw2, Cod 4, ac brother hood, and much more. Bouta cry lmao
I got AC2 and Uncharted 2 for Christmas… what a great Time !
Home in Florence is my alarm for morning. Best way to start a day.
That sounds beautiful
Nice alarm you’re a genius !
My god this is genius
Mine is welcome to constantinople from AC Revelations
Oh gees I need that too
Damn that guy sweeping has that spot really clean.
Should be really shiny by now
Hahaha! 😊
I guess the best thing about this game is how it makes us all feel the exact same feeling of nostalgia and joy, and so connects us all. I think thats just as beautiful as all the things that make this game a masterpiece.
Absolutely! Love to see all those comments about childhood memories :)
Agreed
It's so weird that a game made me wanna visit Florence, and I did go! What a masterpiece!
How was it? I wanna go to in the future :)
@@Pharysz Worth it 100%!
same brother it was soooo crazy haha i was in rome and i told my gf we must go to to florence
I literally brought my whole family to Florence, Venice, Monteriggioni, Siena and San Gimignano as a kid because of AC2. Tuscany is one of my favorite places ever. And all that probably only because I played a videogame 13 years ago.
yes sir and man was it fucking beautiful just like the games man really really warmed my heart@@jungi001
I wish I could go back when I didn't know this beautiful story, when everything was different and I still had a chance to change things... 9 years have passed
A chance to change things? What do you mean? :)
if you're alive, you still have the chance, dude. I believe you =)
head up bro :)
The best game ever! I don’t even know how to explain myself. I will always cherish this game with all my heart.
The old AC was just so cool ! 😄
Same think for me. This game is the best one for me.
Amazing Era, amazing character, amazing story, amazing places, amazing music... everything was amazing with this game. Is the one that i would pay a lot of money for a remake (not remastered, even though I bought Ezio's trilogy remastered as soon as it came out 😅)
the flashback cristina missions in brotherhood were great. ezio's updated AC2 assassin robes are bomb. one day I hope to see a full remake of AC2.
Yeah right? His robes look amazing. Would love to see an improved pacour system with nice graphics :)
I really loved his father's robes , they fit perfectly into the timeline and crowd
his Brotherhood outfit was cool but it alway felt like the odd one out in a group
the only game besides AC 2 that had those robes as a wearable item was just Valhalla
NO REMAKE. Do not anyone dare touch this game
@@DupaMegaFilip hey if it's a worthy remake like the "Mafia Definitive Edition" it's great. But never should be like the GTA trilogy remastered
We're talking about UBISOFT here, not Hangar 13 and not Rockstar Games. Ubisoft will pour so much microtransaction garbage into this (especially knowing that old fans will buy it, so there's a good chance their pockets will get filled up) that you wouldn't be able to recognize the game by the time they're done.@@GRR1MN1R
Ezio’s family always makes me feel warm inside, gives me a feeling of familiarity, even the first time I ever heard it, 10+ years on I still get the same feeling every time!
Ok 3secs in im tearing up ... part of my youth when fam was okay and stuff nostalgia pure
Feeling you bro!
I can never get enough of Ezio's Family, even after all these years... It never lost its magic.
Quite literally the best video game song/soundtrack of all time imo
I remember listening to the track in the city, somehow knowing in that moment i would find it nostalgic in the future and would come back to listen to it. All these years later here we are, bitter sweet.
Oh boy, I remember me being at school buying physical copy of the game and then playing it thousands of times on my PC. The music, atmosphere and the storyline were absolutely insane. I need to download the Ezio Collection for my PS5 to bring back those memories
That's what I did and it was a blast. Would recommend it every time :)
Why just why the music makes me feel something I cant even explain. I will always love this game for the uncertain attachment the ambience, the game has on me
I still come here over and over. Return to Florence just hits the right spot I can't help it
Thank you for showing up so often! :)
@@Pharysz I'm always here :)
People who played this game when it came out must've been lucky cause the cozy vibe you get playing this game or any old Assassin Creed game was just tooo good in terms of music, areas in the game, story, amazing characters, etc. I played the Ezio Collection for the first time in 2019 and was just left in emotions/feelings that I couldn't describe to anyone after completing all 3 games, like getting a cozy vibe in my room and just thinking of people who played this back in 2009 when it came out and what a feeling it must've been for them. Man, I love assassins creed and am hopeful that Mirage could get some of that old nostalgic feeling in 2023. This has made my day❤.
24hrs left of having hope for mirage being just as good
Thank you for this beautiful comment. I hope Mirage was able to capture some of that awe from back in the day :)
@@Pharysz It did❤...kinda in some aspects😅😂
ac2 probably gave me top1 gaming memories of my life, unbelievable beauty of this creation and incredible storyline
what a nostalgia, i feel like i am about to cry :,)
Beautiful, isn't it? :)
At that moment I was 29 years old. I played games from my 8th until my 18th or s. it was all platformers, JRPG's,... But then started going out and doing other stuff than gaming. Around 2006 I picked it up again and went straight to my old genres: JRPG's and platformers. The whole 3D gaming thing with a usable camera was new to me but I started there around 2007/2008 and then one year later this gem came out... Still one of my favorite gaming memories ever.
Happy you gave it a try back then! Luckily you found yourself a gem :)
we need a remake of the ezio trilogy
No, we are not! Modern Ubisoft can't make a good game without microtransactions and grind
@@hyder5747 how can you fuck up a remake tho.
@@ayzz583 easy for Ubisoft. "Backing to roots" - AC Mirage
@@ayzz583 Have you seen the GTA remakes? They're fucking horrendous.
@@tiggersrevenge those are remasters not remakes
bro the atmosphere of this game is peak!
This is just pure nostalgia I remember i was just 8 or 9 when i played this game now I’m 21 and it’s a feeling you can’t express whenever you play the game or just hear it’s authentic pure music i don’t know why but today’s games can’t match something of this level still specially in terms of music
Yeah definitely. But I think it also plays a huge role that we played it in our childhood/teens. Those games formed us :)
Yeah.. it's sad how quick our childhood ends and we grow up, unable to experience games at that level of pure careless joy anymore@@Pharysz
The music really made this epoch a mesmerizing experience for any gamer
Have to agree :)
Thanks Ubisoft for making my childhood better. Ezio ❤
7:24 is just phenomenal
Looks like a mission from ac brotherhood but I could be wrong. Such a nice tune at the start, never heard of it before
The entire soundtrack is great - on a par with, if not better than, Skyrim’s. The song “City of Rome” is 🔥
That's right, crazy that you noticed it. But I thought I can lable it as ACII since it's pretty much the same scenery and even a memory of that time :)
I made it a mission to bring the lesser known (AC) tracks to these videos for everyone to enjoy :)
I know right? beautiful tunes
You can tell it's brotherhood by the white gradient filter at the top
The type of music that disarms you instantly.
Hands down best ambient soundtracks ever in the gaming history❤
hard to name a bigger upgrade in a series than AC to AC2... and my favorite AC is ACB, I remember going to a mall where they had AC2 in the playsataion3 for you to play and just spending hours marveled at how incredible that game looked/felt at the time. Might be nostalgia talking but I feel like that era of gaming was its peak
Sounds like a beautiful memory to me :)
Raw childhood memory 🫡
This game is an absolute masterpiece and the music contributes a major part of it!
yesterday i had this video in my earphones while i was in Florence and high on psychedelics, GUYS YOU CAN'T BELIEVE. I was just under Giotto's bell tower and a girl was cosplaying Ezio with Altair's Armour i said to her "Salute ser Ezio, diamo un occhio alla lista?" like the architect in Monteriggioni.
WHAT AN EXPERIENCE I'M THINKING ABOUT DOING IT IN VENICE.
10/10 experience
Ahh... back to the time when Ubisoft still valued creating an immersive, dense game with a mysterious atmosphere. And you would simply soak up that atmosphere and feel like a shadow in the night leaping between narrow alleys and over rooftops, instead of a hack-and-slash demigod of carnage with as many action scenes as possible... and a burning axe in hand.
Ezio's Family is a masterpiece in the series that has been modified from part to part in one way or another.
what a classic. im getting flashbacks just sitting here listening to this masterpiece
Ezio's family is literal magic 💯💯
I still remember playing this game for the first time at age 11! Been over 10 years since then and I still love this game. The music holds so much nostalgia and good memories
Best days of my life playing this game in 2007 or 2008. Felt so real. I really wanted to visit Italy ever since. I've learnt Italian because of this beautiful experience, I call it an experience because this is what is was for me, I can hardly just call this beautiful work of art in every way, just a game. Good times... :')
Wow, this game really left an impact on you. Beautiful :)
AC2 has some of the best ambient soundtrack in a video game ever! it never gets old and it gives me the feels all the time!!
These songs have their moments, thats for sure. The feelings they evoke are often feelings I thourougly enjoy.
This game alone and the story around it of Florence made History one of my favourite subjects. We had renaissance in the tuscany and the parallels and names always caught me offguard.
Unfortunately we never covered the renaissance in detail in school. But AC sure got me invested in this time period :)
I literally moved to Florence because of this game.
Talking about committment!
I was checking it out on maps. Reminded me of your comment so wanted to ask how is it?
C’est fou comme la musique rappelle des émotions. J’avais 12 ans !
Je suis persuadé que ACII est devenu ce qu’il est aujourd’hui en grande partie grave à ses thèmes musicale.
What a masterpiece... i went to old days... Now i'm closing my eyes and trying to sleep with this sadness...
This game deserves remake.
the longest duration goosebumps I have ever had in my life. and thats not an exaggeration
I'm glad I got to experience to best gaming era
what a masterpiece (listening at 02:45 am)
one of my fav games and ac sound tracks are so amazing bruh it's so beautifull
this is my favourite video on youtube, thank you! really takes me back
Makes me happy to hear that! Glad you enjoy it :)
I never thought that there would be AC ambience, love it!
Made for people like you! Thank you for listening :)
@@Pharysz Glad to have came by, have a nice weekend ahead!
Oh gees I’ve been playing through every single assassins creed (I’m up to black flag rn) and even though I finished AC 2 earlier this year it’s still nostalgic 😅
you should stop after blackflag tho....!
@@Mo0shii nah I 🏴☠️all of them so I’ll definitely give all of them a try (except liberation)
Total masterpiece.
im a history enthusiast and AC Games are my Travelmachines. Pls never stop
Same here :)
one of the best game i ever played. i use to stand on tall tower and injoy the view at night
Got on my headphones while watching the dogs play outside yes. this is my peace. 🙂↕️🙂↔️
The song at the end tho..Legendary.
Best game opening ever ua-cam.com/video/dcTpXgs15S4/v-deo.html
l'ambiance musicale de la trilogie Ezio justifie a elle seule dèja la nécessite de se faire ces trois jeux juste exceptionnel. Que de souvenirs passé a y jouer mon dieu. Fratello mio
It brings back so many memories
Was in love with an Italian girl while playing this and she expressed the same too (8 months), long distance so we never got too serious, but in the end after 8 months of being so close and sharing literally everything with each other and nice time she ended it like turning off a switch, got someone there and.... well yea logical choice but... in the end she didn't even acknowledge it after everything. FeelsBadMan.
Damn, sorry to hear that :( I hope you are in a better place now!
Bro......... That ezio family at the end caught me off guard
Thanks for this! Much love!
This was the last game were my big brother (26y) and me (19) would share for last time, the familiar scenario again... me as a co-pilot and letting him play the whole game before Christmas ends and he returns back to London...
Next Christmas he came back to Spain and also played Brotherhood. After that , our own lives has continued and we barely speak , because of fights and tense situations... I hate him now but even when i see AC2 i automatically transport to that time where we looked happy, like a family, even though we were 3, since father was missing, but i dunno.... the part when Ezio and his bigbrother hike the intro tower still brings me a tear. If i only knew it was the last time I wouldnt had screwed so much..
I'm sorry to hear that... Maybe you two could get back together in the future and reconcile
I'll upload a new video today about Ezio and his brother later today. I don't know if it would bring you more pain or happiness, but maybe it's something for you :)
@@Pharysz Oh thank you really apreciate that
nostalgic as ever
i played this is 2010 when i was 11...still remember the Leonardo flying machine mission which was hard for me then. Im 24 now, so i've lived more since playing the game then back when i played it 🤣
Forgot how cool these tracks sound!
florence feels home
This is music in my heart.
AC2 is simply the best AC game ever, what a gem
Masterpiece

Ohhhh the nostalgia. The f*cking NOSTALGIA!! 😭😭

This is actually from a Christina mission in Brotherhood. At least thats what it looks like
That's absolutely right!
😍 Really good
I love this game.
Ezio Auditore da Firenze - The greatest Assassin ever
Bro this game is a masterpiece and florence is from another planet
My 3rd fav game here and my fav music
Amazing soundtrack. If you could do this with different images from around acII It would be just a nostalgia overload. This and brotherhood were peak AC
I keep this in the back of my mind. Might make a video like this in the future :)
Thank you!!
Thank you for coming by :)
Still the best AC to this very day.
peaceful environment
There is no classic game out there that deserves an HD modern remaster more than ACII.
Immaculate.
no video game era will ever be this good again for me sadly, i miss playing games with my brothers, played almost every game with my younger brother Sam, we never really got along but when we gamed we were best friends. hes not doing so hot rn beccause his dog passed and other reasons, i keep reminding him how much i love him and trying to get him to game but hes on his own path, i miss spending time with him
Be there for your brother when he needs you! Maybe try to get together for a new gaming session :)
Hope he'll feel better in the future
Was a time when Ubisoft associated with quality and perfect game experience...Rest in peace.
The most immaculate floor in all of gaming
I was 10 when I played this game good times :')
Restore this game, like the old castle it is, vaulted in our memories...
