      @@scdm8906 when they dont freely give technical specs, you know theyre hiding something. This type of scooter can easily be bought from China for much much cheaper. Until Skooza comes out and gives TECHNICAL reasons why their scooter is superior, ill assume this is just a money-grab.

    When you have a product like this that balances without a kickstand , it speaks volumes about the level of depth in quality of the designers.

    How do you keep it from being stole?
    Where do you park it? Would not fit in a bike rack
    How far will it travel on a charge?
    Cannot pedal assist: slower, less distance, cannot ride like a bike if charge goes out

    • @electrifiedreviews
      @electrifiedreviews  5 років тому +2

      what's up, walter! all this is addressed in depth in the video, but here's some quick answers to these questions. the motor locks the rear wheel when the scooter is off so it can't be rolled/ridden away. it weighs about 100 pounds so it's unlikely someone is going to run off with it. it goes about 30 miles on a charge. and you are correct that it cannot be ridden like a bike as it doesn't have any pedals. hope that helps!

      I spent about the same building my ebike. It's faster, more powerful, and has twice the range of this thing. They should up the voltage and make the motor crank out 2000W. Then it would do close to 40 mph. I wouldn't mind voiding the warranty and moding one of these if I had the money to tinker with it.

But you're comparing what amounts to two bars on a 250 watt motor designed for portability and commuting to something that has a bigger deck, better all terrain capabilities, motor (better for hills), battery, payload capacity (which wasn't discussed previously), theft deterrence, and better warranty. That's why I don't think it's fair to compare this, or any similar scooter to the Xiamoi. It's no surprise they don't cost the same. It's like comparing a compact car to an SUV

    Brent, what p.s.i. are you running in the tires, between 10 and 20? Is there anyway you could drop the psi down to around 4 or 5 and let me know how the steering/handling feels on pavement and soft sand? Dropping the tire pressure down will make the ride way more supple and plush. I'll be doing mostly soft sand desert riding with a little pavement in between and want to run low tire pressure. I'm hoping that these tires will still ride and steer acceptably on the pavement at such low pressure. Love this fat tire scooter!

      @@skooza lol, all you did was name every part of the scooter, also vague, subjective things like "aesthetics" and "stance". "Specifics", to me, would be something like "We use a 28ah LG type X battery which has proven to have double the lifespan as the common 20ah Samsung type e35 cells sold on alibaba, we are the only manufacturer to use the superior 6061 aluminum alloy which does not come on the scooters out of alibaba. Our scooters have been tested waterproof up to 10 meters, alibaba scooters recommend to not ride in the rain, our motors were designed in-house and patented and are made with X material to reduce friction, etc" stuff like that. i asked what SPECIFICALLY is better about yours, and you essentially answered "Everything is better".

    Ive got an Outstorm electric scooter. Paid 2700 Canadian and it has front and back motors 3200 watts, dual disc brakes, dual suspension, onroad offroad,40 to 50 mile range,top speed 50 to 55 miles an hour. Very durable and folds for storage. This here is a decent looking scooter but clearly overpriced for what it is.

    It's an piece of art. It is not a practical transportation device. It lacks in so many areas that it's hardly worth listing. A person should just go buy an e-bike and could do a lot more for a lot less. Get a Radrover for $1500 and go just about anywhere.

    Because it's so stable and beefy I would like to see it hit a higher top speed, longer ride time, and more power. It is expensive, but maybe jacking up the performance can justify the price a little better. Copycat China will answer the challenge and build one for a fraction of the cost and offer cheaper/free shipping. Maybe it won't be built as well or have the latest/greatest tech, but for a lot of people price talks, and China is learning and building things better as time goes on.
