Great video! I liked that each sheath was different, presenting other creative ideas/suggestions. Also, an axe sling was a good idea and makes a lot of sense. Very informative and relaxing video!
Thanks! It was my intention to show a few different alternatives of how to make sheaths, and of course there are other ways to do it aswell. The sling is very convenient when bringing an axe out in the woods when you also need to carry other things, so you free up your hands. Glad you liked the video. I hope you’ll find it useful if you need to make something similar yourself.
Just discovered your channel through your review of the Rinaldi axe. I love your videos; they are relaxing, informative and well detailed! Keep up the excellent work, I can tell you will do extremely well on UA-cam.
Very nice video. Instructive and relaxing. Working with leather to create sheaths for axes and knives is something I've always wanted to do but kept putting off. You make it seem easy. Thank you so much for this video full of valuable information. Take care
Maybe a bit longer sling could be needed for if you want to carry it across, but with a jacket on. Or being a viking, you may not need a jacket... 😁 Very nice video, as always!
Outstanding leather work as always, each axe head brilliantly taken care of, your quickstrap was thought through, probably took longer to think about , then to make, could be possible to have an adaptable multi use strap, with a bit more leather over the shoulder,,,, for when I'm out with my bazooka! 🤪 , haha I don't really have a bazooka,,,, not any more! 🤪, but on occasion , a camera tripod, or even my canoe padel, after all much as like chopping wood in the forest, I can't every time! 🤪 What do you think of a multi use sling? 🤔
Glad you liked the sling. You’re right in your assumption that it took longer to think about than to actually make. But that can be said about a great many things. I’m all for multi purpose things, slings are no exception. I’ve already given that some thought. A sling can easily be adapted to suit anyone’s individual needs.
The punch set you used that is in the multi punch set… tool makers and machinists use them for general line up of holes to indent the steel stacked below as a time saver and to accurately duplicate holes from piece to piece. I used them as a tool and die guy before CNC made everyone a tool maker’s apprentice.
Yes! There it is, the video. Good work.
Longest one ever. But it had to be done.

Very nice video, as always!
I’m actually curious about how it would work together with a backpack. I’ll try that shortly.
I alwys enjoy seeing you work with leather. I might put in an order soon :)
Thanks for that. I’ll help you out if I can!

Transfer punch set.
Is that what you call those hole punches? Transfer punches?
