Wow, I finally see a Bronco review that matches my own order (due this October). A Big Bend four door with a soft top, 2.3 engine, and the standard lighting package, along with cloth seats. I was second guessing my sticking with the standard lights, but your video showed that to my taste, they do indeed look better. More retro like the 1966 Bronco that first caught my eye. I feel like through your review, I got to test drive my own order before it arrives. Well done and thanks!
Y’all are the most positive professional reviewers I’ve seen on YT. Did you consider the Black Diamond trim? I would have figured the wash out seats and floors would have been good for kids.
Ford’s neoprene seat covers are super comfy and provide lots of protection. I have them on my cloth Big Bend. No sliding on the cloth and doesn’t get very hot in the sun.
Not sure if the Bronco is the same, but my F150 is $80 a year for the nav, and that includes the live traffic and map updates. The updates on my Lexus were about $400 and I did them every 5 years otherwise they became to outdated to be helpful. So pretty comparable.
Wonderful review! Did anyone else notice that the window goes down an inch when you open the door? Seen it at 11:10 when Evie opens the door. Again wonderful review! Hope you enjoy your bronco!
I beg to differ, a small turbo charged 4 cyl is great for a small coupe or sedan, like a Civic, but for a big boxy, heavy, wind resistant vehicle, I prefer a larger motor, that is not always working so hard or getting super hot from a turbo. I’m more for a naturally aspirated V6, and eventually a V8. I don’t think the 4 cylinder in this, and the 2.0L option in the Jeep Wrangler will have longevity as they run hotter, rev higher, than 6 cylinder motors that are naturally aspirated, time will tell.
@@TheSchmed you can beg all you want, but unless you have something to substantiate that I think it’s all speculation. Ford has been putting this engine in a lot of vehicles, both big and small, and it’s performed well over the 5-6 years it’s been out. They run at the same temperature as any other engine, given the radiator and cooling system are working properly. Turbo’d engines also don’t need to rev as high as their torque curve starts pretty low down (at least in this application). Sure there is the additional complexity of charge pipes, intercoolers and oil lines but no different to a V configuration engine having additional head, valve train and such over a traditional inline engine.
That’s a good idea! I also saw on another channel (Truck King) there’s a small outfit that makes neat leather grab handles called Giddyupz. Look like a man elegant way to help shorter or people who need a little extra to get inside along the same lines as that.
Nicely done! I’ve had on order since early February, a 2 door basequatch w/ 2.7 and aux switches. I’m ready for the wait to be over but obviously because of the hard top situation I will not get mine until 2022. Haha.
It took me a bit after getting our 2020 Explorer to realize I could customize the look of the Ford infotainment screens. Dark mode with some of the alternate backgrounds make it much more attractive.
Understatement at 15.9 MPG: "The fuel economy in this thing is awful." Expected with those kiddie pool-size tires, though. Kudos for the honest review.
There is no vehicle that is raised with 35" tires that is going to get great mileage. I love the Bronco and the Sasquatch package however, this is a purpose built vehicle for people that plan to offload with them. I would buy one however it would not be used as a commuter or daily driver. That said, I don't understand why Ford puts that 2.3 in them, the 3.5 EB would get better mileage than the 2.3, the 3.5 has enough torque with 0 boost that it'd be able to handle acceleration, etc. IMO the NA 3.3 ought to be the base engine and the 3.5 EB be the upgrade engine. The 2.7 is a great engine, but it's marginally more efficient than the 3.5 and the 3.5 is simply a beast of an engine, the F150 version may be too much for the Bronco, but they could always use the ECM to reduce max torque.
From a price perspective, the upgrade from Base to Big Bend just to get the mid-pack is effectively an almost $6,000 upgrade since you not only have to pay for the trim upgrade, but also the auto trans comes standard with the Base 4 door but not the Big Bend. So the Base Sasquatch is by far a better value than the Big Bend.
If you guys have an infant car seat around for these reviews it’d definitely help this with younger kids see how family functional the cars would be 👍🏽 love the family reviews !!
What happened to the keypad on the driver door? The Bronco you took delivery of had it and you commented on it but the one in this video has no keypad. Different Bronco’s for B roll?
When they have one with a naturally aspirated V6 or V8, then I might consider. I do not think a 4 or small turbo 6 will go 100K miles without major maintenance or problems.
Glad you like it. I’m not sure what it is but when these were announced I loved the looks. Now that I’m seeing them actually driving around I don’t think I like how it looks. It’s like the proportions are off or something.
Does anybody know if Ford dealerships are marking up prices for the Bronco with people who had them ordered? I had an order and canceled back in May. But still want one. My local dealership(where I had my order)called me and said they had one just arrived at the dealer if I still was interested in one. I said hell yeah of course. They were charging me $15, 000 for "accessories" and additional 2 grand for insurance like losing key FOB, etc. The car was a dark blue color, big bend and that's it. No Sasquatch package, no modular bumper, basic interior package.
I think the Bronco will have a lot less recalls than the Bronco Sport cause the Bronco is built in the USA (Michigan) And the Bronco Sport is built in Mexico (Somewhere in Mexico)
Sup, Muzio family! The Bronco is a great vehicle but the fuel economy is not. I get that efficiency was not front and center but I'd be happy if it would get 20 MPG
Sweetie?!?!? This is how I find out?? lol Nice!!! The rear swinging door isn't that much of a problem. Maybe because we have been used to it for years, with our Lexus GX.
Your lucky you even have that Bronco. I can't get one. I am concern about quality and reliability issues right now anyway. I just have to hope my 2009 Hyundai Sonata keeps going and it shows no signs that it won't. Never even been in the shop in 12 1/2 years! I am also interested in the Ford Maverick. Since I don't go off road I think it will best suit my needs but again, can't get one. Being made in Mexico concerns me however the price is low. Maybe the Hyundai Santa Cruz if I can get a good price, I love Hyundai and they are RELIABLE!
I'm just wondering what the difference will be in the crash tests results because my understanding the Sasquatch package removes the crash bars in the passenger and drivers footwell area to clear the larger 35's.
Have you guys had any times where you wish the back row had AC/heating vents? I love this rig but I'm really hesitant living in a hot climate with a dog and no AC vents in the second row.
In the winter, the lack of rear vents hasn't been an issue. But we have had a few trips to super hot areas in summertime where rear vents would've made our kiddo much more comfortable.
Well done guys. New subscriber here enjoying your videos. I have a four door on order with the 2.3 engine. A little concerned about lack of power, but sounds like you are satisfied with it. Thanks
You mentioned that you want the imbedded nav because it will work when you're out of cell phone range. But if the cell phone is the GPS beacon for the connected nav wouldn't you lose the signal as well?
I think GPS is separate. I've noticed on my phone when already navigating a route, even when cell signal disappears the GPS will still show my position, next turn etc.
Micah, with today's crazy price inflation market I'd love to see a few of these videos on values for money on used cars! Put up say a new small car vs a nice used luxury vehicle saying see how much you could save and still have all the bells and whistles that the new car doesn't even offer. Many people can't afford new cars but they could sure afford a used FJ Cruiser and do the same stuff for half the price of a new Bronco. You couldn't do that on KBB but you can sure give some great tips and advice to help those buyers on this channel!
Hooves Garage channel was not so positive on the Bronco. Your review on the Mitsubishi Outlander has me confused. I recently saw one on the street and it looked great. We did consider the Black Diamond but with the other features we deemed must-haves it seemed a bit pricy.
Great video, as always. Micah and his family are great. Found him at KBB and then subscribed to this channel too!
These are the most informative and most entertaining reviews. Thank you.

What’s pretty sad is the Bronco Sport gets some pretty rough mileage too… Sub 25mpg for a car that is pretty small

Forget the leather seats, should have gone with the marine grade vinyl. They're child meal proof and feel a lot like cheaper leather.

18 miles per gallon 😳😳.
Fuel in the UK costs the equivalent of $8 a gallon so I'm guessing they won't sell many here 👍😅
UK Gallons are much bigger than US gallons
Heck, it's $4.50 per gallon in California. That beast has to hurt at the gas pump. 20 gal tank in the Bronco would cost $90 (!) to fill in California.
Please tell me where you bought your T shirt...It's awesome!
