- Here's an animation I made last spring. It's based on the story "Just Delicious" that was featured in "Scary Stories 3," a book I read all the time when I was little. Freaky, freaky stuff. I know my simple "style" pales in comparison to Stephen Gammell's drawings, but I tried to make it a little more like his illustrations.

I disagree on that. He didn’t deserve that at all. What he deserves is being in an abusive household having to live through it with years to come causing him the have PTSD and never being able to recover from it until his dying breath. He’s have to live at least till he’s 90 having to go through that pain he caused his ex wife.

For example, I'm Muslim, and each year every Muslim (if they have the money) they have to buy lamb or a sheep and like slaughter them and grill the meat. It is not everyday but I'm pretty sure other cultures around the world have similar stuff to this and it becomes impossible to stop consuming them

This one is such a classic. The story in itself is provably far older than the animation, but the animation definitely brings out the story.
I love Scary stories to tell in the Dark! My sister and I would read those books all the time when we were kids, and I immediately recognized the part where the dead guy haunts her for their liver.

George Flint loved to eat. Each day at noon he closed his camera shop for two hours and went home for a big lunch his wife Mina cooked for him. George was a bully, and Mina was a timid woman who did everything he asked because she was afraid of him.
On his way home for lunch one day, George stopped at the butcher shop and bought a pound of liver. He loved liver. He would have Mina cook it for dinner that night. Despite all his complaints about her, she was a very good cook. While George ate his lunch, Mina told him that a rich old woman in town had died. Her body was in the church next door. It was in an open coffin. Anyone who wanted to see her could. As usual, George was not interested in what she had to say. "I've got to go back to work," he told her.
After he left, Mina began to cook the liver. She added vegetables and spices and simmered it all afternoon, just the way George liked it. When she thought it was done, she cut off a small piece and tasted it. It was delicious, the best she had ever made. She ate a second piece. Then a third. It was so good, she could not stop eating it. It was only when the liver was all gone that she thought of George. He would be coming home soon. What would he do when he found that she had eaten all of the liver? Some men would laugh - but not George. He would be angry and mean, and she did not want to face that again. But where could she get another piece of liver that late in the day. Then she remembered the old woman lying in the church next door waiting to be buried....
George said he had never had a better dinner. "Have some liver, Mina," he said. "It's just delicious." "I'm not hungry," she said. "You finish it." That night, after George had fallen asleep, Mina sat in bed trying to read. But all she could think about was what she had done. Then she thought she heard the woman's voice. "Who has my liver?" it asked. "Who has it?" Was it her imagination? Was she dreaming? Now the voice was closer. "Who has my liver?" it asked. "Who has it?" Mina wanted to run. "No, no," she whispered. "I don't have it. I don't have your liver." Now the voice was right next to her. "Who has my liver?" it asked. "Who has it?" Mina froze with terror. She pointed to George. "He does," she said. "He has it!"
Suddenly the light went out - and George screamed, and screamed.

The use of color in scenes is perfect.
This animation is based of a Mexican(?) urban legend.
So lets call this woman, Maria. Maria, lived with a caring, loving husband. One day, her husband bought her raw meat to cook. After she cooked it and tasted it, she accidentally finished it. She was very scared that her husband might do something bad to her. What she did, she went to a church and decided to take a dead persons liver and cooked it. After she cooked it, her husband ate it but not her. Then at night, there's this one entity/spirit(?) that came and asked, "who has my liver?" maria pointed at her husband, then the spirit attacked her husband and took his liver.
I think that's how the urban legend went, kinda same as the story.

I read this story is a book from a school library of short horrow stories to tell in the dark.
Except, the old lady was already dead (as in the two knew and I think talked about it in the beginning) and they knew, and the two slept in different rooms. Idk

Here’s the original ending:
She told him how she had eaten the liver he bought. She told him how she had crept into the church next door. She told him how she had slit open the belly of the corpse, deftly cut out the liver and brought it home to cook it.
Her description was so vivid, her husband could almost see it happening before his eyes. As he listened, he grew more and more angry. Then she told him about the ghostly voice she had heard and he grew more and more fearful. The man was terrified of ghosts.
“I’m the one who ate the liver,” he said. “That means she will be coming for me to wreak her vengeance.”
He got out of bed and, without a word, he went downstairs. His wife sat in bed, wondering what he was going to do. A few minutes later, she heard his footsteps coming up the stairs again and when he appeared in the doorway, she saw he was holding a knife in his hand. She screamed and screamed.
Later that night, the husband crept into the church next door. He approached the open coffin and placed a fresh new liver in the belly of the corpse. Then, he went home and climbed into bed. His sleep was never disturbed again… and nobody ever saw his wife again.
