I believe it was representing the dish called "turducken". Which is a chicken stuffed inside a duck that is stuffed inside a turkey. It's pretty comical
Peer pressure is real. Throughout this short but marvellous film i couldn't help but notice how it nicely portraits peer pressure and not wanting to put others down even if it's not something you personally want to do but you still do it since they want you to and the pressure is too much so you go with their plan.
I love the unhinged and chaotic energy of this, and how it all seems to be something happening to the main character rather than something she has much agency over.
i'm newly vegetarian and this short really resonated with me. i had pet pigs as a kid and knew firsthand that they were essentially just chunkier dogs. one day i suddenly recognized what my food was made of, and for the first time in my life i didn't justify it with all the mental gymnastics i had been used to. i was eating my childhood pet. i fully cut meat out of my diet overnight, so i had little time to explore alternatives that were palatable to me. those first few weeks were hell, i missed meat, but at the same time i felt nauseous at the idea of eating it. i've found a good meal plan since, but i know that social pressure will start to become relevant sooner or later. so much of this captured that unease of craving food you are ethically at odds with. at the start, the rabbit has soup which she looks down and sees her friends in. later, her eyes light up when she tastes chicken again, but the discomfort she feels is evident in the way she scarfs down the rest of the food as it is offered to her. the camera angles make it look almost mechanical. well done (pun intended)!
I know it sucks. everything about it sucks. I've been vegetarian for a decent few years, though. someone kept trying to convince me to eat meat... I finally let her give me some, and I couldn't stand it. I've bawled for hours over finding out my favorite soup had beef in it, too, but... eventually both sides of that start to dull; you become more calm about the horrible nature of food and stop thinking about meat in a craving way. it'll be fine eventually. it sucks, though. sorry, I'm tired, I just mean to say- I know what you're going through, and I can both listen and give advice, if you need any of that.
I'm somewhat recently a vegetarian(I started in the earlier part of last year) but I've always wanted to go vegetarian. I know exactly what you're going through. We've all been there. You're not alone. Eventually,it will get better. I don't regret going vegetarian at all, quite the opposite actually.
I also grew up with pet pigs and still eat pork, same with chickens, goats, and rabbits. Everyone's experience is different, yours certainly isn't mine

THIS IS AN EXCELLENT CARTOON!! I WOULD SAY TELEVISION QUALITY!! The shots, the animation style, the music, the color, the voices, the sounds. The entire piece is a WORK OF MASTERY!! I love how well you capture the human emotions into animals! I give for example the quick end scene to the chicken restaurant: The fox waiter does not care about why the girls are dining so he gives a sigh upon reading their check. BRILLIANT! THE WHOLE THING FROM BEGINNING TO END IS PERFECT! It feels reminiscent of the classic Ren and Stimpy which was a favorite of mine while growing up. I just wanted to give props to the creator(s) on this one because DAMN. It's good.

Honestly, I can't relate. But it is a very emotional video. Eye-opening, perhaps, for someone who hasn't really considered where their favorite food comes from. I really like the absurd scene of a Turduckin, lol. Humans are savage little primates at our core.
I eat meat sometimes, but I can still relate. I was talking to my dentist and she was telling me how she can't eat bone-in chicken or t-bone steaks and the like because it reminds her she's eating animal muscle. I'm like... if you're so morally opposed to it, maybe you should go vegetarian? Sticking your head in the sand about what you're doing like that can't be healthy. Either be a cynic like me who thinks the world is a harsh place and eating meat is sometimes the easier choice, or go out of your way to eat in a way you find morally acceptable, but practicing willful ignorance is dangerous for so many reasons! I think this video exemplifies how creepy people who worship eating meat like it's their whole personality are. Like, they occupy the same headspace as a repressed gay person who goes around telling people what a sin it is to indulge their "urges." Going as hard as possible to ignore their own truth.
@@MenachemSchmuel eh, it's not that bad. I like eating meat, tbh I've kinda desensitized myself to the facts. But I do admit, some meats I just don't like. Like bacon. Bacond sickens me for some reason

I am loving your art style, all the character designs, animation and voices plus the story. You can really feel the situation and it encapsulates the feeling of over indulgence well frankly I used to love meat but because I was forced to eat just plates full of it on multiple occasions when I was younger(like literally just meat nothing else with no water or anything until after I finished everything on the plate) so unfortunately my pallet doesnt handle cow meat products as well anymore so I can kinda relate to the white rabbits feeling of getting sick but cant deny eating a good burger every now and then is amazing
Well done video! Amazing how this was a video about going out to eat with friends and yet it had serious horror movie vibes. Like, everything about it felt uncomfortable, wrong, like the main character had no agency and she was just trying to get through this day.
this is so pretty !! all the sound effects and the movements are so unique i love it bunches and the food looks so good :3 u have a really nice animation style !!!!
Honestly I can get how the rabbit is feeling. She’s clearly uncomfortable but doesn’t want to isolate herself from her friends or ruin their good time by saying no, so she keeps going along with the meals even though she’s unhappy. I can relate to that a lot.
I can relate to this. Ive had an eating disorder for the past year or so because I developed a severe allergy to many foods. Now everyone in my life is extremely controlling about my food and diet. I have been in a mostly fruits and vegetables diet because of it. I have to strongly stand up for my diet to my family and they keep trying to impatiently force me to eat things i shouldnt eat, and to eat out at restaurants specifically. Especially meats. I've gone to the e.r. so many times this year from cross contamination. I hope we one day have a better world where food/drink isn't so heavily tied to social acceptance and addiction.
I've been vegetarian since elementary school and the 2 times I accidentally ate meat, my stomach KILLED ME so I resonate with her being sick 😭😭 ur body does not enjoy the sudden jolt of flesh

So, I may be stupid, but this is what I got from it.
She is okay with eating a little bit of meat, but would prefer none at all.
However, her friends keep pushing her to eat more and more meat and dairy based products.
At the end, they can clearly see that she is hesitant to eat the bacon, but encourage her to eat it anyways, so she does.
Edit: I have been informed the bacon was soy bacon.
Second Edit: I think it's her cheat day? And by the end, she remembers why she chose to give up meat for the other days of the year.
Final Edit: Yah, apparently, this is all stated in the description. If this comment helped, you're just like me.
I think the friends do push her past her limits (and she gets sick at the end). But the morning after their trip, they serve her soy bacon, so it shows that they still understand that she mostly wants to eat plants for the rest of the year

Watching this was so healing. I decided to go fully vegetarian and am bordering on vegan. I grew up not eating meat until I was 10, ate it till I was 20 and when I realized it was making my chronic migraine worse I cut it out again and haven’t gone back since. My friends luckily were also this supportive! This makes me want to happy cry I feel very heard.
Hopefully you won't go full Lisa Simpson also do your research instead of jumping into it, don't become one of those EVERYONE MUST GO VEGAN OR ELSE radicalised ones, you still need proteins and iron.
The wordlessness, sound effects, and the way everything warps and bends, especially when they’re getting stressed or sick, is amazing. The way things move is just mesmerizing.
What a way to discover the channel!
I find it crazy what people will do to the lengths to fit in within their friend groups
that's not what the animation is about
"A rabbit's friends take her on a meat-bender to celebrate her vegan-anniversary, indulging in the kinds of foods she avoids all year long. "
from the description. i'm pretty sure this was consented occasion. they really seem like great friends since they get her meds and help her out later on. and at the end, the next day they make sure to give her soy meat.
@@jroxponethat’s what I gathered too! It seems to be a fun little food adventure that displays what’s it’s like to eat very filling meat for a day when you’re used to much lighter foods (stomach aches and long bathroom breaks 😅)

Peer pressure is real.
Throughout this short but marvellous film i couldn't help but notice how it nicely portraits peer pressure and not wanting to put others down even if it's not something you personally want to do but you still do it since they want you to and the pressure is too much so you go with their plan.
I love animation with no dialogue. I just liked how the bunny and her friends were eating so much food and I really love the ending. ❤
I love the unhinged and chaotic energy of this, and how it all seems to be something happening to the main character rather than something she has much agency over.
2:56 That's some nice Hotdog
Made me so hungry 🤤
i'm newly vegetarian and this short really resonated with me. i had pet pigs as a kid and knew firsthand that they were essentially just chunkier dogs. one day i suddenly recognized what my food was made of, and for the first time in my life i didn't justify it with all the mental gymnastics i had been used to. i was eating my childhood pet.
i fully cut meat out of my diet overnight, so i had little time to explore alternatives that were palatable to me. those first few weeks were hell, i missed meat, but at the same time i felt nauseous at the idea of eating it. i've found a good meal plan since, but i know that social pressure will start to become relevant sooner or later.
so much of this captured that unease of craving food you are ethically at odds with. at the start, the rabbit has soup which she looks down and sees her friends in. later, her eyes light up when she tastes chicken again, but the discomfort she feels is evident in the way she scarfs down the rest of the food as it is offered to her. the camera angles make it look almost mechanical.
well done (pun intended)!
I’m not trying to be rude but I don’t understand this thought process, if you don’t eat it, that means it kinda dies in vain.
@@CoolRanchPropaganda Same, also the 'mental gymnastics' part holds poor implications about people who do eat meat.

Like, they occupy the same headspace as a repressed gay person who goes around telling people what a sin it is to indulge their "urges." Going as hard as possible to ignore their own truth.

frankly I used to love meat but because I was forced to eat just plates full of it on multiple occasions when I was younger(like literally just meat nothing else with no water or anything until after I finished everything on the plate) so unfortunately my pallet doesnt handle cow meat products as well anymore so I can kinda relate to the white rabbits feeling of getting sick but cant deny eating a good burger every now and then is amazing
