Just installed mine last week. Very, very happy with the build quality and how easy it was to install. I'll absolutely recommend this roofrack to ANYONE with a Tacoma!! 🤟🏻🤟🏻
Yeah ours is still going strong years on! No rust or anything to speak of either.
I can’t imagine it’s great for our gas mileage but she works for what we installed her for!
Awesome video guys, really informative and what I needed for this rack system. Hope to see more in the future!
Thank you! We’re so glad it was helpful!
I loved the video. I’m curious to know how the roof rack performed with noise and wind
Hey! The wind on the roof rack is honestly super noisy. I can’t tell you if it’s worse than the front runner rack on our LandCruiser or not as I’m pretty sure our wheel bearing started making noise the same week as we installed the roof rack. But it’s noisy and I for sure feel cross winds way more with it too.
Thanks
Great video I am just curious because my instructions were left unclear. When mounting the cross bars did the order go
[1234 , 1 starting right after the light fixture bracket, or the other way around [4321 , 1 this time being at the rear of the truck?
Also last question, was the bracket that holds the lights longer than the rest of the cross bars?
Who drilled the holes
Which holes?
I just got one for my dodge and I was hoping to put the weather strip back after installing did you manage to put it back on
No we didn’t! And I’m such a perfectionist and it’s bothering me a lot. I was hoping that someone sells a modified weatherstripping for roof racks.
You can just measure and trim a small portion of the side of the molding to clear the brackets and it will be flush.
Hello could you please get me some measurements of the brackets that bolt on the roof? There was none in my box I’m gonna have to fabricate some but can’t find the dimensions
Hi! Surely if you get in touch they’ll send out the missing parts?
Which part do you need measurements of? The roof rack covers a lot of the base parts.
How was your wind noise. Im getting a terrible vibration at about 40 mph. Any trouble with that?
Hey! The wind noise is bad but we don’t have any vibration. The rack seems very solid. Almost overkill so I can’t imagine vibrations.
We’ve never had any of other racks on our Tacoma but I will say the wind noise is not ideal.
@@NomadEffect thanks for the response, i actually was able to eliminate the vibration by forcinf the rack to actually come in contact with the front of the cab, not sure how this will play out long term on the paint, bit ot did eliminate all wimd noise and vibration, that front wing needs a stiffener from the factory, thanks again!
I’ve seen another install of the same rack where someone put a rubber seal along the front of the rack to avoid any paint damage. I kinda wish I’d looked into that during the install.
how's it holding up?
It’s a really solid rack. The wind noise is pretty bad and I’m sure it’s not helping our fuel efficiency but she’s real solid. We’ve thrown lots of stuff up there and it never even almost feels like it’s getting pushed and there’s no rust or discoloration yet.
Good too know, thank you!. I figured the wind noise would be pretty bad as I heard that's the case with the more expensive racks as well but no rust or leaks is a big bonus!
How come you guys didn't install the lights?
I am having second thoughts!?!?,.’?
What about?
