When updating firmware on your 3D printer, you will need to format your SD card properly. This is how to format an SD card with 4096 Bytes per Cluster.
What a godsend Thank you J-Tac you have just saved me going insane trying to print on the Ender -3 V3 SE. It would appear that Mac users are the forgotten tribe. Any ideas on connecting via a usb-c cable directly from Cura? I think there is an issue between Cura and the silicon Macs. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
HELP:). I followed your direction but when I get to the password there is a picture of a key. I'm thinking it means the password is locked?.?. Not sure how to unlock:(. This printer was donated to our school so we are not sure on what the password was set to. Thank you for any suggestions:)
Sorry to bother you again. I tried going back to terminal mode and formatting the card again but I am still seeing an image of a key where I am supposed to enter a password. It will not allow me to type anything in for the password. I thought the sd card may have been in the lock position but it was not. Any ideas:)
This is very helpful, however, we're having a couple problems. We're using a 64gb Scan Disk. Will this still work? Once I followed all the steps and reinserted the SD, it said "cannot read disk." Thank you for any insight! @jtactical
Thank you so much! This is exactly what I needed and I could not get it to work with anyone elses videos or guides! You ROCK!
Thank you Rachel, I really appreciate the comment. I'm also super pleased that the video helped!
Thanks! You could write everything down in the description so we could just cut and paste and then insert our device node. That would make it easier.
Thank you!
PERFECT!!!!!
Awesomeness! Thank you so much for taking the time to do this! It worked!
Thanks for leaving your comment.
I’m pleased that this helped!

I followed the instructions, Then put the firmware onto the card and put it into the 3D printer and turned it on but nothing happens
This is awesome, you need more likes than this!
I guess it's just a bit of a niche video. But I'm always pleased to hear that it has helped!
Yep, this works. Thanks.
what password are we supposed to use at the end?
It should be whatever password you use to log on to your computer with... If you don't have one set, then it may not ask you for one?

Hi Lisa, the password will be the password used to log into your computer, not a password set on the printer. (I hope this helps!)
@@JTactical THANK YOU! I will give it a try when I get to school tomorrow.

Additionally, were we supposed to follow all the steps with the SD card IN...and then take it out...and then put it BACK in at the very end?
