I prefer rarity and RNG based loot systems in RPGs vs a traditional equipment system, so it made me love the game even more, i love loot based ARPGs and looters/looter shooters so i feel like this game was made for RPG lovers like me, which is why i prefer team ninjas soulslikes over fromsoftwares soulsborne games, instead of fiddling in menus, i can just equip the best gear and move on, which is also why i love godfalls loot system, i just keep the best version of each type of gear, dismantle the rest and just use the best gear i have and i can have a nice flow through the campaign and endgame
I recall I encountered something similar, but was able to get through it by switching up my build to use a different unit family. I'd try that if you haven't already!
