This is amazingly simple to understand. Japanese have a high standard for honor and respect. They get better educations, they have much more pride in their work, and take great pride in doing a job well. I shows in what they do now. It shows in many ways, though the millennial attitude is leaking over there too!
It was not like that always until America became greedy. I worked in plenty of manufacturing companies. The American workers complain to management, management hands are tied because of corporate leaders forcing engineers to make crap quick.

All while Toyota kept lying and claiming there was no issue with the floor mats causing the gas to stick.
The Honda commercials of the 80's made me a HUGE fan of Honda cars! I bought one and now have an Acura. Cant see myself getting anything else at this point.
Bring back the Integra, Prelude, CRX. Imagine making these cars back again with Retro-look and Modern twist, with performance similar to today's Type R Civic..? Power of Dreams right?👍
Honda makes incredibly high-quality 4-stroke dirt bikes as well. I started on a Honda 50F at age 10 and purchased a 2016 Honda CRF-250X this past summer at age 19. Incredibly high-power & high-torque, liquid cooled, comfortable, and just gorgeous. I will never go anywhere else.
I own a 1974 Honda CB550. The bike starts with every kick and the engine is smooth as butter. The look and quality of the machine is better than most of the motorcycles being produced today and it is an incredibly refined vehicle that keeps up with modern day traffic.
That sounds like honda is shit so you have to keep replacing them, or you just have too much money for your own good. Either way you should upgrade to something better, which lasts longer.
Nah man, Hondas are awesome, the reason ive had so many is because i buy swap and sell. Why is that too much money for my own good? because im successful at what im doing i should be hated for it? thats unjust. I change vehicles / bikes every 6 months,
I've had a Honda gas power generator for almost 15 years now, and it's save my bacon, several times, during hurricanes, and ice storms that knocked out our power for upwards of a week, it kept my fridge cold, and food from going bad, and during the ice storm kept my family warm by allowing use to run a small heater, and our battery banks/phones charged for emergency broadcast. I'll never own a lesser generator. :-)
Right on ! I also own a high end generator which is simply a jewel of a machine. Also a Gold Wing motorcycle which I can describe honestly as a "magic carpet with a jet engine". Honda, Toyota, and now Kia, are the staples of the best of automotive design, engineering and production. The rest are simply imitators IMO !!
Soichiro Honda was truly an engineer by heart and mind. The CVCC system originated from a dream that he had, which he immediately tried and tested right away with fantastic results. Only when catalytic converters were mandatory by law Honda implemented it (since the actual need were already met with clean engines/combustion). Just imagine that, inventing while sleeping.
Just before Soichiro Honda died in 1991, he published a "Green Manual" . It is an excellent comprehensive document which details Honda's approach to everything from EVs to sustainable procurement. In 1990.

Honda's S2000 introduced in 1999, with its F20C 2-Liter engine is classified as an EPA LEV (low emissions vehicle). Here is a quote from Wikipedia: "The F20C produces the highest specific output for any naturally aspirated 2.0L piston engine in a car priced under US$100,000, at 125 hp (93 kW) per liter. The F20C held the record for producing the highest specific power output for any mass production naturally aspirated piston engine." In addition, the S2000 was the only mid-engine class to achieve a dead center of yaw and gravity balanced with its 4-wheel independent wishbone suspension. Race drivers say it is extremely fun to drive.
+Arcane Anomaly "Mid Engine" is a description from the Wikipedia S2000 page. If you aren't being a Zero-Research Troll and interested to see if the S2000 truly fits the Mid-Engine class, perhaps you may care to check accuracy requirements for Wikipedia articles. Also, take a moment to Google "S2000 Mid-Engine" where you will find information on why the S2000 is a "Mid Engine" class vehicle, where the engine sits entirely between the front and rear axles. If you are adamant that it is a "Front Engine" vehicle then perhaps consider submitting a correction to the Wikipedia article to reduce the "confusion."
"as mentioned in www.s2ki.com, there is a technical definition of mid-engine that states the engine must be mounted behind the passenger compartment in order to be considered a true mid-engine car." i believe s2ki.com has as much credibility as wikipedia. just because the s2k weight distribution is like a mid engine car does not mean it fits the definition better. s2k is obviously a front engine rear wheel drive car despite its design that was purposely balanced to be like a mid engine car. the engine has to be behind the cabin to be true mid engine otherwise its front engine rear drive... if you ever looked at an s2k that would be obvious... instead of quoting from wikipedia
Back to the Era ,it was 1991 Toyota makes the most powerfull 1.6L natural aspirated enjine which is called 4aGE.IT was a power machine producing 160 BHP at 7000RPM. It was 5 cylinder 20 Valve enjine. I think this is powerfull and better than F20C enjine.

@ColdFusion Excellent video. But you forgot something, a very important one. Ethics. Honda and his associate Takeo Fujisawa did not made billions for themselves to become ultra rich. They shared the wealth by giving good wages and creating employment. They never got astronomical wages, share parts and so on like any murican CEO bleeding his company even in periods of losses. They payed their taxes. They did not hide money in tax heavens They decided to retire on 1973 with their well earned pensions, like any employee...Takeo Fujisawa opened an antique shop in Tokyo...Honda busied himself with work connected with the Honda Foundation, a true foundation, not a Trump one.

I think the only engineering complaint I've ever had with Honda was the use of a timing belt instead of a timing chain. Oh, there's also "How the f*ck am I supposed to get a wrench on that?!" Either way, it's an interesting tale.
Wrench245 I have an Acura tsx, 2007, and it's almost as 147k miles. And I never changed the timing belt in it. That's because it doesn't have one. It has a chain. IDK if they put timing belts on Honda's and chains on Acuras. I doubt it but I'm curious

They get better educations, they have much more pride in their work, and take great pride in doing a job well. I shows in what they do now. It shows in many ways, though the millennial attitude is leaking over there too!
@@Blarney77-ef2wp Honor and Respect. Something we seem to be missing tremendously.
It was not like that always until America became greedy. I worked in plenty of manufacturing companies. The American workers complain to management, management hands are tied because of corporate leaders forcing engineers to make crap quick.
But third world in politics. And whale eating savages... No thanks.

Power of Dreams right?👍
The integra is coming back. Yay.
I can say the same for my 1979 CB650 and I only has an electric starter. Just a push of a button and she purrs!
Is it a two stroke?
Irfan Malik The Cb550 has an electric start too, but I just like kickstarting better. Adds to the experience.

That sounds like honda is shit so you have to keep replacing them, or you just have too much money for your own good.
Either way you should upgrade to something better, which lasts longer.

Honda, Toyota, and now Kia, are the staples of the best of automotive

1dir its not mid engine its front engine.....
+Arcane Anomaly
"Mid Engine" is a description from the Wikipedia S2000 page.

Honda and his associate Takeo Fujisawa did not made billions for themselves to become ultra rich. They shared the wealth by giving good wages and creating employment. They never got astronomical wages, share parts and so on like any murican CEO bleeding his company even in periods of losses. They payed their taxes. They did not hide money in tax heavens
They decided to retire on 1973 with their well earned pensions, like any employee...Takeo Fujisawa opened an antique shop in Tokyo...Honda busied himself with work connected with the Honda Foundation, a true foundation, not a Trump one.
They use temps and treat them like dirt. Half the workforce are temps who do not get better wages or bonuses
@@johngrauman4208 yep they used terms on some assembly lines, but they were far from being treated poorly as you say. But they did come in on a like temporary visa and could stay up to 3 months.
