I also recently discovered these kingfishers being active in my local area. I placed a branch close to where my hide is. Often playing with bird (kingfisher) sounds also helps a lot. They tend to reply to these calls and will land on your branch eventually.
I’ve been trying to get photos and video of a kingfisher for over a year. No luck yet. If there’s no challenge, there’s no fun or satisfaction. Very nice upload!

Hi James, it’s a Deerhunter Explore Smock in adapt cam. When I bought mine last September from them it was £107.95, now it’s £225.00, and there is a lot better out there for that kind of money, it’s good, but it ain’t that good! Hope this helps

I just saw 2 kingfishers in Exmoor flying up and down a shallow river just above the water at incredible speed,unbelievable sight.
Thanks man, yeah they fly fast, up to 25mph and 6" off the water, that's mad eh!

A patient attitude sure helps with bird photography and you have that! Kingfishers are tough to catch. Love the Egret photos as well.
