    So nice to see you get great shots with an older set up, just proves you don’t need expensive gear thanks!

      Well I am planning on upgrading in the future, but yes you are right. The best camera is the one you have at moment and it doesn't matter if it is old or new, what matters is how you handle it.

      Thank you, summer months are usually the best time to see them as they are more active. Visit your local lake or river and you might get the shot, Good luck.

    Lovely video Adam. Appears they were juvenile kingfishers, probably the first brood of the year.

      Thank you, I can´t really tell a difference between juvenile and adult but I was thinking the same thing, because there were just so many of them.

      @@AdamSadlonPhotography main way is the feet. Adults have bright orange feet, the young ones have dark feet.

      @@EastLondonKingfishers Thanks, I am gonna remember that

    •  3 місяці тому +1

      @@AdamSadlonPhotography The white tip on the end of the beak is a giveaway, too. Juveniles have this because, in dark nests, adults can see what to feed more easily. As they grow, this darkens as they feed themselves. Male Kingfishers have an all-black beak, and females have slight orange markings underneath their beaks on the lower side. This is often referred to as Kingfisher lipstick!

    Hi Adam. Enjoyed your video very much. Here on the west coast of Canada we have the belted kingfisher. I discovered one by accident one day way back in the spring but have had no luck capturing one since, despite seeing them on numerous occasions. They are extremely shy birds and will fly off at the first sight of a human. After watching your video I have decided to try some camoflage. Hopefully I will have better luck. Cheers.

      Thanks a lot, good camouflage is always helpful. One day I would like to see belted kingfisher as well.

      @hugodapalma Hi, Thanks, it is called Tragopan V7 and yes with kingfishers they come as close as 1 meter away from me.

      @hugodapalma 4 місяці тому

      @@AdamSadlonPhotography It looks great and stable. The nets on the windows did you had to buy them separately? Are those the ones used for the V6?

      @hugodapalma 4 simple nets and 1 net with an opening for a camera came in the package and they should be the same as the one used in V6

    Great photos and videos! I love king fishers! I never tried the hide. Is it worth the investment?

    • @AdamSadlonPhotography
      @AdamSadlonPhotography  21 день тому

      Oh yes, this hide was one of my best investments for birds photography. Birds dont have any problems with staying near me while I am in the hide(kingfishers, tits, nuthatches...), once I go out they keep a larger distance.
