Crossovers were absolutely horrifying when I first tried them! I did NOT expect lifting my foot to be so scary and I did not expect to gain so much momentum. Thank the Gawds for crash pads! I have it down now but need to work on getting lower and crossing further over. Thanks for the tips!
Hello, do you think that you can have Shove do a video on crossovers since she has thicker legs? It's really hard trying to figure it out how to do crossovers with bigger legs and I can't figure it out!
Time to hit the squat lab... I felt it in my soul when you said "you may need to do more squats and that sucks" yes. Yes it does. but anything worth doing is worth doing well, right? Thank you for always encouraging and giving us noobs the tools we need!!!
4:05 was the easiest way for me to learn. I found an endless one way road, and just kept doing it. Not so much for the speed, I love Disco, and it just adds that charm.
Crossovers are the scariest for me. I’m confident in my skating counterclockwise when my outside leg is my right but it’s super exhausting in the opposite direction. I dare not try and crossover in that direction…yet. I’m going to get there.
It depends how wet. If it has lightly rained, that might be okay depending on how confident a skater you are (it'll be more slippery). Too wet, you increase the risk of slipping out, and you do not want to get water in your bearings.
Those big derby pads are the only ones that fit my knees and calves, and yeah, they are huge! If I could buy the thickset kneepads separately I would, but the wrist guards are too big so it's not a good choice as a set for me.
Hey queer girl straight skates ,can you please do a review on the ROCES Piper quad roller skates there aren't many resources about them and their quality
I kinda unlocked crossovers recently but when I do it I always seem to lose speed really fast and I don't know how to do crossovers continuously without losing speed and stopping? Do you have any advice for that?

Thanks Rebel and loooove the colourcombo of your skates😍
This was hella validating-thank you!
Really carefully explained thank you.
Thank you for this video🥰Happy New year
that's one of the skills I want to learn this new year
I started figure skating first, rollerblading next, and now I'm learning the quads and I feel like I'm taking ice lessons again lol. Great video.

Excellent breakdown!
This was so helpful thank you can you do a review on c7 roller skates please
I know this doesn't apply to the video, but can one skate on wet ground? If the ground is wet outside should you not skate on it or is it fine?

Love skating in the rain but ofc bearings will need to be dried afterwards ofc it’s a risk like the other comment said :)
Out of curiosity, how do you like your sunlite plates? Thinking of using them on custom doc martens to skates conversion.

I will learn how to crossover in 2022 🤣🙌🏼
UPDATE!!!: ITS BEEN 7 MONTHS & I FINALLY LEARNED HOW TO CROSSOVER 😂❤️ shoutout to Rebel & this video 😆

Why aren't you showing how to do the balance on one leg that you mentioned?
Can only do crossovers right to left. I can't do crossovers left to right.
Cross overs get me points. Currently I have a bad habit called horse push. Why do you do cross overs?
Yeah. I tripped myself and fell sideways 😭😭😭
Don't worry, I fell well doing it in place instead of actually in motion😂
I don't know why, but I'm so scared of crossing over while moving. 😭
First 👍👍👍
