Y to make it complicated with idly rava, you can make it with normal rice. Soak rice with urad dal like any other dosa batter, and add ragi in it.

It isn't wrong...there are different ways to make idli. Even the normal rice idlis are prepared using different methods 🙄🙄🙄😃
1 cup udad dhal + 2 cup ragi . Soak overnight and grind it to idli pasre consistency. If not fermented keep in fridge for a day and use it.
I would say both are good, it's on person to person choice 👍
