That analogy isn’t really relevant. Third party companies actually brought Disney money because a big majority of our clientele couldn’t afford a Disney tour guide so they would just do the parks on their own. We are encouraging Disney reservations, staying on property and creating extra magic and taking stress off of them that make the families want to come back more. Plus we couldn’t offer everything a Disney vip can like guaranteeing every ride, back stage access, etc.
It seems like Disney needs to create an accreditation process for TPTG companies to get vetted and approved to offer services. This would include a thorough screening and background check. I doubt Disney has much incentive to approve TPTG vendors, however, since they can charge so much more for VIP tours. If there are 99 outstanding TPTGs and one bad apple taking shortcuts and giving a bad experience, Disney will likely hear about it and take action. It seems like this is what they have done.
Can I help with getting the item? And I have my degree in film and the way they teach to stop saying um is to write a script and study it. That should help you to stay focused on what you’re saying
Thank you that is so kind to offer! My dad works for Disney so I am going to have him try and go find it, hopefully he picks up the right thing haha. That tip is great though I’ve talked to other people who read from a prompt when recording their videos but with this one I just was speaking whatever came to me
I definitely think as an employee versus a company owner, you should be unbanned and given a stern warning you cannot operate or function as an employee of any outside business inside Disney property. There are a lot of terms we all accept either using a park ticket or entering Disney property in general. Over the past year a lot of those terms that weren't enforced have been enforced more and more. I did expect the third party guide enforcement to eventually come. But I don't think someone like you should be lifetime banned or instantly banned without warning.
Thank you and that is my biggest frustration with this whole situation is that there was no warning given at all for something they’ve allowed for 25 years. They are a private company and I fully understand they can do what they want. I am just praying I get an opportunity for someone to hear me out. My brothers and 4 year old nephew are coming next month and I can’t even go to the parks or even Disney springs with them and it is just absolutely crushing me
Hi Rachel, Are you aligning with some of the other tour guides? Sometimes just having others that can fully relate can help mentally. Right now there are a growing number of channels exposing how Disney as a company is failing its core consumers. As such a few might find your situation interesting and would mention it on a video. One such channel is "Clownfish TV". Another consideration is to use UA-cam's algorithm and use titles that might get picked in more searches (i.e. "Disney is now putting people out of work!" or "Why is Disney now banning independent workers in Florida?" ). Curiosity is a thing. Let me know if you need more channels etc.
Yes I have been communicating with other guides and it definitely helps talking to people who are going through the same thing and understand. Thank you so much for the tips and yes if you have any other channels who might be interested in speaking about it please let me know!
Imagine a poster coming on to your sight offering 3rd Party Tours at a cheaper price than you do. Would you block that poster? 🤔
