Even though some may argue that an empty apartment is a lot easier to design but it's your attention to details to your 'client's' likes and personality plus the immaculate mixing and matching of old and new and still keeping everything under a decent budget that impresses!

After watching, honestly you did good. He really did have a good open space apartment to work with. I like how you didn’t buy overly big furniture so that even with the pieces you did buy, they weren’t ytoo big. You still had room to be comfortable and not feel closed in. The only critique I would say is when you’re doing makeover’s for men…try to stick with one bold dark (brown…black…brown…army green) color for your couch and give it a warm feel with a nice accent piece. You had some very nice pieces ( bar, tv console, chest…) in my opinion they would have stood out a tad bit more with the right color tone against them. But overall you did good.
Although I would have preferred the sofa and coffee table to have legs, the renovations have been beautifully done. The transformation is simply stunning.

Great job! I love the "off-the-wall" design, the color scheme of warm and cool neutrals, the textures of nubbly fabrics and smooth leather, the balance in the room. One suggestion for a small change: perhaps break up that row of three blocks (white couch extension, black coffee table, caramel ottoman) with an organically shaped coffee table instead.
