I saw this all the time when I attended Stanford University. So many of our black female contemporaries would go to the surrounding hood areas to date a Pookie rather than a fellow university student.
This is hilarious because i live in Palo Alto, less than 10 minutes from Stanford. I dated a chick that i thought was a virgin for 2 years. She may have been but im not sure now. Back in the late 80's there was alot of proBlack, Asiatic Black Man, etc. Rap music. I think that the Powers that Be decided that this was too much. And the next thing you know Gangsta Rap blew up. It was no coincidence. Dead Prez can't even get a Ham Sandwich.

It’s a product of the media we are fed. Black tv, movies and music overwhelmingly tap into certain stereotypes that keep us behind. Thats why they are attached to Glocktavious.
Just because a plate of 💩 is placed on a table in front of you doesn't mean you have to eat it. I'm not eating 💩 just to fit into the community box with those who chose to eat it, and I reject those who feel I should by feeding it to me. I grew up in the Jets of Chi-Town, so IDGA💩 about the excuses people make.

@martinrandyd It's easy to say and not hard to do. I don't care how much I hear BW is God, I'm not accepting it. I don't like liver, no matter how it's cooked. The only time you accept things is when you want or like what you are getting. Force never works when one has freedom.
