When I met my man he said, I am accustomed to a certain lifestyle that he could keep up with. He did just that. I moved out of my custom built home into the home he purchased for us in a much higher income neighborhood. He continued to support my education and I now have three advanced degrees. We're building together, because my educational training allows me skills and abilities to bring us opportunities. His technical skills, physical abilities and wisdom allows us to carry them out. We compliment each other. He said I'm the only woman he could trust to build with. Stop thinking women with education have nothing to offer. I cook, but we go out to eat and he cooks too. House cleaning is done by a housekeeper, my white supervisor advised me to have someone come in and reduce unnecessary strife. It's worked out fine for us and we have more time to spend with each other. Everything isn't conventional. It's what works. My man is my confidant, my friend, my advisor and my emotional support. He's my nurse when I'm sick. He is my happy place and he knows that. He comes home to peace.
