They're catching on that people are looking to buy stuff that they can then sell for a profit. Op shops are getting pretty savvy, knowing what is in demand and what it can fetch in a specific market group. Vintage woollen blankets, like the one you bought, are pretty hot right now. There are dedicated woollen blanket Facebook groups for the super keen.
I love Op shopping!. I have 6 kiddo's and it's the cheapest way to clothe everyone as they grow so quickly. My eldest 3 have so much brand name clothes that have cost me so little. Love it !
Hey 👋 I'm from Sydney Australia and honestly love op shops.l have money but l can't get my head around paying so much money for stuff.Ive seen plain ass no logo no nothing white t-shirts in Myer for like 80 plus 🤷🤦🤨
My local Salvos has a special rack labeled dog blankets. Also Vinnies on Sydney Rd Campbellfield had a bin with blankets labelled dog blankets. We bought two from there last week, $2 each for waffle blankets.
Love the amber glass jars! I hope you washed the wool blanket on the woolwash cycle. If they "felt" in the washing machine they become stiff and horrible. FYI wool blankets new are quite pricey - I love the colour of yours. 😊
@Gee Vee if you give them a wash in wool wash or shampoo and then conditioner and don't rinse all the conditioner out they become silky and soft because they are essentially hair
Hi! It is a soup mug, not a coffee cup. Lol Well done, but in future please go slower w/o t h the camera, pick thing up and show us, particularly the old vintage staff. Cheers 👍
Just arrived in Sydney - in quarantine at the moment. So I am living through you right now. I hope in the 4 months that I am here, I can hit up all the vintage and take them back to EU. :) Cheers! 🍻
Hey Vicky! I only ever purchase these from the pet section, so they’re usually ripped or have holes in them. I would never spend that much money on a dog blanket that’s going to get chewed up 🤣 Thankyou for watching! 🥰
I find salvo s and vinis r getting really expensive now I find u get better prices at ya local church op shops also check out ya local recycling shop /tip shop
Op shops now are ridiculously expensive, due to pricing according to trend, brand, age etc. There not charity shops now, it's business. In my town, Kmart and Big W have items cheaper than our of shops.
@@Katieree its right next door to Roxy Kebab on Pascoe Vale Road .I go there frequently. Clothes are $2 each. They've been closed for a while due to covid.
I'm not sure where you're from but op shops in Australia are generally more expensive than those in the US. The prices of these items is quite typical.

I have definitely improved since then! Sorry!! 😅
Love from Punjab India 🇮🇳
Those places are ment to be realy cheap.. Defeats the whole purpose of having the store open for those who cant afford alot.
Unwatchable,,,,,,u spin the camera to fast ,,,
Over priced items. They are business not charity putting prices on blankets for $65. Instead to give the homeless ppl
You are moving too fast. It is all a blur and I’m feeling dizzy. You need to let us see the wares.
Thanks for the feedback Marley!
