😂 came to say this.
The bins are notorious for having broken glass scattered throughout- I mostly wear gloves to protect from that, though it can also be dirty.
And she knows the clothes she chose don't have anything of concern on them and she didn't get cut on possible broken objects
Shes not wearing gloves for the reason of it being used clothes but the fact that sometimes there iw broken glass and used underwear. 😅
sometimes stuff is wet and it is helpful to have a little barrier between your hands and the bin items.
What are the gloves for if you're gonna put the clothes on?
Idk ig going through the bins but it doesn’t really make sense if she’s gonna take them off😭

I love the outlet bins I got some lululemon yoga pants that I priced for originally $100 at the mall by my home for about 25 cent after it was weight with my other finds which amt to about $2.50 after taxes for 6 items. All gently used and name brands too. Love goodwill outlet!

@@Lifewjahnelleif you want Lulu, I suggest starting at your local thrift stores or Poshmark & eBay. The prices at Lulu are pretty painful. Buying pre-owned is the way to go! (imo)

🧑🏽There are two Goodwill Outlets in STL and I live about 10 miles away from one of them and have never set foot in it. I’ll try to visit soon and hopefully they have a few good finds.
They are so fun! Definitely hit or miss with great finds but worth a stop
* Wear gloves. Not sure about other GW Outlets (we call them the Bins) but sometimes there are knifes & broken glass.
* Bring a good pair of scissors. Sometimes what u want is tangled in yarn or other stuff.
* bring a water bottle
* Bring earbuds so that u can listen to something besides other ppl 😅
* Not necessary, but bring some batteries. The Bins I go to has a lot of items besides cloths & the batteries come in handy.
* I always bring my folding wagon to put my items in b/c the carts are usually taken.
I hope when you do go that you find amazing things! 😊

Anyone can go!! Find a goodwill outlet store near you by searching online. Goodwill’s websites list their locations, hours of operation, and if there are any special requirements.

Damn I need to go to one of these, the average thrift shops I used to love are now full of shien and forever 21 trash 😑. I think the damn resellers have taken all the good stuff in my area 🥲. I wish thrifting wasn’t trendy now. I used to find so much good stuff.

However, I don’t think resellers are the issue.
I think it’s the general shift that has occurred in fashion in the last decade. Most people no longer buy a couple of pieces of high quality clothes a couple of times a year. Instead people buy lower quality clothes many times a year (fast fashion). The number of fast fashion pieces donated to a thrift is growing with over consumption / micro trends.
I would blame this shift in society / cooperations rather than an individual trying to get by 🫶

I wouldn’t try any of that on! It gets dumped from peoples homes and it’s extremely risky not just from a disease standpoint but just filth. Please know I love what u thrifted on a personal note but please take the time to clean them then try them on. For your health! You can always show us at your house, you don’t have to film at goodwill!

It's the goodwill outlets, there are various ones. You pay by the pound, but there's no fitting rooms or any sort of racks , everything is in giant bins
