Started the video with headphones and thought to myself, "Wow, this audio quality is really good!". Then your caption popped on the screen. Amazing job!
Hi Joe, just wanted to make a video request that it would be awesome for someone to give great pointers on scrambling skills and even route finding when backpacking. This aspect still can intimidate when in very wild not well marked areas such as trail alternates and would always welcome discussions on this. Cheers!
Excellent!!! but h/ No Headphones! haha.. we're on the big screen and a real stereo over here hahaha.. yes, well done on the audio and video both / super sharp/ love Canyonlands thanks for taking us with you
Be on the lookout for flash floods! LOL. Back in the mid 1980s I went to Canyonlands for a 9 day Sierra Club backpacking trip. It was led by an anthropologist who showed us a lot of 'Anasazi' lore. Definitely an unforgettable experience.
Cool video of an awesome place. Thanks for the footage & music man..need to check that out for myself!. Can't wait to see the Great Sand dunes video. Cheers!
Wow and Wow again. This is definitely officially on my bucket list. Loved the video and all of the info too. When I watch your videos I do truly feel like I’m out there hiker along with you. I adventure vicariously through all of your posts. Thanks for always taking us along in such a cool manner.
Rad video Joe! I noticed at 3:40 you are wearing very long socks. I have switched to darn tough ultralight no show tab socks recently and really like them in my wild cat shoes and feel that anything longer is not needed, just add gaiters if required. Give them a try as they only weigh 28g because they are shorter, so you can get 2 pairs in your kit for less than a single longer length pair. They dry very fast too which is important to me, see if they have light cushion if you feel you need them which weigh 34g but I find the no cushion fine for my hiking needs. Cheers!
Whatever you did sound wise worked.very good.im a stills photography guy myself(b.t.w. sweet camera work too!)and know nothing abought sound work except when its not good.it can do a disservice to another wise excellent video.that is definitely not the caes hear.soild video all around.thanks for putting in the work.i enjoyed watching.
Canyonlands is a pretty awesome place! Checkout the "Joints" if you ever go back. Did you order up a back-stock of those Wildcats? I've been through two pairs, on your recommendation. They're getting harder for me to find. Haven't liked the look of the new version as much.
Has any type of critter ever woke you up while sleeping under a tarp? Aside from mosquitoes, I always worry about some animal sniffing in my ear or face. That would startle the hell out of me!
You sleep without any protection against bugs , snakes and scorpions? Aren´t you afraid of waking up having a snake in your sleepingbag? They like having it warm in the cold desert nights....
Dear Joe, have you ever fallen forward into a cactus and have it attached to both palms and one pectoral muscle/ nipple? I have. Don't be envious and hate.

Good to hear (pun intended). Thanks Daniel!
Great footage! couldn't help but notice a new quilt .. No UGQ or Myog on this trip?
I was using the UGQ this trip and my SO was using the MYOG one. They're both still going strong!

This is my last pair! I don't mind the new orange color so much so long as it functions the sama haha. I haven't tried them yet though.
Joint trail is fantastic! One of my top 5 hikes ever for sure!

It hasn't happened yet!

What tarps were you guys using?
I'm using a DIY 10.5' silnylon tarp and MeHap is using a Yama Dyneema tarp.

Hahaha, can't say I've had that happen.
I turned off the screen and just listened to the audio, which is far superior to the substandard video.
