- Battle was about to come to the narrow sea as the green council's play comes to reality with the ships of The Triarchy bringing death and destruction to the narrow sea. Dragonstone would remain untouched but the home of House Velaryon on Driftmark would not meet the same fate. With Rhaenrya still mourning the loss of her unborn child, it fell to her eldest son and heir Jacaerys Velaryon to lead the defense, no one could doubt the boy's bravery, but it would not help him escape his fate.
The Dance Of The Dragons will be the focus of the plot of the new HBO spin-off House Of The Dragon coming in 2022. So if you want to learn the story before we see HBO's take on it then this will be a very long-running series. Game Of Thrones / House of the dragon are HBO shows based on Geroge R R Martins A Song Of Ice And Fire series. The information in this video comes from the books a world of ice and fire as well as fire and blood.

Ironically, the Battle of the Gullet was probably Otto’s greatest achievement and the Green’s biggest victory. Rhaenyra’s heir and a capable leader was killed, the Blacks lost another dragon, the Velaryons lost their wealth and and a huge portion of their fleet, and the Triarchy ultimately collapsed. All while the Greens didn’t lose any Westerosi forces.
RIP Jace, he went out on dragonback like his brother. Sucks what happened to little Aegon. This traumatized him and shaped how the rest of his life played out.

They definitely had a lot to offer. Jace would have been a great king but I think his power would never be secure. There would always be a divide and those who doubt his parentage which is fair enough the evidence does not look great. Regardless he had the makings of o Jaehaerys or Aegon I level king

Cregan stark isn’t exactly the best character witness. Man did the absolute least for his allies, and just waited until the situation was the most profitable to show up. How much could he have really cared for Jace when he doesn’t march till well after his death? This man didn’t March till 131 AC for gods sakes.

i find it ironic how alicent who was all about womanhood and family raise her children terribly (one a drunk, another a psycopath, and another married to said drunk (daeron seemed fine but he was raised away from alicent). In the meantime all of rhaenyra's children turned out perfect
The story is balanced almost perfectly where each faction doesn't have a definitely moral high ground. I love that. It's very tit for tat.
Perfect those bastards took aemonds eye usurped driftmark from house valeryon aegon is drunk but he refuced the throne first he became king for his family , aemond lost his eye so he wants revenge they did nothing wrong
@@debamlyabanerjee4067 Corlys Velaryon wanted Lucerys to succeed him as Lord of Driftmark. He knew Luke was a bastard but Corlys wanted Luke to follow in his footsteps. That's up to Lord Corlys, if he wants to put his adopted grandson on the Driftwood throne. Plus Luke died in the end, he never got to be Lord of the Tides. So nothing was stolen from the Velaryons. And even if he did live through the war, and became the Lord of the Tides, he would have married Rhena and had children with her. Thus, Luke and Rhena's children would have Velaryon blood from from their mother and would take the Velaryon name from the father. Making them Velaryons. As to Aemond losing his eye, that was a mistake. He didn't join the fight just to take Aemond's eye. He reacted on instinct to save his brothers life. If someone toke your eye by mistake in a fight, would you take their eye as payment on a debt for losing your eye.

We have all rhanyra's strong boys, his boys with daemon were also good but that's not much related to this story, then we have baela, rhaena, adam of hull, alyn of hull, kermit tully, Oscar tully, bloody ben, etc.

Saved his life? He’s the most valuable political captive in the setting. He’d have been fine.
They will probably add Rhaenyra in way more war scenarios, that's cool and imo this battle would be perfect, It would be so sad but imagine her loosing another son just in front of her eyes

To be honest I think the moral of the dance is no one walked away winning abs everyone lost. Houses lost influence and the crown itself was damaged, but I do think House Velaryon lost more than most
Agreed, the only major player who walked away almost unharmed was house Hightower.

@@happycake2234 not really if u are talking personally about alicent she got her due yes rhaynera may have died but she and daemon left behind a legacy not a great one but still a legacy unlike cough cough alicent who loses all her family and children and dies alone which is great revenge from rhaynera.
This is one death that I would be okay with them altering

That fool died dispite having 5 dragons
He died because he dived too low and Vermax was still young. A much larger and older dragon wouldn’t have gotten tangled or gotten caught by the graphook.
He was a fool for showing up anyways on his small ass dragon that isn’t ready for war yet. They had 5 with them they def didn’t need Vermax at all

The wealth of drift mark should have been moved to dragon stone along with most of the women and children. Also, they should have attacked the triarchy with their ships first and dragons once it their fleet was softened. Vermithor was enough if anything.

trusting them in any capacity was always gonna be a risk but at least your way gets them out the way

Bro you're the only one that knows how to make the ads not skippable. There is a way you can skip ads that people dont know about, and all your videos dont allow it.
In the bottom left there is i with a O around it, you click that, hit stop seeing ad, click why, then close and bam ad skippped, in 2 seconds, before the skip option even comes up. Or instead of waiting. But your videos don't give that option. Drives me nuts! But atleast you're getting your $

@@WorldOfWesteros so the normal skip I could do where there's a countdown and then it tells you after 5 or 10 seconds to skip that's fine but I have another way where you could skip it that a lot of people don't know about and you hit that little circle in the bottom left and you could kind of bypass the ad before it even gives you the chance to skip and I figured you somehow bypassed that to you know collect the most Revenue off the ad because you can't skip it could be just a coincidence that it happens on your Channel other major channels like major msm or something like thar it's the same thing for theirs too.
But also most of them don't even have the skip like after the countdown you just have to wait the 15 seconds and then maybe the second ad will have the the skip but like I said there's a way you could bypass it that a lot of people don't know about what that little circle with the i (i) in the middle by clicking that and bypassing it but I can't do that on any of your ads which is fine cuz I don't think you're supposed to be doing that anyway

It's sad but well written, how the targeryan' s only death & downfall lead to the drama in the original series., as dragons & 🐉 targaryan warriors can't be alive in the GOT world.

Obviously, it’s tragic enough when most people die but I’ve always been an animal person. Imagining and seeing how these dragons meet their end is like a punch to the gut.
No worries the series will change from the books. The one that die maybe survive.

@@applemathe3209 sunshine, Jace has to die, his body was found in the books. Every Targ dies with the exception of Aegon III and Viserys II. Their deaths can't be altered. Just like Rhenyera will get eaten by a dragon because it was witnessed by pretty much every Lord of the major and minor houses.

Where’s Daemon when you need him😤? He wasn’t in that fight over the Gullet… inexcusable! That’s a mistake for the Blacks. Caraxes is probably the most deadliest dragon by experience, speed/ agility, power. Vermax inexperience and goofiness ultimately got him and Jace killed.
Of the course the dragon seeds were out there too fighting but Jace was the greatest loss at this stage. He didn’t have to be out there for them to win that battle. Who’s making their decisions 😤 they took too many L’s even though they actually Won that battle 😅😢.

most of the comments are talking about house velaryon, which is another house (along with house targaryen) who hailed from old valyria, however they are not dragonriders. the velaryons are still valyrians. the names are too similar so i understand the confusion 😂
House name is velaryon.

What? No...Corlis fought the Triarchy in the battle of the Stepstones years before...he wasnt aligned with them at all. The Triarchy fleet were aligned with the Greens, who Corlis hadn't joined at that point.

GRRM really gave some bad anticlimactic deaths to some Targeryans like Jacerys and also Daeron whose death felt so random.

It's often happens in Martin's world. Like i said even in this story and others like
Aemon ( son of jahaerys and previous rider of the dragon caraxes ) died shoot by one of the assassination who tried to kill Lord tarth .he doesn't even know whom he killed. His dragon caraxes was eating goats nearby. And after some years baelon the brave ( rider of vhagar) his brother died of burst belly. And what about Robert baratheon - one hell of a warrior who takes iron Throne almost ends the mighty house and killed one of the best targeryen warrior - rhaegar. And many many others knights as well killed by a boar. There are many characters who died that way.

Jacearys has a most boring death and I was expecting something more.
I actually hope they keep Jacaerys alive in the show. It doesn’t make sense for Rhaenerya to loose 3 of her children while Allicent looses none, considering the focus the show has placed on them.
If Jac survives, its a bad story telling and not true to the books

Jace has to die so Rhaenyra's kids with Damon (Targaryens from both sides) take the throne further in the story which is a mayor plot point.
Jace will be a main focus on s2 but they will def kill him in ep 9/10
