- Ted and Nick take out the facelifted B9 S4 and enjoy its focus on luxury and comfort. Yeah sure its fast, but it's definitely no sports car. The 340i is a better performer and the C43 has a more entertaining engine. That said, if there is any car we'd want to commute 200 miles a day in...it might be this. The interior is best in class and this motor tuned is ridiculous. More on that in the next year perhaps...

Beautiful car. I will admit to liking the BMW 3 exterior looks better but interior wise it’s the Audi. And to me the ZF8 is the way to go over any DSG. Just something about that transmission.
Yeah it’s probably the perfect transmission for a more daily oriented car. I think I prefer it too, but I also can’t put my finger on it exactly
I have the Audi S4 , and I myself was looking into the M340I but I eventually went with the S4… It’s elegant and slight comestics has gotten me so many compliments, and not to mention With a stage 1 Tune this car dipped into the mid/ low levels in the 1/4 Mile.
It’s unreal how much power they make with even a stage 1 tune! So moddable

I just got an s5 2018. Agree with you. But I think I can fix it with rear sway bar upgrade, front strut bars, and some toe camber adjustments. But yes, I don't need the most sportiest car. Dynamic dampers help a lot also.

Sadly soon all combustion cars and trucks including classics will be banned from public streets in entire EU and Scandinavia :-(
In Germany the Green Peoples Party gave order to shorten fuel supply from 2025
on by reducing all conventional fuel stations to only one state operated central gas station per city or county. Car washs will be forbidden too because they are climate killers, now they want to slow down all the gas station pumps from 20 litre per minute to 2 litre per minute...From 2027 on in the EU certain car spare parts will be banned too....as exhaust systems, turbo chargers and even some engine and gearbox oils...California and New York will do the same from 2027 on.... So no investments should be done in oil burning cars any longer....They even created a new kind of crime here, called emissions and smoke crime.!!! (BABVVEN & TEBBVEN & BEFVO laws)!!!!!!!!!!
Sorry but it’s not even close to the M340 , I drove both and the BM will smoke this S4 to dust !
Agreed, the B58 in the M340 is a killer engine and generally the BMW faster and more dynamic (sub 4.1 to 60 mph with xDrive in the M340 vs 4.4 I think in the S4). Our argument wasn’t that it was a better performer, more so that it’s a better daily driver for the money given the S4 has standard Quattro for just under $54k and the M340i with xDrive is just under $60k. We think the interior is nicer, the tech is much better, it’s more comfortable, and slightly better in the snow. That said, if it was about performance-totally agree that the M340 has the S4 securely beat! They are both pretty sweet.
