When a plan doesn’t go to plan, got trapped on my way into a new creek and had to improvise. Turned out to be not so bad, I wanted a mangrove jack, got that and heaps more!
Hey legend, have you tried the gosen 16 ply casting braid? I have been using it on the Calcutta SE and BFS recently and I can say it's definitely the best braid I have used. It lays flatter on the spool,Casts unreal, manged to pull jacks out of oyster rocks on the pe.8 which is rated at 20lb breaking strain with minimal damage to the braid. The downside is it only comes in 150m but it's pretty nuts quality dude...
@@Micksgonefishing Definitely makes a difference on the bait caster. Price Point is Steep though. You might be able to get a spool from anglers warehouse, or the next time you are down for AFTA 😎

Max braid would be a pe2 diameter which you’ll get 135m of on there. As for the rod, it depends what you’ll be using it for, I run a 702c champion extreme and have done for the last 5 years. Amazing all rounder!!
