Resistant starch is soooooo good for the gut microbiota! I love overnight oats (although I do warm them up just a tiny bit so it's not stone cold 🤫 Hopefully, that doesn't destroy too much of the lovely RS!), but there are other ways to get it in your diet! It's found in overnight oats, green(er) bananas and plantains, cooked and cooled rice (think: sushi), cooked and cooled potatoes (think: cold potato salad), lentils, and beans.
How does this affect someone who's recovering from Ulcerative Colitis?? A video on diet, habit and lifestyle for people with ulcerative colitis would be really appreciated.

I have this most days and prepare 3 to 4 portions in advance in individual portion glass jars. My favourite mixture: 1 ripe mashed banana 5 tablesppons raw gluten free oats 1 tablespoon chia seeds 1 tablespoon ground flaxmeal 1 dried prune chopped 1 medjool date soaked 7 Black raisins Add water and mix well. Put in the fridge. Next day before eating, I add chopped up ftesh fruit and some sundried mulberries or toasted coconut. Enjoy!
@@aparnaroy8814 you don't have to. You can eat this anytime of the day, just take it out of the fridge several hours before if you don't want it so cold.

I love these. Sadly in Egypt the cost of oats has skyrocketed. It's hard to justify the cost when ur on a low income.

Depends how warm your home is. If your home is cool they are fine outside. But if it's warm, or in summer, it's best to refrigerate

Why do we need to refrigerate. Can it not be left outside. It is not good to eat cold food
