What a impressive Masterpiece!
Great Job!
your skills are perfect bro.
greetings from Indonesia 🇮🇩
Thank you
Great video..
Excellent jobs
Appreciate you
Hey, thanks for creating such awesome content.
Can you share tips on how to find and buy screens that support ic chip replacement?
Thank you!
Thank you.
Unfortunately no, I buy my parts from a local supplier or buy from an original iCloud locked phone parts.
What screwdriver are you using?
Nicely videos ❤️
Can we fix truetone after ic transplant on iPhone 12
I watched this to help me repair my phone. I was happy replacing the screen but there is no way any normal person could or should attempt the chip bit. Like rocket science, need specialist equipment, fluids, various metals and of course expertise. You probably need to slow the film down and talk us through the various stages of this. Great job though.
Exactly! Can we have a procedure that a normal person can attempt without needing an electrical engineering degree? I’m very serious. Thanks
there is no other simple way to do this. This is how is it is for micro soldering
@@tinkernoniyou don’t need a degree for this, a degree is way harder
Excellent skills 👍
Thank you 😊
Вітаю, я так зрозумів щоб перенести Truetone потрібно спочтаку програматором перенести, а потім паяти мікросхему? Бо я перепаяв мікросхему з розбитого на новий, а Truetone немає.
Hi,
Thanks for this video.
So I tried out the drilingl methode to pull out the ic chip of the new screen but failed.
I am quite confused it seems to be that the layers of the chip in the video doesn't match up with what I saw during the drilling. its like there are some filters/capacitors inside the chip ??
Hello, yes this chip actually has 4 chips inside if I am not wrong.
2 controller chips and 2 EEPROM chips.
if the layers don't match then it could be that the chip you have is some kind of none original chip.
All the original chips that I drill are the same 100%.
Great video instructions, also can you tell me the best heat proof tape to use BGA tape or Aluminum Tape. Many Thanks
I would recommend BGA thermal tape as there is many videos out there of people proved to be the case.
Very good
Brother i want to change i12 ic
There are 2 ic
1 is on tuch pad
And other one is on display wich one I have to change?
It’s the same LCD so it’s the same chip!
Do you replace it with original lcd or aftermarket? If its from aftermarket, tell me what brand lcd that support chip transplant. Thx so much
Hi, most of the LCDs for iPhone 12's it's an original from iCloud phones.
even if the LCDs are aftermarket I don't know what brand as I am from Ukraine and we limit to the parts we have here.
@@iTouch-repair ok bro thanks for explain.. and pray for your land. We hope war is over.
Awesome video bud! btw what's the brown tape that you are using on Min 10.33 called?
Hi, just added the link in the description
@@iTouch-repair you da best 🙏🏼
Does placing the original ic on the new display enable the true tone function?
No
To enable True Tone you just need to buy a normal display reprogrammer
How long did it take you to physically take off the chip and clean the area?
Hi, around 15 minutes
Good video. Music is way too distracting.
If you dont swap IC will everything be ok ? Apart from Display message ! Thanks
Everything will work ok
hello friend what references and brand is the tape, thanks

Does True Tone also work without programming anything?
Unfortunately, no

What temperature do you use to desoldering the original chip?
it depends on the hot air station.
you need to know your hot air station to understand the different soldering pastes and their temperatures.
@@iTouch-repair Thanks! And this works on a OEM Quality lcd?
@@yamasmsh hello, yes it works on original and refurbished and best quality LCD’s.
I am very grateful, sorry to be annoying, but just the last question, when you remove the ic from the screen with the grinder, how do you know that you have reached the end and there is no more to polish?
@@yamasmsh that’s ok, you can ask anything.
Regarding the chip layers, as you can see in the video I didn’t edit the part where I grind the chip so you can know where to stop.
Basically when you start to see the soldering pads in a bronze(copper color) then you know that you’ve reached the pads and start grinding slowly.
hi bro, after this chip transplant, does the face id will work again or not? thanks
Hi, the Face ID still works after the chip replacement.
Sorry friend: does it work with in-cell screens? Thx and great job.
PS: Why didn’t you desolder the chip also on the new screen? Why did u use the tool to drill??
Hi, what do you mean by in-cell screen?
As for the drilling techniques, it’s because when heating the flex cable you can damage the layers of the flex cable it self and it can bent the flex which leads to a very high chance for the new chip to to be soldered evenly.
@@iTouch-repair I mean there’s at least 3 different quality of screens. One of them are in-cell screens. Yesterday i was about to do training on a 11 and the supposed chip was only a bracket covering a totally different electrical system. It wasn’t a chip, so, I believe that was a incell screen. It was very odd. That’s what lead me into your video. About the drilling: but u do that on the new screen or on the old one which you are taking the good chip from? I believe it’s on the new screen, because you need to have the original chip from the old screen on good condition. Thx for answering.
@@nepereiralage thanks for the explanation.
So yes if the screen is very Chinese 😅 then it’s impossible to solder the old chip on it.
But there is better quality screens that are able to be soldered on the old chip.
As for the video, yes I drill the chip on the new screen and remove the chip from the old screen which contains the information of the True Tone.
@@iTouch-repair well for True Tone I have icopy plus. The objective is to remove the annoying message. Thx for your time and answers. Will subscribe.
@@nepereiralage Sorry for the misguiding answer.
I meant to say this method is to remove the non-genuine parts error.
Where can I get the soldering paste??
Hello, here is the link to the soldering paste.
chose the 138 degrees one.

Hello, sir,
I want to ask, before I replaced my iPhone 12 pro IC, the touch screen was safe to use, after I replaced the IC with a new LCD to get rid of notifications, why didn't my touch screen work? what is the effect of default IC? the problem is the original LCD touchscreen also doesn't work
Hello, the chip is a touch screen chip, if you remove the chip the touch won’t work, and if on the new screen also doesn’t work then you didn’t solder the chip well.
@@user-ly6qk9jn5j did you solder back the chip on the original screen?
What are the heat resistants you use in both grinding the chip and placing the chip back on?
0 grinding, 160ish putting on
Great video but why not just remove the new IC with heat instead of grinding down?
because you can damage the flex cable and the pads by over heating
i did the same process but my True Tone Option disappeared after doing this. Please help . Do we need to restore the True Tone function ?
The True Tone should disappear.
This operation is only to remove the important display message.
To restore the True Tone you need a programmer that as far as I know doesn’t exist yet.
@@iTouch-repair Qianli iCopy 2.2 ! I have ordered! I ll update once i get it !
@@instafix4561 fake, there is no programmer still on The World.
Does this also restore True Tone?
Unfortunately no
@@iTouch-repair Have you tried transferring both chips present on the iPhone 12 Pro screen ? Would that help restoring True Tone?
Can’t I just use the quianli programmer? And will Face ID and True Tone work after that?
This procedure is only to remove the important display message.
Unfortunately as far as I know there is no programmer to remove that message.
As for the Face ID it will work.
@@iTouch-repair hi! Without transfer the that specific eeprom Face ID will not work as well, That’s what you’re writing? Or it’s just for only annoying display error message?
Thanks
@@michaelmelech842 hi, if I am not mistaken this chip in the iPhone 12 series is only for the important display message but, in the later models it’s also responsible for the Face ID as well.
@@iTouch-repair later Modells you mean i13 Modells?
I just now discovered that a customer on 12pro lost all cameras, flashlight and Face ID !! probably because of a badly damaged display! I like your professionalism!
здравствуйте я работаю узбекистане у меня тоже такой проблема можете помочь?
This looks terrifying to do as an amateur. I think I’ll leave this to a professional 🤣
This is honestly disgraceful. You need to LITERALLY CNC THE CHIP OFF in order for your iPhone to work correctly
do you offer the display chip swap SERVICE for a fee? I want to send you my lcd for a chip swap. please give me details. thanks
Hi, yes I offer such a service.
Contact me on Facebook. Link in the description.
why drill and not just heat and take off the chip?
Because, it could damage the flex cable and the screen as the original solder has higher temperature melting point.
is possible to remove old chip without driling?
What’s your other option?
@@iTouch-repair heat?
@@same1135 for the iPhone 12/12Pro you can try but, the flex is really fragile and also you are gonna do a lot of painting masking the flex afterwards.
해보니까 진짜 어려움. 역시 기술자들은 괜히 기술자가 아닌 듯.. 열풍기도 있고 다 똑같이 따라하는데 칩이 정말 안떨어짐..
its not a lcd it uses oled technology for the displays since iPhone 11 Pro
you mean....damaged OLED
can't we just reprograme the new lcd with icopy or something like that
Unfortunately no, there is no programmer for the newer iPhones at the moment.
This process is only to remove the important display message and to restore the True Tone you need a programmer.
Because the True Tone is in the touch chip on the screen not the chip that was replaced in the video (it’s the LCD chip)
why cant you just remove the chip by heating it up, why did you drill it?
You will damage the flex
Isn't that an oled? You keep calling it an lcd
It’s an OLED, I call it LCD just a force of habit 😅
Temperature Heater °C?
Each hot air station has it’s own temperature calibration but, I am using a low temperature soldering paste (148c) so you can use lower temperature to solder the chip without damaging the screen.
