Welcome to Apple's locked parts policy/scam. The mere fact that you have to do this craziness just to replace a screen and other parts, is the #1 reason I would never use an iPhone, period. smh
Hello 👋 i have a question Context: i have a full time job and i do this as a hobby because i really like it, i learned from UA-cam and breaking my own stuff I help people in my job with tech but i just charge them like 15-30 bucks plus the part. I was wondering how much legitimately this job you did in this video would normally cost? Thanks in advance
I still don't do that. How is it possible to unstick the cable? Sometimes I solder on the side and sometimes I wrap the screen with foil. What solder did you use for rolling the layer?I solder the cable with rose alloy. And then I solder
I don't like to criticize your videos because your are probably one of the best in iPhone repair/board and you did provide my business a lots of useful contents over the years... Although the chip grinder is useless, it took you less time to remove the old chip from the old screen with the heat gun than grinding so you could have just use the heatsink on the new screen and remove the ic, this is what i do and it is faster and less messy with the dust.
@@bellslinki No heatsink needed you just have to unfold the flex on the side, when the flex is unfold you put aluminum foil over the screen... For newer iPhones you can't totally unfold the flex on the bottom so just lift the flex and put 2 or 3 sheets of aluminum foil under the flex before heating of course.
Hey Ben! What temperature you are using to remove and install the IC? Go ahead and make a video of screw removal. I have my own ways, but it's interesting for me to see if your ways are easier than mine :)
Could you please show us the temperatures needed for the heat gun and soldering iron? Also, I am not 100 percent sure what type of reball paste and flux to use. I am new to board level repairs. Thanks
The temperature is relative on how fast you work, if you work slow too much temperature will damage something so 280 to 320 celcius, higher if your are fast, for cleaning the chip with chemwick i go for 380 celcius.... For flux i recommend Amtech NC-559 its a way to go for everything and solder paste Mechanic XGSP50 its a good and cheap product, i do use Chipquik SMD291AX but this is more expensive for the quantity and it does the same thing (keep the solder paste in cold temp in a fridg or it will turn bad over the time). Hope it help
can the camera id especially the front camera module be copied to the new camera module? or how to fix the blurry front camera iphone XR without replacing it with a new module, tq.
After performing ic chip swap onto aftermarket screen, will this cause the phone to drain? I did several ic chip swaps and the phones drain to 80% overnight
Hi Ben, I went to order the machine, but there's 2 issues - it seems like there's no option for delivery to Bulgaria and also I can't shop without VAT even with my VAT number added. Cheers.
Well, you got lucky, to me they said that I would need a VAT number, that I cannot buy. So, what's the purpose of the videos showing all the new materials?? Keep up the nice work. 👍

If you remove the warning that Apple enforce upon its customers devices then; 1)The customer pays more as more time and skill required to completed a fairly pointless task. 2) Why not show the message as a badge of dishonesty by Apple and other manufacturers? The customer should be informed of why they are doing this, how little it affects their screen or batt or cameras ability to do its job and. 3) This is the road to the future and do we really want to be a part of it? Be proud that you can see through the lengths that Apple and followers will go to in order to fool their customers and open their eyes up to the world of shady practices these companies will sink to in order to rip their customers off. Just a thought.
That’s wrong. It’s cheap for a grinding machine and without eeprom you can’t test screens before. And if you have a used, original screen it’s always good to have that grinder !

If the original chip can be unsoldered why do you have to grind off the other chip?
Where do you get those refurb screens?
Why you can't just remove the ic with hot gun, like you do with the old screen?
Have you found the answer for this yet?
Awesome superb job done
Dr Ben is back with new iphone solution 🤗..Dr Ben please make videos on andriod repair solutions.....

you'd damage the new screen with the heat

Depend on the screen quality (highest quality or original is highly recommended)

Not possible with tag on here.

Does the truetone programmer do the same thing or not? Thank you
No, it doesn’t.
@@RESQREPAIR Thank you. Very cool tool and satisfying process.
Why you don't reprogram that chip granted off is easy and saving time if you buy reprogramming tool
...tell more please!
Why do you have to grind the chip? Can’t you just heat it up and take it off like the original screen
Exactly
because they want to sell some Maschine🤓
Because the heat can supposedly damage the new screen, and they don't want to take that chance,
Also you don't need the machine i use a Dremel lol
Safer this way because heat can invite unwanted damage
