You might wonder where the tag-on solder pads are. There is none on a OEM screen. The jokes on the one who soldered the Touch IC to a Tag-on flex with no where to put it.
Will the iPhone 15 Pro Max, 15 Pro, 15 work without the IC chip? I know it restores true tone (touch calibrations) and gets rid of "Unrecognized Part pop-up" but is it mandatory to keep the screens touch functioning or keep from black screening? What about the iPhone 14, 14 Plus, 14 Pro, and 14 Pro Max? I ask because I've been given the impression it should, even MobileSentrix support told me it would work without it just continue getting pop-up message and no true tone. No other issues (specifically on 14 Plus). Here's my story: I had an iPhone 14 Plus brought to me and installed an aftermarket AQ7 screen from Mobile Sentrix without transferring the IC chip from the original screen. It worked for a day, but then the screen went completely black. I could still feel vibrations when flipping the loud/vibration switch, so the phone was still on, but the screen had no picture. I took the screen off and put the original back on, but left Face ID unplugged. This caused power issues, with the phone powering on and off by itself every 2 minutes. Once I plugged Face ID back in, everything started working fine with the old screen. It seems to be that I got just a bad screen unless it was the IC so Mobile Sentrix is sending a replacement AQ7 screen. I don’t plan on transferring the IC chip (I never have on previous iPhone repairs, usually 12s and 11s but I've done almost all kinds of iPhones new and old with your AQ7 and XO7 screens without any issues and I nearly never transfer IC chips since my soldering iron broke in December). Will the new aftermarket screen they’re sending likely work?
@@MacrepairOsloI rarely have bad screens from MobileSentrix even there AQ7 and XO7 LCDs. I have 2 over my years doing it. they’ve been very reliable. But i’ve never bought there plain AM ones so can’t speak for those

That was super helpful thank you
Could u share all ur temps for each step by chance? Hot air temp/Speed and also Solder iron temp as well? Thanks in advance.
he did... did you watch the vid?
Is the screen covered by warranty if I solder the IC chip?
Thats so cool. You do awesome work.
great job ... this method wii keep true tone also?
thanx friend
To keep true tone you will need the programmer before the ic swap
Does face id work after?
I wonder if this new lcd would turn on and work without soldering the original ic? I’d like to test new lcd prior modification.
Yes, it works. IC is optional for remove POP UP message.
if i dont want to damage the screen how should i do it?
Isolate the flex away from the display using a metal sheet and Kapton Tape.

I had almost all of their own brand LCDs fail immediately or after a couple of weeks
They sell faulty products
