It was my pleasure to include that in the live stream! I did a little bit of research about him before we completed volume three, and I had no idea that he was a part of so many things from back in the day. I never got into red versus blue but I knew what it was and to know that he was behind that just shows how much of an amazing spirit he was. I wish I would have been into his shows more when they were first out but it wasn’t accessible to me at the time.
I can tell this man was an amazing spirit. He left such an amazing legacy and Fanbase that will talk about him forever. He impacted so many lives and I feel like that is what life is intended for 🖤

Probably my favourite Monty Oum quote is actually this:

Weiss' songs are really beautiful and help to hempatyze with her character. In general, all songs tell us some hidden emotions or background about every character, but Weiss' songs are one step above the other. Maybe because she's the only character that actually sing her songs by herself (white trailer), or because we can see her character development more than any other character.
"This life is mine" is a masterpiece, can't wait for your reaction!

Coming back after the V9 reaction videos mostly to relive the reaction to Divide... Man, Casey was so spot on with Salem's entire plan for in that song. This was only V3's soundtrack too. Monty must have had her entire plan outlined because everything in this song was spot on. Casey literally told us what Salem was going to do and at the time, we all dismissed it as just a very good villain's song.
fun fact they just announced a full Conon adjacent animie adaptation for the show. it looks like it will be centered around Weiss
I'm so excited about it but also incredibly sad b/c the article sounded like none of the OST will be in the anime. I'm sure they will do an amazing job with the animations and adaption of the story in their own way but I can't help but feel like the music is a big part of the show.

In case you didn't know, "When It Falls" is a Cinder song, sung from her perspective. It really showcases the abject burning hatred at the core of her being, and her desire to cause pain and suffering to everyone in the world. This song is essentially Cinder singing about how she is going to win and make mankind pay for the injustices that they commit, both towards her and in general.
*_"The blinding eyes that burn a yellow flame, the embers that remain will light fuse of condemnation"_* -- of course referring to Cinder's own burning yellow eyes (especially when her Maiden powers are activated), and how she will be the one to burn everyone down and expose their wrongdoings.
*_"This is not a tragedy, it's not an accident,"_* -- as you appear to have guessed, these are the exact words that Cinder spoke in her speech to the world in Volume 3, Chapter 9. The next few lyrics show Cinder going to condemn the *_"fools"_* that are Remnant's leaders (Ozpin, Ironwood, kingdom governments, etc.), as well as condemn the people who support and *_"place [their] faith in"_* them to begin with.
*_"Their iron gloves point fingers, they'll wage a war of blame. And mankind will wilt... in... PAIN."_* -- *_"Iron gloves"_* obviously being another quote from Cinder's Volume 3 speech, used here when she further criticises the behaviours and actions of mankind's leaders, and how their actions will ultimate bring mankind to ruin. Though that last sentence also has another meaning, in that Cinder *_fully intends_* to bring about mankind's downfall in the most painful way possible out of revenge.
The entire chorus - Essentially Cinder saying no one will stop her, *_"and when it ends"_* (when she is done) all heroes and all that is good will fall and crawl before her, victory will be for *_"hate incarnate"_* (aka. herself), and she will bring *_"misery and pain for all"._*
20:57 *_"This is- This is depressing! .. This is SAD!"_* Especially now that you know at least part of Cinder's backstory, it is truly sad how that innocent little girl was transformed into the embodiment of hatred and rage that she is today.

So, I don't know if you've heard about the movie Doctor Sleep, but there is some HEAVY RWBY connections in that movie. One of the main actresses is a huge RWBY fan, so she requested a bunch of RWBY merch for her character's room. There's posters and figurines everywhere in her scenes, and the implication is that she really likes Emerald because she has abilities like her. Her mental self projection even wears a Emerald-like wig!
It's probably the first major media that's featured RWBY.
A Blake Belladonna figurine can briefly be seen in The Matrix: Resurrections as well. Not in the "real world" of course, that would be too weird.
I started watching Doctor Sleep because my friend showed me a scene from the movie and I noticed RWBY posters and Abra's Emerald hairstyle.

Correct. After Volume 3 RT switched the animation engine to the more current and robust Maya engine.
They created the show RWBY Chibi to get the animators used to the new engine. After they finished Chibi Seson 1 they started work on RWBY Volume 4. When they made the Volume 4 Ruby Short they said they were like kids with a new toy and they may have gone a little over board during the short.

You’d love attack on titan, the main character is all about moving forward in a world where other fear and oppress his life.
Any time I see mention of Monty Oum it kills me inside a bit. I have premonitions occasionally, they never include all the details but I can always see bits and pieces and only some of the details. Queue one such premonition dream, I was reading something and saw that Monty had complications with his surgery, I didn't understand what was going on til after it had happened. I'd been a fan of his work since before RWBY started, and I woke up just sad as hell. I tried to contact Rooster Teeth, never did get through, doubt they'd have believed me anyhow, but I knew it was coming and I couldn't do anything about it, the end of Volume 3 crushed me because of this. To this day I don't even know if I can change what I see in these premonitions, or if they're set in stone, but every one I've had has come true at some point in my life not too long after I had it. usually it's just some event that doesn't matter to anyone or anything, but in this case I so badly wanted to do something about it.
The biggest problem with the ship emote is you first need FNDM tier ship names! We gotta get to work people, we got Glynda x Ghost, Ghost x Chair, and Chair x Glynda x Ghost to figure out

So, DC comics has two separate RWBY runs. One is a crossover with the Justice League and is not canon to the show. The other is a short 14 issue run between the events of volumes 3 and 4 and IS canon. However, some of this is best to read after volume 4, as it spoils some of the characters either brought back, or introduced in volume 4.
The game Grimm Eclipse can be played now. It does contain new outfits from recent seasons, but it doesn't spoil anything regarding characters and story. The game takes place between volumes 2 and 3. It does have a somewhat sad detail though. When you go to the Team JNPR select screen and change the outfits to Volume 4, Pyrrha's image fades out and her eyes close, because she's dead.
Other than those, there are a bunch of RWBY manga (I think there are 8 books in total), all of which are non canon. In addition, there are three novels. After the Fall, Before the Dawn, and Roman Holiday. After the Fall can be read immediately and focus on Team CVFY after Volume 3. Before the Dawn CAN be read immediately, but it has slight spoilers for Volumes 4 and 5. It too, also focuses on Team CFVY (as well as another team that you'll find out about if you ever decide to check it out).
Roman Holiday can also be safely read, as it is a prequel to the main series focusing on Torchwick and Neo's lives before the show, and how they met. The book does contain a character introduced in Volume 6, but she's not a main character, so it doesn't matter. It also brings back characters from the Yellow Trailer, and mentions characters introduced in the semi-canon D&D spin-off show, RWBY:The Grimm Campaign. Grimm Campaign as well as be seen immediately, as it takes place 2 yesrs before the events of the main show. However, due to it being a First exclusive, and only season 1 being available to watch without a membership, I do not know if you are allowed to react to it.
You don't HAVE to get into any of this, but it would be cool to see videos on some of it. For the books, you could easily just read them on your own time and make a review video. But I'm sure anyone who's seen Grimm Campaign would love to see reactions of that (if possible).
One of my favorite scores from this show of all time is NDGO vs SSSN from their fight this season. You should definitely check it out, even if it's just on your own time.
