I'm confused why the congregation is repeatedly referred to as the "audience". The worshipping assembly should be active participants, not passive observers. I wonder what that says about his theology. Perhaps fundamentalist/non-denominational type churches don't really have much of theology of worship. I guess that would also explain why their churches don't resembled churches either.
I'm disturbed by the trend of my denomination churches removing the traditional pulpits. Every church I visit now have empty pulpits; no chairs, wooden pulpit gone, and replaced by a glass/ clear plastic thing... The entire atmosphere is unusual.

Having done pulpit searches before... the selection out there was not impressive - but this review went through a great selection! I’ve also seen people ditch the pulpit and just use an iPad mounted on a mic stand-style pole. Thanks!
Don't care what kind of podium is used, just that the Word is faithfully preached and the Truth is taught. In fact, my pastor has none of those. He uses his tablet to preach from.
Hi Pastor im really asking for donations for a pulpit to the extend recently opened a church in South Africa which was abandoned it has about 50 chairs and a table which we use for sermons may we find the favour and Grace of God from your Channel.. we dont really need money we need church Furnitures pulpit being the main thing for now
The one from which the word is faithfully preached is the best pulpit. 😉
